We had a very disappointing experience with this business. We were charged $400 even though no services were performed, and we were not provided with an itemized invoice, receipt, or any documentation explaining what the charge was for. Being required to pay without proof of services feels unfair and concerning. The person who conducted the inspection was also very rude and unprofessional. We drove two hours for this appointment and arrived 30 minutes late. However, during our first appointment, we arrived early and waited over an hour when they were delayed -- and we did not complain. Unfortunately, we were not given the same courtesy or understanding. The way we were treated felt disrespectful and, honestly, harassing. Overall, this experience left us feeling taken advantage of and very disappointed. The technician did not check the first thing he was supposed to, and he did not fix the issue, but still wanted to charge me $400. When he came back the next day, he removed all the beautifully installed copper from my hot water tank, including some unused copper, and tried to charge me again. Greg, the district manager, is not helpful at all; when I called him twice, he told the customer service he was going to lunch and never called back. Predatory services A+ was called to help my mother in law and her elderly mother fix an issue with an electrical circuit that was not working properly. It turns out that a GFCI had been tripped causing other outlets that were wired up down the line to not work. An easy fix was to reset the GFCI. They charged $80 to come out and fix it, which is understandable. However when asked what the problem was and how it was fixed they refused to share this information unless grandma was willing to fork over another $80! This is predatory behavior, A+ should be ashamed of this behavior and for this, A+ gets an F-. read more

Our power went out a few days ago during a storm and fried the control board for our furnace. One of the "premium" HVAC firms in the Olympia area came out and advised us that the board was not in stock, but they'd order it and get it installed - perhaps the following week sometime. The service call was $205, even though our house is just 2 miles from their office. To order the board and install it would be another $815. $1020 to replace a silly 3" x 3" board?? What?!?!? I decided to call A Plus and at least give them a try as I didnt want to wait a whole week for heat. At any rate, Aaron was out within an hour to check it out. He then drove up north to a parts distributor to get the board the next morning, and promptly had it installed and the furnace working in well nder 24 hours. That's darn good service!!! And, the best part is that the overall cost was well under half of what the "premium" HVAC company had quoted us. I'll definitely call A Plus again in the future, too bad I had used a variety of other firms in the past, usually without great service but always with astronomical prices. Thanks!! read more

I used this company, recommended by a friend, for the first time to pump and inspect my septic. It went well. Quick, on time, good communication, and professional. I gave 3 stars because I was charged $300 to dig for 10 minutes to expose a couple of lids Literally he was done digging in 10 minutes. He cut me some slack, maybe felt guilty, and charged me $250. Maybe prorate the time it takes to dig. WOW that's $30 a minute! I'm a veteran on a fixed budget and to pay $730 to have my septic pumped and inspected is a bit much. Oh they did give me a $20 veteran's discount. The entire process took less than an hour! Good service, last time I will use them! read more

After having dealt with another company that not only broke one promise from the initial quote, to charging for work undone to charging us from taxi running fees on the vehicle to not being able to find our tank, and more so we were told that our only option was to most likely need a replacement tank as they did not do repairs in our county, of Thurston. We were at a severe standstill considering we were moving out of town and were on a strict time line. Thru someone we knew we were referred to A+ septic and from start to finish; Chris and his crew of Carlos and Cody were extremely on the ball and ready to work. The work was started and done within four days without hesitation and the cost was not anywhere near what we were initially quoted by first company. If you need septic repairs, call A+; these are truly the guys you want to handle your septic repairs!!!! Extremely overpriced. As others said, I was in a bind and needed plumbing work done. Thr estimate was high but I assumed there was more involved than just replacing a valve. The part cost about $300. The length of the job was about 2 hours. The charge was $1450! Even with 100% mark up on the part, I was charged $425/hour. Buyer beware. Invoice # 152987 on 4-19. ***Update 2*** You have my mailing address from the invoice. I didn't cash the check over 3 months later. It was 45 days. Most checks are good for at least 90 days after being written, thus the reason for my surprise upon being told that the check was bad. I'll be calling tomorrow. read more

Called this company to come pump out septic tank. They did, then told us all of the problems with it. Said it was urgent. So we paid...dearly. The work was so cheaply done my son could have done better with his LEGO set. In fact we found the part on Amazon for $25!!! Not at all what was described to us. Usually we do our due diligence and check on a company or make sure the repairs are really needed but they had us so worried and were so convincing, saying they would have to call the city to report it if we didn't fix it, we felt it better to be safe than sorry with the septic. They also took the cement cover lid! Called and asked them to return it and they brought one that didn't even fit. What a rip off. So sad because I am sure they have done this same thing to many others. Shame on them. Beware of this place!!! Never again!! -Response To A+ 2/20/19 I posted this because I felt people deserved to know our experience. I will not argue my point, it is silly to do so on yelp. *** DO NOT SIGN WAIVER'S *** When it came time to sell my house in a timely manner as I am in the military, I turned to A+ services to help with my electrical issues. I contacted A+ services 48 hours to my appointment stating that I needed 8 outlets extended from their current level to match the level of the new tile backsplash. A+ services confirmed the appointment for a window between 2pm and 4pm. Can someone explain why the electrician showed up at 730pm and on top of that didn't even start working till 8pm due to having to go to Home Depot for supplies. And even after getting supplies he then spent an hour on the phone with another client explaining how to fix an electrical issue over the phone. At the end of the service the technician then charged me $1,300 for such a small project in which he was late and used half his time talking on the phone. After continuously calling to complain about the tardiness, price and ridiculous service I have still not received a phone call back regarding the service in which I received. After receiving all copies of my receipt, I noticed that when I signed my my original receipt they had automatically replicated my signature on waivers that prevents anyone going after the company legally. I HIGHLY recommend you "DO NOT" use this company as they take advantage of customers and military members on small short suspense projects. read more

I called talked to someone on the phone about the quote he agreed with me that it was just an outrageous price. He said I will let the manager know guess what NO RETURN CALL. THIS COMPANY IS SCAM! After installing a new kitchen sink, the water didn't drain. I took off the P pipes underneath and nothing was clogged there. So I believe the clogged was somewhere inside the vertical pipes within the wall. This company charged $45 bucks to come out and to take a look. The tech gave me an estimate of $500 to snake the pipes for a job that could take less than 15 minutes. The tech also took a look at my bathroom sink that dispensing water that tasted metallic. Tech told me that gas pipes were installed and that was the reason why the water tasted like metal and estimated around $800 to replace the pipe by removing the whole unit. Luckily, I called PLC Plumping Services. They don't charge to come out to give an estimate. And PLC won't charge you if they can't fix the issue. It only cost me $130 compared to $500 to get my kitchen sink snaked and took Max less than 15 minutes. Max also fixed my bathroom sink for free. There were no problems with the pipes at all. Max informed me that the new faucet head had collected some debris. All he did was unscrew the top of the faucet and wash the junk out. read more

The alarm for my septic system was going off so I called A +, pretty sure that it was pump that was failing. Justin and Kalae came out, took a look, thought that it might just be "fluke", explained everything to be so patiently and in detail and left, saying they wouldn't charge me. (How about that??) Unfortunately the alarm went off again a few days later and Justin and Kalae responded immediately. Turned out it wasn't the pump but rather plug holes in the drainage pipes. Once again they explained everything in detail, were incredibly patient, and did a great and clean job taking care of the problem. Really am strongly recommending them and the A + Services company. I've been in the real estate business 30 years as a broker and this is an industry that needs to have septic tanks installed, pumped, inspected, repaired and replaced. For us to sell a house in Thurston County we have several steps if it has a septic system. We have to hire a pumper approved by the county to pump and fill out certain reports that get uploaded to the county and then apply at Thurston County to get a Time of Transfer. Often the agents or sellers hire the septic company to do the entire package. Sometimes sellers do it themselves. With Covid, and not being able to go to the county for months, most hire the pumper to do the entire package. The only company in this area that I consistently hear complaints about from owners and other real estate companies, is this one. I would never hire them for myself or my clients. I have had 2 very negative issues in 2020 with them and the resolve was less than best practice. In my experience they are late applying for the Time of Transfer too often and it's an online process. I have done it hundreds of times for my sellers, if done online it takes me about 1 minute. If quality work and care is important, if timely is important, if getting calls returned is important, if professional customer service when you do have an issue is important, keep looking. There are many more choices out there. read more

This company was really frustrating to work with. A Plus had serviced our home for the previous owner so we thought it would be wise to use them again. We were so disappointed in our experience that we ended up using another company. The sad part was that the driver was great to work with He came out to our house, but then couldn't complete the job because we weren't given important information before he got there. The information we received from the office was different than what the driver needed. And this happened twice! Which then put us in a huge bind for selling our house. Plus, the prices were really high compared to the company we went with. My name is Audrey Goodwin I had A Plus Services at my home on October 19 to replace all old piping with new industrial pipes. My husband wasn't home. So he called and I placed him on speaker phone, so Ron could hear exactly what he wanted. My husband stated "replace all old piping with new industrial piping so he wouldn't have to revisit the problem". Ron stated , he understood. He used 2 pieces of industrial pipe and 2 pieces of cheap plastic and left the other leaking rusty pipes in place. I asked him why he didn't replace all the piping? He stated, "It didn't need replacing"! I paid him the 868.14 cents, because I don't like confrontation, knowing he was in the wrong. My husband came home and was irate! He called the 24 hour number filed a complaint and saying they need to finish the job. On the 20th of October I spoke to a employee name Dillon and filed a complaint. He took the complaint and said someone would contact me. I was given a email to send photos of the partially done job and a phone number. I've emailed and called and no one even attempted to contact me. My husband said," Be patient and they'll get back to you"! As of today, November 4 2021, that hasn't happened. Today I filed a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General's office. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE UNETHICAL PRICE GOUGING CRIMINALS, EVER! in early May we requested to have a technichian from this company come out and give estimate for leaky front faucet, Larry came out and spent less than an hour inspecting, came to me and said we needed front and back faucet replaced also claimed we had a leak under house plus grey water cleanup, quote came to 6400.00 reached out to my 80-year-old landlord. she was reluctant about amount but needed plumbing fixed. we schedule first visit where the tech Larry was here for only 1 hour and stated all is good and done also stated a one-year warranty. a week late I had to call them back out, my back faucet was running off our hot water heater so yes watering yard with hot water. he came and fixed. the following week was using front faucet which was still leaking from handle. So I called for a second time they came back and said it was a Manufactuing defect but it was fixed. as of today 07/25/2024 my front faucet is still leaking and I have called every other day to get someone out to fix this problem, The receptionist always says the manager is on the phone or in a meeting or get this taking care of customers. Called yesterday and he is still on the phone with customers. I am so frustrated because clearly they dont do what they promise. Be careful hiring this company they are very shadey. My wife and I were tired of having to guesstimate where the hatches were every few years so we decided to get risers & screw-down hatches installed. Two days later Jason and La'e arrived. They both were very polite & professional, and I really felt that they listened to my concerns, and made sure that the choices I made were informed choices. I don't even know where to begin. If you look up the definition of "shyster" in the dictionary, I bet you will find their phone number. First of all...they are one of the only companies in Olympia that will charge you just to come give an estimate. It's probably the only way they can make money because no one is going to hire them at their preposterous rates. Not to mention they give themselves a cushy 6-hour window to show up. Somehow they found a way to screw you through every step of the process and still stay in business. Onto the estimate itself... We weren't sure exactly where the outside clean-out access was, so the plumber decided that rather than help us locate it, he would have to remove the toilet and perform the job from inside the house. He seemed nice enough but he was either incompetent/lazy or just wanted to find a way to gouge us for as many labor hours as possible. $833 for a couple hours work!!! We told him to get lost, but still had to fork over $42 for wasting the precious time he took to come over and give us a ridiculous estimate... Unbelievable. We ended up calling Top Notch Plumbing instead and it was the best decision we ever made. Mike found our outside clean-out access within 30 minutes and had the job completed shortly thereafter. And for only $350 (less than half the price!!!). I really cant think of any possible reason to even bother calling A+ in the first place. Don't make the same mistake I did and save yourself $40+ dollars wasted for nothing in return. read more
