No Stars! I had a gushing valve at the base of the house last week & had to have the city come and turn off the water. A+ Services came also... and charged me $876 for installing a new ball valve... The plumber was here for 1 hour and 20 minutes. He explained the "flat rate system"... I was overwhelmed so I agreed to the price... but this was a total rip-off. I wrote the company a letter and asked for a partial refund. In the letter I said that if I didn't hear from them by this week, I would contact Jesse Jones at King 5 TV. They called on Tuesday and offered me $54 back!!! Today, I checked with Dept. of Labor and Industries and found out the plumber was a "trainee" without an active license. He was also unsupervised. This company and the plumber now have some nice fines to pay. Today, I also sent a note to Jesse Jones at King 5 TV. Consumers need to be aware of companies that charge "flat rates". !!!!! So when the company called me today, I asked for a total refund. They said they'd give me the total refund as long as I sign a letter agreeing to drop my notification to the "news". The general manager is supposed to deliver the check tomorrow... I will sign the letter so I get my money back... This is a gag order... Another sign of this company's ethics!!! BEWARE of A+ Services perky-two page add in the Olympia phone book! UPDATE 9.21.12 The company has given me a full refund via a credit on my card... i had called to gave someone come out and look at our furnace, it was blowing out cool air, they came out the next day and told us that the furnace was old and that they could fix it, however, it would nickle and dime us to death. We got a quote on fixing the furnace and a whole new system with a heat pump for AC during the summer, my husband went with the new system. Nick and Joe were awesome, had the unit delivered on Saturday and the installation was the Monday before New Years Eve. We love our new system and would recommend A+Services read more

So it's Saturday, my tankless hot water heater won't work. I do what I can based on the manual, on Internet research and experience. Epic fail. I could find one company willing to come out on Saturday. I spoke with the dispatcher, who thereafter called me several times to update me on the status of plumber who was working his way to my place. Fast forward through actual diagnostics, multiple attempts to revive the hot water heater and ultimate identification of the core problem. Options were really not what I was hoping for but they were discussed fully, as were the costs. The options included various repairs, or replacement. I've had a tankless hot water heater for 30y and at this point have a good sense when it is worth repairing and when it's time to cut my losses. My plumber, Levi, was back on Monday at the promised time and as soon as a replacement could be obtained and it was fixed. Working well, hot showers are wonderful! In addition, no hidden charges, debris removed, nicely cleaned up and the key problem permanently fixed. Turned out it had been missed by 3 other companies previously. They were faster & probably cheaper but never fixed the actual cause. Having it fixed is worth it. I can't comment on the many bad reviews but they do not reflect my experience with this company. read more

I had a common experience with these clowns (back in 2015) that these other reviewers have had had. They pump your tank, then tell you your tank is cracked, they can fix it for $4,000 or so and that they must report it to the county. So basically, they try to extort the $ out of you. I called another septic company. They came out for free and said your tank is fine, A+ does this to many of their victims. It's been pumped three times since they tried to extort me, no issues whatsoever, no leaks no nothing. I had it pumped and checked today, 5 years later. By Rocklan. No issues at all with the tank!! I wish I could give this company zero stars. They came out to pump my septic and within ten minutes were telling me all the hundreds of dollars of additional fees they would have to charge me. I had A Plus do some work for me, and not only did they do a superior job, but I was presented with a rose when they were all done. A few years later I needed proof of this work being done. I spoke to Amanda and she was so helpful. She got the document for me and was very polite and efficient. I found this to be the case with all of the people that you work with at A Plus. read more

We've been trying to chase down a leak that was soaking our carpet for some time. I called A+ and got an appt. They actually were able to come a day early and their technician (I think his name was Larry?) diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes, and repaired it immediately. (loose fitting). I can't give anything but praise for their response time and service, courtesy, and expertise. I will never call anyone else. read more

I called for an electrical repair related to my septic system. Two visits and $2,300 later and they still couldn't fix it. The electrician lied about his knowledge and back-up support. I ended up hiring another electrician who fixed it in a jiffy. Don't call these people. They will waste your time and money. read more

I had a plus do a lot of plumbing on a house that I just purchased and all seemed well. About 3 months after they had fixed a leak in my downstairs toilet I called them to come investigate as I noticed it had a small seal leak. They sent a plumber out who pulled the toilet and resealed it. Within three weeks my floor had swollen up so badly that I could barely open my bathroom door. I immediately called them and spoke to Dillon and he reported it to Jeff the manager. It took 3 to 4 days for them to even come out and look at it at which point they told me they didn't do it it must have been my flooring man (who by the way installed the floors 2 months previous to the leak and subsequent damage). I have called with zero response and filed a complaint with the attorney general which they refused to respond to as well, AND they're not listed with the BBB. Zero response zero accountability I ended up spending $2,800 in restoration repairs due to them not putting the valve on correctly when reinstalling the toilet. My Restoration company said the water damage had happened within the last 2 weeks as there was no mold. There's literally nobody that wants to take any responsibility if you look at all of these complaints for their liabilities. My next course of action is litigation and I sure hope that those of you complaining do as well. read more

A+ did the inspection of my septic in 2013 and everything reported passing. I was not able to attend so I trusted the inspection report. It's been two years since the inspection I havery some issues. When we dug up the pump chamber there was a rotted out lid with a garbage bag over it. Problem is that the lid was so deteriorated that dirt filled the chamber. No way this occurred in this time period. I Called the Puyallup office and asked for a manager. The gal on the phone said it will take a full week before anyone would call me back although I asked for an immediate call back to discuss getting me up and running. If buying a home do not trust this service. I will be posting the report and pictures on facebook. read more

We have had unfortunate service from this company. They did the pumping service required by the county prior our purchasing the house. So when we decided to sell our house this year we called A+. However, they came out to house and did the pumping and produced a report. That report was rejected by the County as it was not accurate. We had a completely different kind of sewer system than the report was submitted for. Now, yesterday when called back because of the report we were charged for that call. Tonight I was informed that the correct fix to our system will cost $1790.00. I will be calling them tomorrow to see what the fair solution is to this problem. read more

I can't speak for what I've seen regarding the electrical aspect of this company. But as for the septic, I haven't seen or heard anything like what this company does to people. Most recently I was replacing a effluent pump 2 days after they "pumped" the septic tank. Well I took off the cover and they didn't pump any of it. $350 later the customer was mad, I was mad and after calling back and threatening to call the county to inspect it, they finally agreed to come out and pump it for free. Apparently when the customer was watching one of the workers pump the poop. He got defensive and said "do you always watch when people work for you?" And immediately afterwards covered the hole and said he was done. I wish I could give them less that 1 stars but since I can't ill just have to give a review every time I come in contact with A+'s 'work'. read more

Needed electrical work ASAP. Unfortunately, had to wait a few days before they could fit me in. It took an hour for them to drive the few miles to my house and something one of them said about the time devoted to my repair didn't click until later. I think they drag their feet because they think it justifies the high cost of their services. The work was done, so I'm happy, but their pricing is super-high. The almost $40 charge to just give an estimate hooks you in. You don't want to waste that $40, so you go ahead with the work. I see so many bad reviews of them here. Maybe they'll revise their charges if they realize how outrageous they are. read more

It is so not like me to not check out a company before calling but I did. Learned my lesson They came out and looked at my leaking shower faucet. Gave me a total price of $428 which I thought was very steep but figured it must be more involved than it looked to me. 15 minutes later and a cartridge I could of got at Home Depot for $28 and they were done. The guys reason was as the company gets bigger they have to charge more! Not only did they rip me off but they left mud prints on my floor and in the tub THEN the next day I turn it on and have no hot water in shower at all. Me and my husband purchased a furnace and a heat pump recommended by this place we spent over $8,000 for the new system 2 years ago I called A+ one week ago and told them that my system wasn't working right something was wrong they came out check the system said the circuit board was Burnt the brand that we bought was Coleman, Nick, is a serviceman one of them that came out he said that they don't sell Coleman no more the Coleman's are piece of s*** blah blah and he also stated that they did an overhaul of their office the only information he could give me is that my system wasn't a good system but they sold it too us. 2yrs ago Nick said he would have to get back to me to let me know what the cost would be or if they can even help me because they didn't sell Coleman's no more. A+ I don't recommend to anyone to use them my system was only two years old and they didn't even give a hoot or even try to help at all. So to make a long story short Nick from a+called me on the phone instated that they could not help me because they didn't sell Coleman's no more and Nick recommended that I call sunrise energy systems because they still did repairs on Coleman's. Right off the bat when I called sunrise energy systems the gal on the phone told me that they would be checking with Coleman to make sure there wasn't any recalls on any parts so come to find out it was a recall part the circuit board Dennis is the gentleman that came out and help me from sunrise energy systems very polite I would recommend sunrise energy systems any day I will have sunrise energy also be doing my yearly inspection not a plus. Only get 1 star because I can't give them 1/2 star, but that's all they deserve. The work was fine, but checking with other plumbers after the fact - I was gouged. Major overcharge for a shower valve replacement. I was stuck in Hawaii (poor me), but I got a frantic call from a tenant and they only number I had on my phone was A+. They charged me $1400 to replace the valve because they said they couldn't replace the $20 cartridge. I have checked with 3 other smaller reputable plumbers who all say they could have done the job for $200 max. Stay away from these guys until they start charging reasonable rates. read more

Our tenants plugged excess devices into old wiring, burning wires in one outlet and heat damaging wires in 2 other outlets. Richie came out and checked every breaker in the breaker box to ensure the breakers were all good. He then checked every outlet on the involved circuit. He replaced all 3 outlets, explaining what had happened and what had caused the problem. He was very competent, efficient, and professional. Dealing with electrical or mechanical issues is usually challenging and at times traumatic. Richie was wonderful. He made what is generally unpleasant a very positive experience. Quality of work = average. Billing = outrageous. My elderly mother called this company to fix a leaky outside faucet. They came and gave 2 estimates with 2 price points: one for non-member ($366.01 or $688.85) and a "Honor Roll" member ($349.01 or $688.79). I don't question a dispatch charge - it's only fair. I question the nearly $300 charge for a $35 faucet (Woodford 1/2" hose bibb). Even Sears asks only $100 for the same part. I called to ask about the charges and was told the customer service rep was out of the office and only is in Tu/W/Th. I'm posting this now to let others know of the questionable billing practices and potential for astronomical charges. If this is resolved satisfactorily, I will amend this review. If not, I'll still amend it. Regardless, get more than one estimate/bid for work. read more

They charged me over $5,000.00 to replace the pump and pump down the tank. And that was with my brother digging up the tank for them. Our sewer started draining slowly a few days ago. Then it began to back up completely and the house began to smell. Called Yelm Plumbing and was told they were out this week but this "sister company" could come out the next day (today). They came and figured that they needed to remove the toilet, snake the sewer line and replace the toilet. They quoted $790 for this; I had the entire sewer system jetted a year ago and spent $300. I found their quote outrageous and their expertise questionable. I would not recommend them. I have worked with better, more professional and reasonably priced plumbers in the 2 yrs that I have lived here. read more

I would agree 100% with the other reviewer (Bob) of A+ services. Instead of A+ they should be named F- Services. Not only was I misquoted when I called for a quote, but the "rumors" that A+ Services try to jack up their services with extra fees/services that you original did not ask for turned out to be true. After having part of our septic pumped, we were informed that we needed to pay more to have more of the fluid pumped and were told we had a 600 gal. tank. Turns out, whoops - we actually have a 1200 gal. tank and we had to pay for it all. To make the matters worse, when I was told that the manager could review the tape, I was told that it was a "miscommunication" -- and although the manager claimed the person quoting me had quoted me correctly, when I asked if she had heard me respond with the amount I had heard (a few hundred dollars less than the supposed quote) she first said that she did not get that far in the conversation, but then a few seconds later said that she had.... It was all in all not a satisfying experience - the manager who I spoke with afterwards offered nothing other than "it must have been a miscommunication." Not to mention they TAPE YOU on the phone without telling you they are doing so. All in all an icky experience - I will stay away from A+ services with a 20 foot pole and not recommend them to anyone in the future. read more

Dewey Fleecum and How! Yes, that's a Three Stooges reference to a law firm. But it applies here too. Abridged version of my experience with A+ (Fleecum and How!): Our septic system is in perfect working condition. But it was time to have it pumped off and I couldn't locate the number of the company that last did it for 300 dollars. So I called these shysters. The first move on their part was to open the outlet tank and douse it with Bio-Clean and a bucket of water. I asked what this was about and was told " this will keep your leach field clean, and it's FREE! So don't worry. "Ok, it's free, what can that hurt?" Thought I. Little did I know, but that was the first slight of hand BS trick he pulled. He then pulled up the filter and announced that "this filter was the worse thing I could do to my septic system, and we are going to replace it with the latest and greatest filter. An award winning filter that would function better than any other." It was Identical, aside from having a bit of metal wire mesh near the top. I asked how much that was going to cost, as the quote of 385 dollars to just pump off the tank was at the top of my budget for this job. He said not to worry about it. Slight of hand number two. The two lads were there for about an hour and a half, and had it all wrapped up at which time my wife showed up. We all discussed things a bit, and Shyster # 1 came from his truck with a rose and handed it to my wife. I joked that that was at least better than what a proctologist would do. We all got a laugh about that until he handed my wife his Ipad with the bill on it. She went from laughing to shock. The total was 993 dollars and change. I asked where the extra 600 dollars came from, and he didn't have an itemized invoice....what? After a few minutes of fuming on my part, we agreed that the office would email me an invoice within the next day or two. 4 days later, I called the office and asked for the invoice. "Yes sir, right away sir" was the reply. 3 days later I called again. Finally we got the invoice. I called to speak to someone and was told I would get a call in 24 to 48 hours from a manager. That was over a week ago. I don't expect anyone will call. Someone might respond here on yelp to try to save their skins, but don't bother. I'm not going to read it. I just purchased a home last year and I got a clogged drain. I tried to fix it but couldnt get it to work right. I called A+ and I spoke with a very nice lady whom sent someone out to see me. Long story short , the first thing I noticed is that they were on time , polite, professional and extremely courteous. The work was done in a quick professional manner , the tech let me know what he was doing and how he was going to fix it. I would totally use them again . read more

Reviews don't lie. Most of the Facebook reviews are from employees and their families. This place is incentive based and the technicians don't care about anything but selling more more more. Teresa the owner is full of it they charge for estimates because she's greedy. The customer service reps are RUDE, I was hung up on twice by the dispatcher Darrell for wanting to know when my technician would arrive. How someone like that has a job is beyond my comprehension. I should have known by the initial phone call that is was a bad idea. Larissa was too busy having side conversations and giggling that she got my address and name wrong. Upon arrival the tech was busy texting for 15 minutes prior to coming to my door. Quoted me 600+ dollars for a sink install and told me he could come back after hours at a discounted rate. If that doesn't say shady I don't know what does. Teresa get control of your business stop perpetuating bad customer service and clean house, it starts at the top and your company is a reflection of you. read more

These people are scam artists. I had them out to box some hot wires in the attic of a home I recently bought. They came and looked at the wires. Citing an exposed wire to the furnace, they told me they would not do anything about the hot wires unless I paid $30,000 to rewire my entire home, a month long project. As soon as they left I called UpRight Electrical Services, who came out the next day, boxed the hot wires, repaired the exposed wire at no extra cost, and told me everything looked great and the house did not need to be rewired. When I told them what happened with A+ Services they said, "that's criminal." Don't trust this company. read more

Today, they are here and doing the service at no cost which says volumes to me about the company and people who work there. If I could do less than one star I would. I wish I would have read these review PRIOR to using this company. We choose A+ septic for no other reason than because they popped up first (BIG MISTAKE). I have seen multiple people asking recently for septic pumping company suggestions and I wish we would have asked for the same advice. We were told pumping and inspection was about $425.00 and $50.00 for each tank they have to dig up. We tried locating our tanks but they were no where close to where the original plans had them. We had to have A+ find our 2 tank lids. Upon inspection, they told us that we needed a new outlet baffel and that it would not pass inspection with out this, which was another $459.00. They told us they file everything with the county and they could install the part the next day when we were at work. The exact words "ALL the work will be done by the time you get home." Sure enough the next day they came, not realizing my son was home. He was on the phone with me when the pulled in the drive way. I got off the phone, called my dad who lives 10 minutes away, he got in his car, came to my house and by the time he got there, they had left. I then called A+ Asking if their guy was done or what and they couldn't reach him. Long story, but when I questioned why a 5 minute job cost almost $500.00 they argued with me and told me that their guys gps says he was at our house for 45 minutes. I told them my son was home and literally witnessed them pulling in and then leaving. They then had me speak to the actual guy who fixed it and he said he had been there over 20 minutes when he finally knocked on our door and told my son he was there. I again told him that I was literally on the phone with my son when he pulled in, but he denied he was only there less than 10 minutes. When I asked how much they charge per hour all he could say was, "we charge by the job, not the hour." I asked for an itemized statement to be sent to me. Upon talking to some other people I have gotten the same feed back about this company. Now, I come to find out they actually charged me for 4 septic tank lids to be dug up (we only have 2) AND they didn't file anything with the county, just scanned it into the county site. County wants $215.00 to file the paperwork so we can sell our house. I have called this company 5 time in the last 3 days and been told each time that everything was done and we were good and everything was filed. When I called back today and told them this wasn't true I was told " we make it a policy to tell every customer that they are responsible for any fees associated with filing their own paperwork." We have now given this company over $1,100.00. It would be my advice to go with another company if you need spetic work. read more
