Disgusting service. I simply came to get my jeans altered... and the woman was just insolent. She was extremely abrasive; giving sighs, attitude, and even remarks such as why I even bought "such big jeans" in the first place. She couldn't give me a back dart as the butt pockets would touch, and so I offered to make side darts instead. She ignored me, sighing while pinning. In the end, it was $70, just for taking in the waist - horrible value. I refunded my money and learned how to sew my own clothes just out of spite. (It ended up being pretty easy.) I've never met anyone so arrogant and contemptuous, given I was patient and respectful with her throughout. read more

I brought in my favorite pair of jeans to have a belt loop sewn back on. I originally brought in a sweatshirt as well to have the zipper replaced. The jeans were $5 to fix; the sweatshirt $55. I asked why is the zipper so expensive (I've had zippers replaced before it wasn't $55). She dismissively said "that's the price." I took my sweatshirt to another alterations shop and they charged me $47. I left the jeans there and had them fixed. I just picked them up today. It was a different lady working behind the counter this time, but she was just as rude if not more so. Here's how the conversation went: She like "$5" I hand her my card She says "you don't have cash? We get charged whenever we runs cards" I said "no I don't have any cash" She said "it's just $5" I said "I DONT HAVE ANY CASH" She gives me a disgusted scoff and makes a cringing sound and runs the card then hands it to me and stands there like a ----- She looks at me like if to say "what?" Or "is that it?" I'm like "receipt??" I will never go back. I wish I never gave them any business read more

I brought 3 work shirts to have patches placed (3 patches on each shirt). The lady at the front desk who took my shirts barely spoke a word to me and just gave me a receipt and left. I thought $90 was hefty for sewing patches but I paid it because I needed these shirts for work asap. I called 5 days later wondering if my shirts were ready as this is something very simple. I got attitude from the same lady with an accent and she said "did you not read the receipt?" I noticed the receipt had a date but nowhere does it say that's the pick up date. I ended up waiting the full 7 days to pick up my shirts and the same lady had the nerve to still bring up me not "reading" the receipt. I will not recommend this place to any of my colleagues or friends. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, which is consistent with the other one-star reviews of this Absolute-mess-of-an-Alteration shop. My wife dropped off a tennis top to get the back altered. It was a brand new tennis top that her team ordered (has sentimental value because her team made it to nationals, and she cannot buy another one as they were custom prints ordered in bulk). When she picked up the top there was a small slit cut in the front, directly in line with the cut that was made in the back of the top during the alteration. It's fairly obvious the cut was made during the alteration (see photos), but Absolute Alterations had the nerve to tell my wife that she may have cut a hole in the top when she opened up the package (which is also absurd because she opened it with her hands). After multiple excuses, one being that they didn't have an instrument sharp enough to make the cut in the front (obviously they had an instrument to cut the back, which is the same material), they repaired the cut but it is still visible. The upsetting part of this process was their attitude with resolving this issue. Obviously, they felt guilty enough to repair the hole, but never once was there an apology and they never offered any money back or took any responsibility. We would have asked them to replace the top but we are unable to order another customer print unless we order 10 or more. A simple apology would have gone a long way and we would not have been as upset. Absolutely not coming back. read more

Had such a great first experience. I called about 30 minutes before they closed to see if I could get a strap fixed and the lady told me if I get there quickly she could do it. Once I got to them Tatyana quickly fixed my shirt for me and was so kind. When I asked how much I owed she told me no charge! I will for sure be going back for any future alterations. read more

Great experience at Absolute Alterations! I ordered a "custom-sized" chiffon bridesmaid dress online, but it was much too large when it arrived. It needed to be altered, so I decided to try out Absolute Alterations, I took my dress in during lunch on a weekday, and the ladies quickly pinned up the problem areas of the dress and gave me an estimate (total ~5 min). I'd never had anything altered before, so I was expecting it to be expensive to take in my dress, which I thought was fairly complex (3-layered, fully-lined chiffon). I was pleasantly surprised that it would only cost $55, which was really great because the dress company (Azazie) covered $50 of alterations. The dress was ready within a couple of weeks (I insisted I didn't need it for a couple of months), but I live out of town, so I was just able to try it on for the first time. The dress was absolutely PERFECT. I don't think it could fit any better. read more

The only alteration shop I trust! I've been coming here since high school & now my husband comes here as well for all his alterations! They're more than friendly, inexpensive, the store is always clean, & they always do a great job! Since I'm pretty short... most of my pants have been altered, my sister's wedding dress & even some of my bridesmaid's dresses were altered here. Bought a pair of leather Jeans they fit great in the waist but were incredibly baggy in the legs and also had to be hemmed for length. Tanya took the time to size me correctly and offered her expertise in leather tailoring we agreed and the order was set in two weeks my pants came back perfect in everyway, beautiful workmanship. Great experience with Absolute Alterations! I brought in two pair of high quality slacks to be taken in one full size (from a size 4 to a size 2). These are triple stitched trousers thick fabric so I worried the alteration would be noticeable (uneven stitching and/or bulky seams). Well...I couldn't be happier! So I had a small, unlined curtain panel to split in half which is a very easy job to do... This place would charge $30 which is expensive. I found out that alteration places in Orangevale would charge $10 or $15 dollars to do the same job. read more

I was very impressed with the workmanship. I wasn't sure if anyone could fix my outfits. I had ethinic outfits ordered online and when they came they were a mess.
