I've waxed pretty much all over West Plano and the services have always been decent. Now I realized the meaning of the word 'mediocre' because after using Elizabeth - that is by far the best experience I've had. She is super friendly and awesome at what she does. In all sincerity, she is meticulous and makes sure you are always comfortable. She offers a great service and I highly recommend visiting her.

It's been 5 years since the incident, so I decided to give it another try (plus didn't want chuckles and finger pointing while donning my 2 piece during my Mexican vacay). I found Elmira on groupon because she came highly recommended. I was a little leery at first because I had not had the best experiences on groupon as well. This was.... probably top 5 best decisions I've made in my life! Again, it had been a while since I had been waxed and was nervous about the amount of pain I would endure. I'm also a bit of a prude, which added several stages to my comfortability level. Elmira put me at ease, conversing with me the entire time. It was like talking to one of my girlfriends! Seriously! Out of 5 (5 being horrific pain!), my pain level was about a 1.5. She finished the job within 30 minutes (waxing times are longer for first timers or for those who don't get waxed often). I bought an exfoliating soap due to a few ingrown hairs, and then we sat down and CHATTED SOME MORE before her next client arrived. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE KNOWN ELMIRA FOREVER YALL!!! My skin is the smoothest it's ever been and I've already scheduled my next appointment. Life is good when you have a respectable pastor, doctor, and ESTHETICIAN....

I feel so pampered and these were some of the nicest most caring nail techs I've ever encountered out of any salon. I got a classic pedicure with regular polish and the queen manicure with gel, everything came out to $91 including a removal of some gel polish on my feet. The Queen manicure offers multiple scent options and starts with the gel polish, exfoliating scrub, another scrub with your selected scent, paraffin bagged steam towel treatment, lotion and then a shoulder massage. I selected aloe vera and what was really neat is it appeared to be a real spear of aloe and gel! Quincy was so caring and really made sure everything from my purse being placed on the right side, my hair was clipped up for the massage was ok for me. The classic pedicure promises a cleaning of the nails, scrub on the legs, calf massage, and warm water jet. Sophia was equally excellent and really tended to my comfort. What I appreciated the most is the ladies were caring and attentive but also didn't bug me with small talk or chatty with each other. They were fully focused on their tasks and making sure I was ok! 5 stars for that alone!

By the time I was done, I was practically a puddle on the spa table. Hailey was my technician and she was an absolute sweetheart -- attentive, skilled, and clearly passionate about what she does. My scalp felt squeaky clean after the double shampoo and scalp detox, which is something I didn't even know I needed until now. The Zen Deluxe package is incredibly comprehensive. You're getting a scalp analysis, eye treatment with a warm crystal eye mask, gentle face exfoliation, a mini facial massage with hydrating mask, therapeutic scalp massage, neck and shoulder muscle relaxation, cold water circulation therapy, a microcurrent facial treatment, and more. It reads like a menu of everything your body didn't know it was craving. One small note for my fellow curly girlies: the included basic blow dry isn't tailored for curly textures (it's not a true blowout). There is an upcharge option to have your hair straightened, but if you're looking for curl-friendly styling, just know you may want to plan accordingly and opt for air dry. Other than that, this was a flawless experience from start to finish. I'm already thinking about my next visit!

In case you weren't sure what dermaplaning is - it's a technique where they take a tiny blade and scrape off all the baby hairs on your face. It's amazing and left my skin so soft and smooth. It also helps your makeup go on much smoother. Lisa was very careful and walked me through the process so I knew what was happening every step of the way. She gave me some samples to use post treatment so I wouldn't have any major reactions. I will definitely go back and see her in a few weeks. I feel like with Groupon - you never know. But this was a happy risk with great rewards.
