The ABC Store has everything. Everything you might need. Chocolate covered Macadamia nuts, got it. New flip flops, got em'. Toothbrush, there it is. The ABC Store has everything, except baby formula. The one thing that I really, really needed on our trip. I hate the lines here and the workers are so un personable. They clock in and clock out. I actually made one guy laugh when I saw a sunscreen that was SPF 100. I said "This must make you invisible or something." He smirked at my lame joke at least. I found everything I neeed at the ABC store and more, so that makes me a fan. On the first day I needed sunscreen, I came back pretty much every day and bought: *Several (10) bottles of Island Girl Nail Polish in the bestest most summery and neon colors I could find. My nails look hawt. *Kona Coffee, I knew I had to stock up so I purchased about 5 pounds of it. *Malibu Rum, it's not that much more than the average grocery store. *Hawaiian Sun Drinks, love those and they carry the variety *Insulated Glasses, so we could sip our drinks poolside without having the ice melt fast or spend a ton on mixed drinks. I came back so often I made use of the gold card and scored a free ceramic mug with hula girls on it. So I can enjoy my kona coffee in cute little mug! read more

One of three ABC Stores associated with the International Marketplace, this one is just two doors East of the main gate. Open until 1:00 am. When you go to an ABC store, you get an ABC Gold Card, which is a wallet reminder that you can have a free mug if you spend $100. Of course, you save your receipts all week. Higher amounts get better gifts. My Lady wanted to play in the waves on the Windward Side, so we picked up a ring float and a hand pump here. Unfortunately, the wind was up, and so was the surf. Watching waves crash into the cliffs at Hanauma Bay, Sandy Beach, and Kaloko Beach convinced us this wasn't play in the waves kind of weather. The Blowhole was going full blast, though. The store clerks were happy to take back the unopened floaty toy and pump, and to give us a full refund. read more

This is largest ABC store I've been in. They have a fairly decent selection of prepared sandwiches in addition to the souvenirs and sand mats. Prices are a bit high and they didn't have the petroleum jelly we were looking for so we went down the street to Coco Cove and found that and more at better prices. Our shuttle driver said that there are 56 ABC stores just in Waikiki. That sounds about right as they seem to be on every corner. read more

We go to ABC store every time we come to Hawaii. They are everywhere, and great place to pick up things to make your visit convenient. If you have kids, pickup tubes and boogie board on your first day, it's cheaper than renting, and kids will have tons of fun. If it's unavailable, check another ABC store. Also a great place to pickup food, drinks and snack. Even if you plan to eat at fancier restaurants, you can still pick up some snack and drinks to munch on while at the beach. Lastly, you can also pickup some souvenir such as shirts, hats, key chains; etc. Don't forget to save receipt for free gift. What kept me coming back was the price, value and selection of the items they had available. They are fully stocked and everything including food is fresh. I purchased a few toiletries and sunblock during my trip as well as local beers that were reasonably priced. This one is a block from my hotel and I stopped by for some cut up pineapple on my first day of vacation and then soda on my subsequent visits as it was along the way during my daily outings. Best pineapple juice I've ever tasted in my life. Pineapple juice from ABC Stores is a MUST when I'm in Hawaii!) 2) Mauna Loa Sweet Onion & Garlic Macadamia Nuts Yeah yeah, you know da kine... the ones in the can or bag with the teal blue color, white/yellow/black writing and pics of macadamia nuts. These are my JOINTS! Super good. It's hard to get this flavor on the mainland. Oh but BTW it's cheaper to buy em at Daiei. 3) Hawaiian Shortbread cookies I forgot the brand, but you won't miss em. They're in a paper box that looks like it might have teabags inside. I made my rounds and visited several ABC stores while in Hawaii. Mostly I was trying to get my free bag for spending $100. (Ok, the free bag was just a perk - it wasn't that hard to spend $100). I bought macadamia nuts (tons of flavors and some chocolate covered ones), sodas, liquor (to help wash down the sodas), and even some jewelry. I found a couple awesome wrap-around bracelets at this store. (They wrap around your wrist and are so pretty). Bought a couple for myself and some as gifts. Service was okay at check-out. Employees tried to scam me and didn't think I'd notice. I Wanted to buy some souvenirs from vacation. I picked up a shot glass and some other things. When I got to the register, the cashier couldn't scan the glass so she asked someone to get another one. I offered to go grab one myself since the person was taking quite a while but she told me no. The person grabbed a completely different item and I was charged almost 5x the actual price of the original item. I went to get a refund after I noticed the flaw. read more

After posting my 2 star review for ABC, I received a reply from the store manager stating that she wanted to rectify the situation by reimbursing me for the calendars and sending me a gift. Not only did she send me a full reimbursement check along with a beautiful beach towel, she sent me pictures of how ABC implemented new display cases and signs to make sure that there was no confusion about the prices of their calendars. You can get pretty much anything the ABC stores, the best part is THERE EVERYWHERE!!!! i can walk 5 steps, turn my head and BOOM ABC store. I can be lost, in the middle of nowhere and BOOM ABC store. This store is everywhere!!! This store in Hawaii are as common as the prostitutes on kuhio, multiple stores can be on the same block lol. Anyways its kind of like a mini grocery store. A quick place to buy a small snack/drinks. I usually come here for alcohol if I dont feel like driving to bigger stores because there is almost always one near you that is walking distance. There's an ABC store on just about every corner here in Waikiki, but not all ABC stores are created equal some are smaller stores stocking vacation essentials and others are huge and devoted to all things touristy. This ABC is one of the larger ones next to the Intl. Market Place, and since it is across the street from our hotel is super convenient. Forgot your sunblock? Pick up a bottle here. Feeling thirsty, peckish? Grab a bottle of water and some sliced pineapple. Yes, this store is geared towards tourists and you do pay a premium for the convenience of having a nearby store to stock up on vacation essentials, but it's worth it if it means you get to spend more time enjoying your vacation and less time shopping around for the best deal in town on sunblock, snacks, and souvenirs. read more

there are like 10 ABC stores on the streets of Hawaii, and each one I've stopped at had friendly people, tons of tourist-y stuff (perfect place to gifts for the folks back home), and the best part about it is that if u forgot something, you can walk 3 minutes down the street, and there they are. they are the starbucks of HI, but way cooler, cheaper, and you can get fresh fruit juices and not burnt coffee. they have kukui nut necklaces, leis, shell necklaces, tons of postcards, snacks, juices, and tons more. again, this is the PERFECT place for a tourist. not too expensive, and they have things that are quintessential hawaii. i think i've been to 10 of them since i'v'e been here, and i approve! read more

I love ABC stores. In Waikiki, you will find one every 10 feet. There is a gazillion of them. I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't go in all of them, but I betcha I went in 97% of them. They are just perfect in this tourist area. Convenience shopping like a 7-11. Prices like them as well. This is expected. But they have a much larger selection of ice cold drinks and a good selection of bento types of foods. Then to top it off, souvenir city, baby! Admit it, you bought not just something from here. It's like a convenience store combined with a souvenir shop plus a bunch more stuff. We went to the ABC store countless times getting souvenirs to take home for friends & family.
