Jonathan helped outline all the items that were available to fit our needs. He helped us work through pricing and an install plan. The pricing was reasonable and they were very quick to get the work done. Outstanding! Roman helped lead the team doing the work. He was punctual. Showed up on time. Got the work done. A close trusted friend had recommended them. So even though the reviews didn't look great on Yelp, they looked very good on Google. So we decided to take a chance and couldn't be happier. We called for an electrician. My bathroom light was causing some lights to blink. The first technician who came wanted to sell us a new box with a price tag of $3,000. Then another one came and said we needed new light bulbs in the bathroom. I told him that the fan part had fallen down and he should check it. Did he...no, instead charged us $300 for light bulbs. I scheduled a $49.99 ultimate air conditioning tune up and all I got was a inspection of my furnace and gauges hooked up to my Air conditioner. I pointed out the water hose and he acknowledged ok. I later I went out to put the sprayer on the hose and he told me it didn't have to be cleaned. After he left I inspected the unit and the fins are blocked and need to be cleaned. The supervisor came out, gave us a quote for an unusually high price, and then the repair guy never showed up, even after multiple calls and texts. I had to go back to work by a certain time, so I canceled the job. However, we were stuck with a $400 deposit on our credit card. They promised to reimburse most of it (except for a charge for the service call) but didn't follow up. Total rip-off. The Technician Shane was scheduled to check with camera to our external sewer pipe connected to the city. Somehow after speaking with Shane and confirming the appointment and he was on his way to my home the appointment got canceled. I absolutely did not canceled the appointment. I called customer service and spoke with Connor. He was professional. He handled my problem because I was very upset. He dug deep and was willing to listen to the call and got the job done. He was just at our home almost two weeks ago for the initial replacement of three new gas valves throughout the house. I scheduled an appointment to fix a plumbing leak. The first available service day was a Sunday, and I was informed that the work day was from 10 am to 5 pm. At 1 pm, I called to check the status of my appointment. I was told that I was the next on the list and would be called within 30 to 45 minutes before the technician arrived. However, when I called again at 2:30 pm, I was informed by Juan that I was still the next one and that they couldn't provide any further information or contact the technician for an estimated time of arrival. Unfortunately, there were no supervisors available to assist me and I'd have to wait until Monday to raise my concerns. ABC did not arrive for the appointment nor did they call to say they would not be coming. It is reasonable to think ABC would have called to apologize for the inconvenience and ask if I'd like to reschedule. None of that happened. read more

I was told the soonest they could come was after 10am sunday morning which I was ok with since really cold weather wasnt coming until sunday night. Sat around most of the day waiting and almost 2pm I received a text message stating I have an appointment on Monday. I called and after being put on hold for several minutes was told they couldn't get to me sunday as promised because of a lack of technicians working. There is no way they did not know who they had working the evening before or even 1st thing in the morning. If I could leave this company a 0 star review I would. My husband and I used ABC for a new AC unit. When our electric outlet in our basement went out, we contacted them to come and assess. Their assessment was that we needed an entirely new electrical panel because there was condensation that built up in the area of the panel. They quoted $8,700 for the panel. I thought that was high so I went to google that quoted the most the panel would cost would be $4, 500. I didn't stop there and called several companies and other trusted electricians at my job. They found the $8,700 quote laughable. ABC's website says they will give you an honest and trusted quote. Now, that's even more laughable. I will NEVER contact them again. They cannot be trusted. I employed another company who came out and made their assessment. There was a GCFI switch that we didn't realize existed. This electrician pushed the button and everything started working. That switch was tripped. ABC didn't even look for this switch or realize it existed. NEVER CALL THEM FOR A TRUSTED QUOTE. We paid $100 to this electrician instead of $8,700 to ABC. read more

My main valve in my home was leaking. I called ABC Plumbing in a panic and they sent an inspector/adjuster out right away. He quoted me 1400 to replace the main valve and said it was out of code. He also wanted to do the valve and water heater but thanfully I rejected those. He further explained a team could come out next day. Since I figured this was an emergency issued I said yes , booked the service and paid $700 upfront. Edgar advised I could call to cancel however they would refund me my half minus a $59 fee to which I agreed. I am now 2 weeks and 5 phone calls in with no refund in sight. I had an extremely frustrating experience with ABC. When the technician came out for our furnace, he tried to scare us by saying prices would skyrocket on January 1st, pressuring us to act fast. He gave an "estimate" that was much lower than what the sales rep quoted just a few hours later. When the sales rep arrived, the price for a furnace jumped to a shocking $10k, far above what was initially discussed. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic. I was made to feel like I had no choice but to pay the inflated price due to the supposed price increase. This was completely unethical, and I won't be using their services ever again. They have implemented an AI answering service and customer contact system. I had two days of no call- no shows after receiving email and text confirmations. Each day I received both a text and email with a photo and notice that the tech was on the way. Two days of no shows. Multiple calls, excessive holds (+ 20 minutes) and no answers or explanations. I think the text notices announcing the tech may have been AI generated- last minute switches. I am a member of "the club". What is the benefit of a monthly subscription. On Dec 16 secured the services of ABC Plumbing (220 Campus Dr., Arlington Heights, IL) regarding a small leak from the pressure relief valve on my water heater. My husband was in Florida , so I called for service and worked with the technician. I was told by the technician that the presure relief valve needed to be replaced. He did not have the part in his truck - but drove to the local hardware store to purchase the valve. He replaced the small relief valve (which took less than one hour - much of which was spent in him trying to sell me a maintenance contract). The bill came to $796.50 but being totally unaware of the costs associated for such work, I paid the amount due in full. I received an email copy of the bill which did not indicate any details - only the cost of $796.50. The next day I spoke with several neighbors about this charge and was told that they had paid around $200 for the same repair. I also got quotes from plumbing competitors which also quoted similar repair charges. Frustrated I went to the local hardware store (where the technician purchased the valve) and saw that this hardware store charges $20 for the valve. I called ABC Plumbing and spoke with their customer experience rep, he told me he would investigate. I was told that ABC pricing is by the "job" - not the hour. (I should have asked for the hour pricing, since I was actually charged $776.50 per hour. The best the customer experience rep could do was to offer me a $50 credit and a $50 coupon to be used for future ABC work. (ARE YOU KIDDING ME) In review I could have purchased a totally new hot water heater for the price I paid for this simple repair. (I watched the technician replace the valve -- easily done) This company is a SCAM and totally overpriced the job that was done. They take advantage of customers with outlandish pricing. ABC advertises on TV like crazy and now I understand why they can afford to pay for these ads.....they rip off unassuming customers with overpricing and price gouging. Very disappointed with the service by ABC Plumbing. They were not professional and quoted me of price of over $10,000 to repair a valve under the sink in the kitchen. The code enforcer required it to be replaced. By the time Shane looked around the house, he found many so-called problems, including a carbon monoxide leak. The Fire department was called, and the whole house was inspected. O leaks and no code violations. I wanted to report this to someone of authority, but the only person I was able to speak with was Rob, no last name from customer experience. Nothing was resolved, he continually doulbed-talk me. Today I learned that the installers did not calibrate the furnaces and as a result I kept seeing System Fault 126-High Heat Cycle Active and error code 33 on the furnace. I had to call 3 times but finally got a Technician that did some troubleshooting and resolved the issue. Again this would not have been an issue if the Installers from ABC actually did their job. ABC has 1 good technician who know how to troubleshoot and I will be requesting him by name if I have issue in the future. Save yourself the headache and find someone else to install/maintain your HVAC system. I do however recommend the Carrier Infinity Series. I am very happy with its cooling and and heat pump. I will let you know how well the gas heating works when the temps are below 30. read more
