Both Karl Jr and Sr. and Janine the office manager are professional, friendly and offer fair…read moreprices. All of them are able to chat with you about any mechanical problem you might have and if Karl isn't sure of the problem he'll go test drive it with you. When I first came in looking for an estimate on a costly repair another shop had told me I needed, they said the rack didn't need replacing and the slight shimmy in the front end was a brake rotor wear problem. They didn't even charge me for the trouble-shooting. Been a customer ever since. They're not going to try to upsell you and tack-on battery, wipers, fancy flushes or repairs you don't need. If they have time and you're a regular customer and stop in with a flat or other quick problem to solve they usually can accommodate you or provide you with a timely date they can get to it. Or they'll tell you the repair could wait another month or two and then bring it in. Like most service places you need to call ahead and expect to wait a week or so for an appointment that may take the better part of the day to repair. You will probaby need to leave your car there for the day but if it's something quick you can wait for it. It's nice to have a shop where you feel like you're a neighbor and can chat with them about your car concerns.

A mechanic/shop you can actually trust. This is the only place I would bring my cars to period…read more They're friendly and beyond accommodating and most importantly, they do outstanding work. Honestly, if you bring your cars to anywhere else, you'll get exactly what you deserve the usual mechanic run around. There's no up selling, or by the way you need this, or things you deal with at other auto shops, plain and simple Karls is the place to go.

I brought my wife's 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit in for new brakes and rotors. A few weeks…read morelater, my wife noticed the brakes were making a squealing noise during turns so I brought the vehicle back to have it inspected. I was charged $100 just for them to look into the issue. What was most concerning was learning that when the brakes and rotors were replaced a few weeks earlier, the shop chose to install lower-quality aftermarket parts rather than OEM parts. The original components on the vehicle were OEM, but instead of giving us the option to choose, the service advisor of Indian descent told me they used cheaper parts because OEM parts were "too expensive" and would make them less competitive. That decision was made without our knowledge or approval. When it comes to critical safety components like brakes, customers should always be given the option and informed about the quality of parts being installed. Choosing lower-quality parts to save money--without discussing it with the customer--raises serious concerns about quality, safety, and reliability. At the very least, we should have been given the option to replace the parts with OEM components or informed beforehand about what was being installed. Instead of rectifying their original mistake they shifted focus to other parts (pins) that still didn't address the issue at hand. Hence, I would not recommend if you're looking for honesty, quality, safety, and RELIABILITY.

I HAD NO IDEA HOW MUCH THAT OTHER PLACE HAD BEEN OVER CHARGING ME!! Until, I discovered this wonderful, & trustworthy business!! These people are straight forward, & charge such reasonably rates, that I've questioned them, to make sure they did everything I wanted. Have no doubt! They've done the work on my 17 year old baby's car! They've fixed things, I thought were new... but, saw w/ my own eyes, the dealer had not done what they said!! The first time I called them, I had asked this cute little auto parts store, on Wilson, a few blocks away, where to take my Daughters car. They gave me Batavia Avenue Mobil's phone number. They went & picked up my Daughter's car, right away! Then, they called me, just an hour later, w/ the diagnosis, & price. I talked w/ them about different options. I, always do the best, most safe thing, for my Daughter (still my baby!). So, I braced myself, for the $1500.-$3000. I was used to paying, the dealer! Especially when he warned me, it would be expensive! So, he says: $300. I kid you not!! He got everything fixed perfectly, in no time!! I can't tell you, how relieved, & happy I am, to have discovered this sweet, little Bedford Falls-esk ("It's A Wonderful Life") Auto repair/gas station! I, considered not leaving this review, so, I could keep this little gold mine, my little secret. lol! But, these folks deserve lots of good business! They are just an honest to goodness little gem! Their name is either "Batavia Avenue Mobil", or "Citco" Which is how it's listed on Yelp. Whatever name, the address is the same: 27 N Batavia Ave, Batavia IL 60510. 1-(630)-879-0999.
