I was panicking when last week's heavy storms turned my pea gravel driveway into a gully. I found AB Concrete here on Yelp and was impressed with the reviews. This afternoon, one week after the storms, my concrete is curing nicely (see photo). Tony, the proprietor is personable and honest. Tony's dad Ellis came out the same day I called and got measurements and I'd accepted the bid by nightfall. I had a cracked up old concrete floor next to my home, and when it was a heavy rain, water would get through it and get into my basement. I had a few quotes done, and Tony had a very reasonable price. He was able to come out the next day, and him and his dad and cousin knocked out the 6x12 foot slab no problem. AB Cement responded very quickly when I needed a repair to the mortar on my front brick steps which a Handyman had really messed up. Tony was very nice and assured me they could repair the damage. His Dad, Ellis and Estephan came out the next day and worked diligently to ensure the repairs were done to my satisfaction. It is very difficult to match old mortar, however they did a great job. Tough to write this because they seem like okay people. But unfortunately they did not pay Thomas concrete company that provided the cement for my patio. Thomas concrete has tried to correspond with this company multiple times with no action. We paid a b cement in full. Now Thomas concrete has taken a lien on our house because AB cement didn't pay their bills. The work was okay. They were very responsive. However all trust is lost at this point because they didn't pay their bills. I'm a changed his post in the future if AB Cement remit payment. Nevertheless it has been over 4 months now. Tony and Ellis Brown will hopefully make this right and the lien will be removed from my house! read more

I needed to get 3 sections installed through narrow areas down a hill in between rainstorms. I needed to get it done asap. Tony, Ellis and crew took care of it from start to finish in less than a week from the initial contact at a fair price. They were great at communication and their crews were helpful all the way through. The leftover cement was used on a planned turn around road to help raise the grade. I had an emergency - some bricks fell out of my chimney, leaving a gaping hole, and rats and a possum somehow made their way into my house through the hole. I was about to abandon my poor family and move to a hotel (kidding, sort of). These guys came over the same day, at 6pm, to brick the hole up. They did a great job (esp under the circumstances, last minute and without all the right materials) and were very professional, responsive, and honest. The job that AB concrete completed exceeded my expectations. Very well handled, from planning up through completion. I deal with lots of contractors and Tony and his dad were well above other similar contractors I have used or attempted to use. Tony almost always answers his phone and is very attentive to following up after wards. AB may have some good competition out there, but I have not yet me it. Pricing was fair for this very time sensitive job with lots of traffic issues we had to work around, but Tony did all he could to make it happen, for a job the evening before Thanksgiving. Prep was good, rebar laying was good and finished +800' sqft high strength concrete pad was good. Pricing was much better than a competitor who wanted a bit less for only doing about 250 sqft of patch cutting and repair. You will notice the phone # for Tony is a Texas #, be assured he plans it all remotely works with his dad (local) to make sure it happens. Found no issues with that, very responsive all around. One thing to note is the concrete truck requires payment quick, so contractors usually ask for prompt payment (even before the job completes). Paying before I had new concrete did not cause a problem, as the job completed as planned. Good job, AB read more
