I had a great stylist at another place, but when she moved away, I knew I had to give Stone Fox a proper try. I remembered Jackie as being incredibly friendly and talented, but since she wasn't taking new clients, was referred to Alexis. Alexis is fantastic. Easy to talk to and she gave me just the haircut I was looking for. I get a really nice family vibe from Stone Fox. They all seem to get along but also treat their customers like family - in a good way! I love that their products are all natural and organic. I have no problem getting appointments quickly and at times that work for me. They have a super convenient parking lot, too, which is AWESOME for the East Side. I highly recommend this place and Alexis, in particular.

I had had a bad experience previously with another stylist who razored my ends to hell, and Sarah said that we would work together to get my hair back to where it should be. And my cut was exactly what I wanted even though I had to go a bit shorter than I would have liked (to get rid of the bad razoring). Sarah and I talked through everything to try to determine what was best for me and my hair - I was a little nervous seeing someone new, but she was very patient with me and took the time that was necessary to make sure I was happy with everything. The brand of hair products that SF carries is amazing. Similar to Aveda, in that they're natural and mostly organic, but they do so much more for my hair than Aveda ever could (and one of the shampoo/conditioner types smells like Thin Mints. THIN MINTS, people). I should probably mention that everyone at SF is super friendly, and that I've always had good interactions with everyone at the salon. I'm glad I made the switch!

She went above and beyond with all the foils.. And then almost did like a balayage technique as well. Almost 4 hours in her chair. I kind of felt so guilty. Poor girl. But she didn't mind at all. She also explained everything to me that she was doing. She cut off a little over 4 inches as well which should be honest. I probably could've went with six or seven, but I asked her for only four . The atmosphere was a definitely Top Notch vibe! Everyone there was extremely warm and welcoming to me as I was a new client. Thank you again so much for making me feel like a princess again. Not wanting crazy green toes, I opted for a beautiful teal color. Tracy was very thorough and helped bring life back into my dead feet. It's been weeks later and my polish still looks amazing and is not chipped at all! She also did a great job making my nails look healthy and pretty. The salon itself is very cute, with the mani/pedi station located in the back. They also have a massage room. I did not even know they offered that service. Tracy also told me about the other services she provides, including waxing and facials. Luxe is conveniently located in Shorewood on Capitol. I would love to come back and treat myself to additional pampering services!

I have nothing to gain from posting this other than letting people know she is not afraid to say horrible things to people. I called to ask about their covid protocols because they had 8 people inside without masks. The owner said it's family and hung up on me. I was okay with that explanation and thought it was the end of it. she then called me BACK to insult me and say I look unattractive and that "booty shorts" are not my thing. I was just calling about the masks and wasn't aggressive at all. I didn't want to post anything anywhere but because the owner thought I was okay to call me back and insult me for 5 minutes... well here I am. Totally unprofessional. What salon that's supposed to make women feel beautiful says "it's not the place for you sweetie you're unattractive not a good look"? I still can't believe this really happened.
