Excellent results. Professional care giver. I started going to Nancy for laser treatments this year. I have a long history of laser needs and have has so-so results in the past. Since going to Nancy at New Image, I have had EXCELLENT results. I could not be happier. Her prices are very reasonable (as opposed to others such as HLC Med spa which robs you!). Her office is very clean. She has a very small waiting area but it also is always clean and tidy. Nancy is very professional, and lets you know all the risks and benefits of laser from the minute you meet her. A previous reviewer described her as rude - I disagree completely. I was nervous because after my 2nd treatment I didn't see much difference and thought it wouldn't clear up my finer hairs, but after yesterday they're almost all gone! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Nancy and New Image. Her prices are very, very reasonable and she's a really nice woman and business owner. She actually had me laughing this afternoon while she was performing the laser treatment. I had my ~first~ appointment four weeks ago and the hair hasn't come back! Today was my second treatment and I have complete faith that my hair will be gone forever within my next four visits. I also bought another package today and I'm quite happy. I have no idea what Lana C is talking about. Her review is laughable at best. Nancy has always answered my calls or called my back right away. Lana stated that the building is creepy and the parking lot is sketchy. She also said there are endless hallways of a murder movie... Ok.. first of all the building is in downtown Reading... how scary can that be? (There's a CVS in the parking lot.) Again, this is downtown Reading not the ghetto. Also, there's an elevator on the first floor and it brings you directly upstairs to New Image. Yes, the waiting area is small, but that doesn't concern me at all. Nancy does a fantastic job. I've had laser hair removal at another place but never achieved reduced hair growth. With Nancy the results are exceptional and I've been hair free for 10 years. If you have dark body hair that you want gone I'd strongly recommend her. read more

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!! Reconsider! This is clearly a woman who purchased a laser and a small office space and is operating as if she is a legitimate company. She does not answer or return calls for appointments. I called every daily and no one answered or got back to me on my countless messages. The woman is over-selling vouchers on Groupon and can't even schedule appointments. One day there was miraculously an answer from a RUDE woman who said there were no appointments available for at least a month or so. When you finally get in, she is not nearly as thorough as other laser hair removal locations in the area. I have been a client at many other establishments for laser hair removal and decided to give this a try because there was a Groupon deal. It's not worth your money because you won't get an appointment anyway. It took me months. Laser hair removal is a time sensitive procedure where you should go back every certain amount of weeks. This place makes it impossible to do so. What a complete nightmare! Waste of my energy and efforts. Seriously don't do it! read more

Nancy does an amazing job -- I can't recommend this place enough. It's just her and her awesome laser equipment, which she upgrades regularly and seems very knowledgeable about. She is very anal/thorough -- which is exactly what you want for laser! I had legs and armpits done by her and have seen great results. I bought a Groupon for a facial peel and a Pelleve treatment. I've waited a month after my experience to write about it, because with the Pelleve treatment (skin tightening through thermage, which boosts collagen production) results continue to happen for up to six months. I had the Pelleve done on my upper lip, and I counted the vertical lines so I would be able to tell whether the treatment had been effective (pictures were also taken onsite). One month later, I'm down from five lines to three and ready to book another appointment--in other words, it works. I felt extremely comfortable with Nancy, the technician at New Image--in every sense. She is knowledgeable about the procedure, easy to talk to, and the process itself was pain free. This is a noninvasive procedure done by a skilled technician and I highly recommend it. read more

I had been waxing for years and was new to electrolysis. I went to Nancy based on a recommendation from my esthetician. Not knowing what to expect, given Nancy's years of experience in the business, I thought that I could trust her to guide me through this process. After ~10 months of weekly, treatments and $1700 later, the hair was still coming in, as thick as ever. I repeatedly asked Nancy why it was taking so long and when the hair was going to slow down. She just kept saying she hoped it would slow down as much as I did. Not quite the answer I was looking for. At one point, I was unable to get an appointment with Nancy, so I went some place else. After three appointments with this new place, I saw more results than I had in ~10 months with Nancy. After my second appointment (with this new place), I called Nancy to explain how quickly I was getting results with the new electrologist and tried to see if she would be willing to give me some money back. She offered more services, which made very little sense to me. I explained I didn't want to come back given the lack of results and the excellent results I was getting with the new place. She said to call her back on Friday and I did to no avail. From that point forwarded, she avoided all of my calls and never got back to me. One other thing I want to make sure to mention here, is the new electrologist pointed out some scaring I had on my eyebrows from Nancy's methodology. Her professional opinion was the scaring was permanent and from electrolysis. The only electrolysis I had received was from Nancy. While I would agree with one of the other reviewers that Nancy's prices are reasonable, it isn't worth it given the lack of results. In the end, I feel very taken advantage of by Nancy as if she saw the results weren't there, she should have recommended other options to me. I think her equipment is poor and frankly, she is not skilled in her craft. I really tried to give Nancy and opportunity to make good on her work and didn't want to resort to writing a negative review. In the end, she left me no choice which is extremely disappointing after all the time and money I invested in a service, which I got zero results from. Obviously, I would not recommend Nancy's services. I had a completely negative experience, wasted a lot of money, have scaring on my eyebrows and basically had to start over as if Nancy never treated me. ~10 months of weekly appointments and $1700 later. I have been here twice after using a Groupon, for underarm laser. I was very pleased. The tech is very efficient and the results were better than expected. Time will tell how many visits it will take to kill the hair forever but as far as the service goes, it was very good. read more

This place is horrible do not waste your money! I have a lot of experience with laser hair removal and saw the groupon for new image a few months ago and decided to buy the small package. let me start off by saying the location is in the CREEPIEST building with a sketchy parking lot. once you go through endless hallways of a murder movie you get to the small room. As I got there another patient was leaving and the technician/ owner didn't even look at me but waved me in. She didnt give a greeting or even a smile but handed me a ton of papers to fill out. Ive done plenty of these before but these were SO extensive I couldnt believe it- it was actually scaring me a bit because it felt like i was just about to go into surgery or something. I decided it might be a good thing that the forms were so detailed so i gave a positive outlook. After the paperwork was done the owner went over all of them with me again explaining the process etc. she asked where i had gotten laser before and when I told her she just rolled her eyes. She told me she decided that I was too tan to get the procedure done that day which shocked me because I am about as white as they come and I have jet black hair. I have had laser with the same machine when i was even darker. She told me to make an appointment for a few months later and that she would put me in her "too tan pile"- which means she probably just uses that as an excuse for everybody. As we were discussing when to come in for the procedure she told me to come back a little while after "with the 600 hundred other groupon buyers". She looked very worn out from all the people coming in with groupons but seriously that is the company's own fault not mine. I should be treated like any other customer coming into your business. After leaving sorely dissappointed I waited 2 months as instructed then tried to make another appointment. I called every single day and no one answered the phone. It got to a point where I was calling every hour and still couldnt get through. I left messages that weren't returned and still to this day haven't been able to make an appointment. I'm about willing to forfeit the money i spent on that groupon just because I never want to step foot in there again and the owner is so rude. Waste of time and money. read more

Similar to Lana, I have called and called but gotten no answer or a call back. I initially got a groupon and went to the first three sessions, and then, since I needed another three sessions to completely get rid of the hair, I was given the groupon rate again (good), charged for all three of the next sessions, and only got one session (bad). Now I still have two sessions that I have paid for and they will not respond. Very unprofessional, and not the way to get good customers to keep returning. This is probably why they keep doing Groupons - to get a steady stream of new people. Not recommended. Boo. BOO. Wish I could do zero stars. read more
