This is a fantastic business. My Tundra had the catalytic converter stolen while at a Vallejo repair business. They said it was my responsibility to replace the cat and basically blew me off. New cats to fit the Tundra were on backorder from Toyota Vallejo and after 3 months I was still waiting. I discovered that after-market cats were also on backorder. Luckily for me, a friend recommended Steven at ABC Muffler. Steven was able to to help with the insurance company and more importantly, he repaired my truck. Steven was very creative and helpful in finding essential parts for my Tundra. He did this in an expedient and cost-effective manner. I was quickly provided a drivable truck thru Steven's efforts. My thanks to Steven and his helpful co-worker Gabriel. P.S. Vallejo Toyota: you can keep your cat! read more

They made me cry. My car was in ICU on ventilators. Lew's Brake Shop recommended i take my beater there. I'm so glad I did. Turns out the previous muffler shop in Fairfield had installed truck mufflers. When I died her up I was transported back in time. Everything was in slow motion. I couldn't believe my ears. My car was transformed from turd to a super hero. I cried tears of joy all the way home. My wife asked me What's wrong with you? From a turd to a fire breathing dragon that breaths actual smoke and fire. Total transformation. read more

This shop is great! Steve and his crew put a hitch onto my Subaru quickly (as far as hitches go) for a good price. Everyone at the shop is very nice and went above and beyond to explain the process of what they were doing. I had a good time sitting on the comfy couch with my phone in the happy relaxed atmosphere of the shop. read more

Great shop, I had a catalytic converter that had a crack in the pipe leading to the exhaust header, the Chevy dealer in Vallejo wanted over $2000 to replace it, Steve and his crew looked over my catalytic converter and determined it did not need to be replaced. They welded the crack and got me my car back the same day. Great service, great price, I would recommend them to anyone that needs work done to their exhaust system. read more

The owner Stephen is very professional, friendly & easy to talk with. I had him install a hitch to my 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid AWD Sport L. I also asked him if I need to install a catalytic converter shield on my vehicle. He looked under my SUV, & he said I don't need a cat shield on my SUV (saved me some cash)! The trailer hitch was installed promptly for a very reasonable price. read more

This is the place to go if you are interested in a catalytic converter cover to deter thieves from stealing your catalytic converter. I just had a 2nd vehicle done ( CRV and a Passport). I bought the cover online and Stephen installed it in less than a hour. I highly recommend this shop in Benicia. read more

I went here last year after some jerks stole my catalytic converter and ABC muffler fixed real quick for a reasonable price. But the cat was the difference maker. It cost only a few hundred dollars more but totally worth it. I woke up today to a failed attempt to hit my car and this shield totally stopped them in their tracks. read more

Took my car here after reading all the yelp reviews and recommendations on Facebook. Let me just say that their customer service was excellent. They spotted all the issues with my exhaust and their price was fair and reasonable. These guys know what they are doing and they do it right.. the first time. I would highly recommend them. Thank you Steve! read more

First off, VERY PLEASED with the service and quality of work by these guys. I very rarely write reviews because, lets be honest, above and beyond service is rare these days. I spoke with Stephen Cyrus. I needed to sling an aftermarket skid plate under my Tacoma which required the exhaust running BENEATH the transfer case to be rerouted AROUND rear, freeing up much more ground clearance and allow me to get my skid as close to the transfer case and possible. ABC MUFFLER knew exactly what needed to be done, sourced the needed parts on the spot, took the job on without an appointment, offered me food while I waited in the break room and talked shop with the rest of the staff while Stephen worked on the truck. Quality looks OE and fitment was better than expected. Local business, good people, awesome quality.... WIN WIN WIN read more

I came across ABC Muffler through the recommendation of our Honda dealership and a neighbor. I called and spoke to the owner Steve. With Catalytic Converter theft on the rise, I told him that I was looking at getting a Shield/cage for my newer CR-V. It turns out, I didn't need one at all. We had a great conversation; Steve was very knowledgeable, he mentioned that the CC theft was more common on the older Hondas. Nonetheless, he invited me to his shop so he can tell for sure if I needed it. I came by, Steve looked under the hood and under the car. He showed us where our CC was located and pointed out that it would be very difficult to get too. He didn't even charge me. I am relieved and really appreciated his expertise. Even though I didn't enlist his services at this time, I highly recommend his local business for Honesty and Integrity! Another place was already quoting $400 for something I didn't need. read more

Used to be so great, we have been doing business with them for over 10 years! Recently bought a challenger, guaranteed changes with work, not at all what we were looking for. Trusted them again. Made an appointment for 44's to be put in, they do a bigger muffler delete, which was not what I wanted. Then tell me they don't have 44's in stock and it would sound stock if we did 44's anyway. I have been around cars my entire life, please! I don't know what happened when Jeff left but Steve was rude, unprofessional, wouldn't return our calls. We actually had to go back to the office to get a response! I was offered no fix, no resolution. Customer service has left the building. Beyond disappointed. Steer clear. read more

Took my armada there to have JBA SHORTY headers installed due to a cracked OEM exhaust manifolds. Steve did a great job with the install and his welding skills are very clean. Stayed with estimated cost which is fair for the amount of work that is involved. It sounds so much better now, nice with a exhaust note louder than stock. No need for drone sound on a long road trip. If I ever have a need for some work done I have a place to go. Friendly and professional atmosphere. read more

These guys are awesome! Jeff and Stephen are honest, friendly, accommodating, informative and approachable. I called to have a trailer hitch put on my car (I supplied the part). They accommodated me same day and did the work in a very timely manner. Stephen explained everything he did and made sure I was happy with the work. These guys are top notch. If you need a hitch install or muffler work, call these guys. Good businesses are hard to find! Glad I found this one on Yelp! read more

Very reasonably priced! I thought they were going to charge an arm and a leg, but no! Steve was very knowledgeable and fast. Even though he has a bunch of cats lined up outside, he was able to service my car. Great work. Fast service. Friendly staff. read more

My catalytic converter was stolen on a Sunday night. Steve went to bat for me and found one in a couple of days. He made sure the car was safe overnight waiting for the part and had it done by the afternoon it arrived. He was friendly, easygoing and did the job quickly and competently. Not much else you can say beyond that except I highly recommend him! read more

Steve is very helpful. We walked in late in the afternoon just about time for them to close up. He still look what needed to be done on our car then right there he quoted us and tell us that bring it back the following day. Story short we got it done fast and cheap. Also the quality is superb. read more

Great muffler shop! I have had custom exhaust installed on my 02' GMC Yukon and my 02' Audi A4 Avant. Service was good, welds were clean, and prices were fair. I didnt want my Yukon loud and droning. Telling them this they totally had the right setup for me. I loved the exhaust note and still do till this day! I also had work done 10+ years ago to all my Mazda RX7's in the past. The customer service here is second to none. I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff through other work related business and soon realized that this place was a perfect fit for my 1978 Camaro (in desperate need of work). His team was exceptional and went above and beyond what I'd expected and discussed for needed repairs. In fact, I brought in another car for a muffler upgrade and wasn't disappointed. I'm a big supporter of small businesses who do honest and ethical work. I highly recommend this place. read more

I brought my car into ABC and the guy came out and looked at it - he knew exactly what the problem was within one minute of my popping the hood, he gave me a quote and about 3-4 hours later, he called me to tell me my car was ready - charged me exactly the price he quoted me and showed me the part, as he explained what he did to fix the issue. I am usually hesitant to take my car in without my husband, as I feel I am treated differently then when I go in by myself. These guys made me feel like a valued customer and did exactly as they said they were going to do. Highly recommend ABC MUFFLER & HITCH read more

The catalytic converter was stolen in Vallejo Thursday night. I Called Steve Friday morning... he said to bring it in. The car was towed to his shop at 1030, Steve said "you'll have your car back by the end of the day". Steve was so helpful, understanding and knew our sense of urgency. 10 stars!!! read more

These guys cannot bend 2 1/2" pipe for beans. . They tried really hard but ended up crunching up a bunch of pipe. They recently wired my Yukon for my trailer's electronic brakes. The price was not some great deal. Especially not a bargain as I'm having to bring it back because of workmanship issues. Update: Although there were numerous workmanship issues such as broken insulators on wire lugs, wires too short , faulty placement of the control unit (I could not open the ash tray), I decided not to have them fix these issues. It showed a lack of pride. I'm not rewarding sloppiness and lack of caring. read more

I've had him do everything from complete exhaust, brake controller install, trailer wiring, turbo and exhaust manifold work, you name it just ask. I ran over the concrete slab in a parking lot and damaged my 2 pipes under my vehicle. The dealer gave a quote I felt was too steep. I went to ABC for a 2nd opinion. The guy took one look under my vehicle and told me it was extensive, would be costly and it would take time to order the parts and get them back. He said he could do it if I wanted but recommended using the dealership instead because it could be repaired quicker. I WANT TO COMMEND HIM FOR HIS HONESTY , BUSINESS ETHIC AND CONCERN FOR MY NEEDS.
