Great variety of shoes and purses. Store is always freezing, though, so wear a coat. Mixed customer service. Recently a clerk went to look for a shoe and didn't come back to tell me they didn't have. During sales the store gets very crowded but there are not enough clerks. Rewards program is a plus. read more

Came here to get some shoes for a trip and was greeted by a nice woman who worked there and helped us find what we needed. There's a large selection of shoes (Uggs, Birkenstocks, and more) on the first and second floor where the second floor is also 50% off. The shoes are very high quality and nice leather. read more

Bad business. Bought a really expensive pair of shoes for work and realized once I got home and tried them on and walked around the house that the heel was too much. They have a 30 day return policy but wouldn't honor it. I was prompt and tried to do my return within a week. Don't have a return policy, if you aren't going to honor it. Not only that, they wouldn't even do store credit. Step up your game Abraxas. Do better. We are a small community and if you want people to give you business do good business. read more

I bought a pair of quality shoes that were quite expensive and I only wore them inside during working hours, but they started to malfunction after just 3 months. I went back to the store hoping they would offer to glue the shoes (a simple fix for the time being) or help in literally any way, but they did not help me at all. In fact, they didn't apologize or express any kind of remorse or willingness to help. The person at the front counter simply said she'd check for glue, then came back saying "no glue today". I walked away feeling frustrated and confused because I'm not used to investing in quality shoes from a quality shoe store, and when I finally did, the shoes fell apart quicker than cheap Amazon shoes, and the service was worse than Amazon's. I called Plaza Shoe in Arcata to see what kind of warranty policy they have, and the woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly helpful! She directed me to some next steps I could take, advised me on shoe repair and brands with great warranties, and explained their warranty policy. Needless to say that I will not be shopping at Abraxas again, and will choose Plaza Shoe as my new local shoes store. read more

There was an overwhelming selection of shoes and a large clearance selection up on the second floor. Brands featured include Ugg, Frye, and Hunter.
