I came in with a Groupon deal for a facial and 25 units botox. I'd had my 11 lines done once before several years ago at another spa, and I liked the results, so decided to try it again. I found all the staff to be amazing. Everyone has been so attentive and kind, from the receptionists who greeted me at my appointments (I had the facial and Botox on separate days) and over the phone, to the aesthetician who did my facial, and the woman who did my injections. I am terrible with names, apologies. The facial was relaxing and the woman was extremely kind and attentive. I then got my 11 lines done and the result was amazing! It was just the refresh I needed after a long battle w cancer just as I turned 40, resulting in my worry lines more pronounced. I told my hubby I wanted my crows feet done as well there, and he bought me 25 units more for Christmas, which I was advised I would need for that area, and also another facial. I can't wait to see the results, as I've never had that area done before! I'm not sure why some people had bad experiences in their reviews, but it was not my experience at all. I found everyone to be amazing and attentive to me. They were easy to get ahold of and my appointments scheduled within 1-2 weeks from my call. On May 22, 2024, I came here for a Groupon deal, which was 25 units of botox with microdermabrasion or red light therapy for $263. The first time I came I got a microdermabrasion, and the second time I got 30 units of botox, the extra 5 of which came to an extra $64.95 ($12.99/unit). I am very pleased with the botox results and would gladly come back for more. The microdermabrasion was fine, but I don't know if I'd buy it again. It might be because I exfoliate my face both physically and chemically on the regular, that I didn't really notice a difference. Abeo is the BEST medspa around! I have been going to Abeo for YEARS. It all started when I got Botox from a spa in the area ( South Shore, I won't mention) and it was awful. Joanne fixed it immediately and made sure to explain every detail about Botox and the things that needed to be done for the next 24/48 hours after. Cynthia, Kevin, and Joanne are the kindest, most helpful, and professional people. They take the time to hear your needs and go over every detail without rushing you or racking up the bill. This is a review for laser hair removal I purchased through Groupon. My friend recommended this place so I thought to give it a try! Ive had 2 sessions so far for my underarm. I was scared that receptionist would look down on customers who purchased through Groupon (as many do!), they did not! Receptionist was super nice. I had to reschedule my first appointment twice and there were no problems! (They were not last minute). However, sometimes they don't answer the phone because the receptionist do consultation and maybe they are on the line. So might need to call a few times, don't call last minute! I should add that i was 10 minutes late for both sessions and they were very nice about it (bridge construction slowed down traffic). First session, i saw results already. My hair reduced 50%!! I believe Sarah did my underarms both times, and she said to tell her when it hurts too much. It doesn't hurt much but I did tell her to stop twice because it was getting hot. Second session doesn't hurt as much. Less hair follicle you have as sessions go on, the less it hurts! Can't wait to see results. I really liked the staff here but I'm sad to say that the laser hair removal did not work. I had 6 treatments on my legs and 9 Brazilian. I have fair skin and dark hair so I'm the "perfect candidate" for laser hair removal. The treatments seemed to work at first, but a few months later the hair started growing back. My hair is almost back to how it was prior to the treatments, although slightly thinner. Definitely not worth the money. read more

I stumbled on to this place in Groupon- it was just over $500 for Botox and a facial. Everyone at this place was friendly. Unfortunately, my experience was less than stellar- actually a COMPLETE WASTE OF HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. Stupid me, I actually added on an extra $100 of Botox - when I was there, just to be sure there was more than enough to have a great result- based on previous experience with a well established Dr in Atlanta where I lived the previous year. I don't have a lot of wrinkles but the couple above my eyes actually looked more pronounced after my visit to this place. The ones between my eyes had literally no noticeable change. Here's the thing- Based on previous experiences with another Dr and with the same amount (or a bit more in this case) of Botox I can only come to the following 2 conclusions- the Dr is inexperienced or they are using sub standard product. I guess the worst part of all of this is that I'm here a few months later still unhappy about all of the money I wasted and this place never did anything to resolve this- clearly they didn't care (my opinion) based on their lack of action. I never received any message or communication back - via vmail, email, text, smoke signal- whatever. If I'm still feeling this way moving forward I'll make a report with the Better Business Bureau- it's not ok to take someone's money and not provide the service expected and paid for. Have been a long time client. I was disappointed at my recent experience at Abeo Med spa in Hingham upon my concern about my treatment. I was told there was a miscommunication. The service I received was the exact opposite from what I asked for. I returned and there was an additional cost for the corrective action. I left still feeling my request was not heard and the follow-up was not effective. 425.00 later and I look older than when I went in. I am left with no words than ' Buyer Beware'. read more

UPDATE (1/30/18): I got Botox at a deferent place, less units than I got here (16 vs 30!!) and it actually worked. I don't know what they they are using here, but my new lady said they must dilute it too much. It's been less than a week and I have more results now than I did with $500 worth of Botox at ABEO. Don't waste your money I have to say that overall I was disappointed with the service (Botox) I got from ABEO Medspa. I purchased a groupon for 15 units of Botox and microdermabrasion. Before I get to the bad review, I will say my microdermabrasion with Cynthia was good; she was lovely and her husband Kevin was nice as well. I had never received Botox before and came in for my appointment with Joanne. I asked her questions, however felt as though she was annoyed when she told me, she "doesn't usually spend this long on the consult before" when I had been there for only 5 minutes. I evidently needed much more Botox than I had purchased.. I needed about 26 if I recall. There was little to no change in my brow area even weeks later, which is what I had originally gone in for. I went back a week later for a follow up and received a couple more units. I did have good results in my crows feet. 8 weeks later I went back in for yet another touch up because again, my results in the brow area were non existent. She asked me if she'd ever seen me before, to which I told her I'd been in twice. Then she complimented me on my results (but wait.. she didn't recognize me, so...?) She told me it was time to re-do everything. I wasn't really financially prepared for that, but ended up getting 30 units in my forehead and brow area. I have had no results still (been a week but should have seen SOME improvements) and my eyebrow is now drooping. I honestly don't know what's going on with their product or the way they inject it (was it bad? Did she do it wrong?). I would not recommend this place for Botox. For facials and other skin treatments I bet would be ok, but I will never go back to Joanne. read more

I was so glad to check Abeo out (now twice) after her praise of the spa. It's super welcoming and the owners were very professional. One session I worked the nurse practitioner(blanking on her name) who was so thoughtful, thorough, and gave amazing results. My second appointment was with Cynthia; she has magic hands! I had an enzyme facial and one of the best microdermabrasion sessions ever. The facial massage portion was amazing. The location is great with plenty of free parking - a welcome change from Boston. It's at a great location, but the spa itself is small, cold, and it very welcoming. The receptionist looks like she has had too much botox, and it was hard to read her expression. She didn't seem pleased to have a new customer. She is also " the consultant", ..... She insisted that the 20 units I bought on Groupon wasn't enuf. After waiting 45 minutes,in a dark waiting room that was the size of a closet, they finally took me to a room for my Botox. The tech doing the injection was very nice, ...but I am not pleased with the results. It doesn't feel like my other Botox treatments, I can barely tell I've done anything,...can still wriggle and make lines on my forehead.....maybe their Botox isn't as strong as what I am used to,and , I bought more units to add to my Groupon units that day....... I am very unhappy with the service my husband received in regards to his laser hair removal groupon. I made a purchase for a large area since he planned to get his back done. However, on his first appointment, the consultant described his 'large back area' as only 60% of my back. She said he would need to purchase shoulders too. She blamed it on Groupon's description and was very unapologetic. I asked to speak with the manager or owner, and she said he was on vacation and there was nothing to be done. After three weeks, I finally got my money back from Groupon. He have since visited another spa for laser hair removal, and the full back area was not an issue. I am paying about the same price as the groupon at ABEO. Also, they space out the appointments for 8 weeks but I have heard 6 weeks is more appropriate. read more

Went this evening for a chemical peel with Nickole, and OMG, this place is amazing. I work as a hairdresser, so I have pretty high standards for salon/spa services, but I have to say, Abeo lived up to them. So as soon as I walked in I was greeted by Nickole, super friendly and sweet. Filled out some paperwork and consulted with her and then we got started. I could tell right off the bat she was super knowledgable - she explained everything she did in detail and went over every product she used, and what she recommended for me at home. I felt very relaxed and comfy the whole time - heated bed, blanket, and she gave me an awesome hand massage while my peel sat. After the peel she put a seaweed mask on my face and let me sit in the room alone for a while to relax, that was really nice. Bought some new serums to use at home and booked my next appt for another peel with Nickole, I can't wait to have awesome skin again. This place is great, you won't be disappointed!! read more

I just had my first visit here on Saturday and I can't say enough good things ... Make that great things ! First super clean literally was spotless it had that drs feel but the salon decor! I was greeted by Cynthia she was sooo nice , bubbly and very informative she went over all my consents page by page! She explained everything in detail, the waiting room was small but super clean and there was a variety of refreshments and magazines! Next I met Sara who was my technician she too was super bubbly and sweet, she brought me Into the treatment room and you guessed it super clean, she went over everything with me, she talked to me throughout my whole treatment which made it fly by!!! Well, my experience was very good, four stars for now until i have been to a few more laser sessions. But I thought the office was super clean, seemed pleasant enough for me.amd professional. Both the "reception girl" and the tech were both very nice and asked several times if i had questions or concerns. Gave a handout and clear instructions what to do and look for in the next few weeks. I also had a Groupon coupon and was not treated like a third-class customer at all. We went over what I wanted done and she said "ok, great, you ready?" No, "oh that isn't covered.." none of that. I thought Groupons description for what you are purchasing was pretty clear. No surprises here. So far so good. Update: although I now live in SC, I wanted to follow up on my review. My last appt with them was April 2015. This place treated me very well, no "second class" citizen bc I had a Groupon coupon. This place is no good. They turned my minimal hair issues into a major issue with 3x more hair, same issue with my sister. It is a scam, if you tell them it does not work, they convince you to pay hundreds more and purchase more sessions that make problems worse. I now pay more money to have my new issues fixed with electrolysis, which is much better. The woman doing my electrolysis also does laser hair removal and informed me that a professional place should take before and after photos to prove the results are real, and that the machine was most likely set too low causing dormant hairs to be stimulated. The place is clean, and really nice. The lady that did my botox (eye brow lift) didn't do it correctly. Only placed botox in the middle. Didn't go to my eye brow points like I had mentioned. So essentially I didn't get the result I wanted. She got rid of the wrinkles in between my brows, but that's not what I went in for. I'm 25, I didn't need it. I specifically asked for an eyebrow lift. I Wanted to pay for the microdermabrasion & 15 units package. ($199) ended up paying ($299) because I needed at least 20 units for my brows. & she did 5 in my upper lip (she also did it incorrectly) so didn't a get a result there either. $300 down the drain. I've got botox before and have had great results. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. Upset because I thought I had found a place where I can be a recurring patient. Also it doesn't let me add my review on Groupon. Seems like the reviews there are fake. Not sure why it wouldn't let me review. I would recommend You going somewhere else. I did call and spoke to the receptionist and the owner, she suggested I go back for a consultation to "review" my results. No discount for a next visit or offer to fix it at no cost. What a great experience I had for first timer laser hair removal. Cynthia, Nicole and the rest of the staff are just awesome! If is wasn't for their humor I would have been so nervous. I am so glad that Groupon had a great offer, and that it was for ABEO for my first experience. Nicole used a lot of gel which makes the laser so much easier to take (thank you for that Nicole). She brought me to the waiting area to fill out a lot of paperwork, which thrilled me! I knew that they were careful and concerned about the customer getting the right treatment. I had a chemical peel six hours ago and it feels great. I'm thinking about going back for the photo facial, I need to check in with my dermatologist. They definitely push you to purchase more if you're not fully satisfied instead of admitting they didn't deliver results that you thought you'd get. I have been to a few places over the years for laser hair removal with mixed experiences and results. When ABEO appeared in a Groupon offer, the price and convenience were too good to pass up, so I bought one. ABEO is located in the Hingham Shipyard. It is a stunning location, and the spa itself is clean and tranquil. The staff could not be friendlier or more professional. They really know their stuff, and I was told by one of the technicians that the owners make sure to regularly update the equipment. I had no idea other places wouldn't do that, but it certainly explains the results I got. I had my lower legs done, and it was completely painless. My treatments actually felt like a massage, which those who have had laser hair removal will find crazy. It's usually very painful, but the machines that ABEO use are designed to create a pain-free experience. It has been a couple of months since my final appointment, and the results are incredible. I honestly don't remember the last time I shaved my legs. I highly recommend ABEO Med Spa. They offer other services besides laser hair removal which I'm sure are just as fantastic. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Abeo MedSpa after my first visit there a few weeks ago. I purchased their Groupon for 15U Botox/$195 + free facial and called to schedule. Spoke with Kevin, who was very accommodating and explained that there would be two appointments a few days apart, so we scheduled the facial for a Monday and the Botox for Thursday of the following week. Kevin called on Saturday to confirm the facial appointment. I arrived for that and was greeted by Sarah, who is also the technician. She explained all the paperwork and offered me two different types of facials. I told her I am generally not a big fan of facials; I don't see any lasting effects and I don't enjoy lying there but as it was part of the Groupon, I would do whichever she recommended. The one we chose involved some products being applied and then a very gentle suction treatment to improve blood flow. It was quick, only about 30 min, so I didn't mind it. The products smelled great and my skin did feel very fresh and energized as I drove home, but it's not something I feel I'd do again or regularly. I went back on Thursday, was greeted/checked in by Sarah, and saw Joanne RN for my Botox. She explained where she would place the injections and what/when to expect (I have had it before, but not at Abeo; her explanation was consistent with my past experience) results. 15U = 5 injections; she did them very quickly and I was out in my car in less than 15 minutes after checking in. The results are excellent; saw marked improvement within 24h and now it's eight days later and the area (between my eyebrows) is smooth and free of frown lines.
