The first time…read moreI used them, Michael noticed a small problem with my septic system that could have cost who-knows-how-much to repair it were not caught early. Micheal fixed the problem with a simple, common sense fix, and did not even charge me. That was 8 years ago, and I have been using him ever since. He pumped another one of my tanks this months. The system had backed up a couple of times. In rentals that usually means baby wipes were flushed down the toilet. But when we opened the system up, that did not appear to be the problem. Michael accurately diagnosed my problem. My drainfield was not draining. This was NOT the news I wanted to hear. I know replacing a drain costs many thousands of dollars. But once again, it was Michael to my rescue! He recommend that I get the drainfield jetted out and recommended All County Rooter. I did not even know you COULD do that with a drainfield! They come out and ran a camera scope through my drainfield pipes. And, yep, they were full of water (which does not happen if they are draining properly) and coat with what is politely referred to as a "biofilm." When All County Rooter started to jetting the drainfield, the water back flowing out was almost like mud. After about 10 minutes, the water back flowing out was perfectly clear. After another 10 minutes, there was no more back flow, because the drainfield was draining beautifully. Once again, Michael years of experience and common sense approach saved me thousands of dollars!!!

Update on second call! This time Brian came out, if you remember from the first post they had to…read moredescaled our Rinnai tankless water heater. According to Brian and many others, it's the best on the market. So, after the descaling we had low water pressure and we were still getting intermittent hot water and our unit was flashing a code 63. Code 63 means the water flow is low and a few things could be wrong. The number one issue was after descaling the line needed to be cleared from the little catch baskets. They did their part but more gunk from the descaling needed to clear the pipes. So, Brian turned the water off and pulled the little catch baskets again but only one had stuff in it and may have been the problem. But what really was the problem was our shower heads. Brian and Eric recommended we pull the pressure plug from the shower head. While Brian was here he gave great advice on codes for our Rinnai and the quality of water in our area. Our water pressure was much better but we were still getting intermittent hot water. So, following Eric, Brian and YouTunes advice and we pulled the pressure plugs from the shower heard. Now the water flows like the Snoquaimie Falls, hold smokes! But you know what, the water stays hot with no issues!!! So, if you're having this problem pull the shower head first plus and that should fix the problem. The cost for this was $0.00!

I hired All-Purpose Plumbing to clear an emergency main sewer backup at my rental property in Tacoma. I manage the property remotely, so I specifically requested documentation of the work and the condition of the line. The technician spent approximately two hours on site and charged me $1,741.01. According to the invoice, the service was to clear the main sewer drain. However, the technician ultimately documented that he was "unable to clear clog." I was told the blockage involved baby wipes and was referred for a costly excavation/repair project. Because the sewer backup remained unresolved, I immediately called another licensed plumbing company for a second opinion. They restored flow shortly afterward and then performed a sewer camera inspection. Based on that inspection, they identified root intrusion as the issue. This differed from what I had been told during the original service call. I contacted All-Purpose Plumbing's management and provided the invoices and the subsequent findings. Rather than resolving my concerns, the discussion focused on defending the original service. I was offered partial refunds, but we were unable to reach an agreement. I ultimately disputed the charge with my credit card issuer. I did not dispute the entire amount because I recognized there was value in the technician traveling to the property and attempting the work. I disputed everything above approximately $165, which I believed was a reasonable amount for the service attempt. After reviewing the documentation I submitted, including invoices and supporting evidence, my credit card issuer ruled in my favor on the disputed amount. Every homeowner can draw their own conclusions, but my experience left me with three recommendations: 1. Ask for photos or video documenting the condition of your line before authorizing expensive repairs whenever possible. 2. Get a second opinion before agreeing to major excavation work. 3. If the initial diagnosis doesn't match later findings, keep all documentation and invoices. Based on my experience, I would not use All-Purpose Plumbing again.

Well, Tom has a new license but has disconnected his two phone numbers and I've sent registered and return receipt letters to his addresses and they have been returned by the PO. He could be nice then turn and be rude. He refused to give a signed contract but did give a receipt that I thought would be binding. Before we hired him and Brian I made sure he had a bond and license. He kept saying I was just supposed to trust him. They did the work and the tankless works fine but when I did a call back on an issue I left several messages and when I didn't get a response I called Navien. When he finally came he kept saying to call him not the company and I told him that I did. Brian was supposed to take over the business but there is no way of getting ahold of either of them. Beware of any business that won't give you a signed contract up front and says just trust me. He was good...until he wasn't.

Started out with small jobs and then we had him re-plumb our whole house. (Plumbing was in the ceiling and we had it all moved to under the house). They have always done a great job for us. Last Saturday, I had a copper pipe burst at the hot water tank. I of course called Tom. Since he is not open on the weekends, but I called him. While I waiting for him to return my call, I called other plumbing companies. Only one place was open and I was told no one could help me until Monday. Tom called me back after just a few minutes. Although he was not open and is not scheduled for emergency services, he came right over. Tom said he could hear to panic in my voice and could not turn me away, he had to help. Tom is my superhero!
