The lady that answered the phone wouldnt let me talk to a specialist, she just kept asking me if I wanted someone to come and treat the house! Its very complex whats going on at my brothers house. He has infestations of earwigs, several species of aunts, one of which is a colonization of imported red fire ants. I believe its all stemming from the giant ponderosa pines lining his property that are sick. She said they only exterminate inside the house. They dont do trees, Id have to get a landscaper! I told her that I had a forestry specialist coming to advise about the trees and that I was calling Orkin to address the infestations of the various species of ants, earwigs and several small dead snakes ive found on sidewalks in past couple days. that the insects were a result of the sick trees and I needed to talk to a pest specialist about the infestations. she said they dont do trees, that she could send someone out to treat the house!! Grrrr! I told her I needed to speak to a specialist that could understand what im dealing with and she said she could send one out to treat house! I told her that by just trying to sales pitch me and not letting me talk to someone that knows what they are talking about lost a possible good steady customer! Then I hung up. my brother has had a steady exterminator coming in here for years and the guy did not do anything for all these infestations! Never even mentioned any of these issues or noticed or remedied even the earwigs that are all through his house! Im not about to bring another exterminator in for just more of the same! which is just taking my brothers money and doing absolutely nothing!

I am moving into a house that has not had any pest control in over 2 years, so we needed to set up…read morean account and have a tech come out to go over everything with us. I have used orkin (through my landlord) at my previous house and was very happy with the results, which is why I wanted them for our new home. After scheduling the initial visit, a tech showed up after it had just begun raining and said he would need to come back to do the job right (rain will wash away outside treatment). This was understandable but I wished he or the office would've let me know that rain affects this so we could have chosen a different day from the start (or rescheduled first thing that morning). We rescheduled for the next business day and he never showed up. No call, no text/email, and I even called the office who contacted him, to no avail. Felicia in the office was apologetic, kind, and helped us close our barely opened account after I called a second time. After calling Terminix and GoForth, Orkin is the best value for the money (not to mention no 12-month contract) but I do not advise this company if you do not have a flexible work schedule. I had to rearrange 2 of my work days for this with no results. I gave 3 stars because the service is very good if it is compatible with your schedule. If I worked from home (which many do now due to COVID) or made my own hours at work, I would probably be a customer.

She pounded the door so hard that I thought it was the noise from the construction workers next door, hammering! The pounding was so loud that it scared one of my daughters! She ran to me in fear! It scared me too! I thought someone was trying to break the door down! It was a constant banging, without letting up! I went to the door and saw our Orkin Technician there. I told her I wasn't expecting her. She said that she didn't have the right number to call. I called Orkin and told them I don't ever want her to come to my house again! Under no conditions are you to ever treat a customer in such a manner! I am the customer! When I called Orkin to complain, the Manager was very dismissive with me. When I explained what had happened, he just said, "Umm hummm... I will let them know". He didn't apologize, or acknowledge that was wrong, or anything. And they never did get rid of the ants.
