I wish I could give a no stars rating. What a nightmare. I went to Sears Optical based on a…read morereferral from a friend. Set up an appoinment, went in, waited for quite a while past my appointment time, did the usual, got vision checked, picked out frames, etc. Then everything fell apart. First, I was told that it would be about 10 days for glasses to come in. It was over 3 weeks. When they finally came in I couldn't see out of them. The Dr. had totally messed up my prescription. Make another appt. for a re-check with different doctor. Go through the same stuff again, had to pick new frames because new prescription couldn't be put in original frames, etc. Ordered the new glasses (actually ordered 2 pair this time, one for distance/reading, the other for computer use), again told about 10 days for them to come in. Called them one month later, still not in. A couple days after that I get a call that they are in, drive up there (little over 1/2 hour from DeKalb to Rockford) only to find out that only 1 pair is in. Seems they can't find the frame I picked out for the other pair. Could've let me know both pairs weren't in. It was 6-1/2 weeks before both pairs were in. Go in to pick them up, totally different frame then what I picked out, they substituted without asking. Ok, so you'd think by now my ordeal is over, but there's more..... There was a very nice lady who worked there named Becky. She is the ONLY reason that I can give this place 1 star. Becky went out of her way to make up for the fiasco that Sears Optical was. She called me and said she felt bad that things had been so bad that she ordered me a pair of prescription sunglasses (at no charge). I thought it was really nice and above and beyond. Since she had been there when I picked up the last pair she noted my tastes as far as the frames go. So what goes wrong you ask, well.... I go back up to pick up the sunglasses when I get the call that they are in (3 weeks later) and yep, the frames are lovely, something I would have picked out myself, but the lenses are wrong. Wrong prescription. I ask to talk to Becky and guess what. No longer with them and not by her choice I find out). Are you kidding me!!!! The only person who seemed like they even cared that my 4 month long ordeal mattered they tanked! Oh, and they are going to "ship my glasses" once they get the right lenses put in (in about 5-7 days). BTW, it's been over a week, they're not here.

However, the person I spoke with on the phone was polite and professional. I called to confirm that my BCBSIL insurance benefits are accepted and was told that I could not use my insurance there. I looked on the website and it clearly states that it does accept BCBS. I called back and explained this and it was reiterated to me that they cannot bill BCBS because it is medical. This misinformation is enough for me to go elsewhere even if I am told that they do accept it.

Traffic was moving quickly in the left lane, while I had been waiting patiently in the right-hand lane for over 25 minutes as part of the traffic line. The driver of a company work truck (photo attached, license plate blurred for privacy) suddenly stopped in the left lane to cut into my lane, forcing their way into the line of traffic. When he cut in there was maybe four feet in between me and the car that I had been following for the last 25 minutes. I honked to alert them to stop, but instead of acknowledging the situation responsibly, the driver pulled fully in front of me, forcing me to brake to avoid a collision. After that, they made threatening hand gestures. First a fist-to-palm motion, followed by mimicking a gun pointed at me. I don't know if this person actually had a weapon, but in that moment, I wasn't sure, and it left me feeling threatened and unsafe. This is completely unprofessional, dangerous, and unacceptable behavior, especially from someone operating a vehicle with your company name displayed. I will most likely be reporting this incident to the authorities. ( I will sleep on it.) I expect an apology and action to ensure this does not happen again. Your drivers represent your business. This type of aggressive and threatening behavior reflects extremely poorly on your company and puts other drivers at risk.

This is different from your ordinary massage places. Here, they use Acupressure and Reflexology. That means they may use their elbows and sometimes even knees to dig deep. For the most part they don't take your clothes off and use a bunch of oils. They typically cover you with a sheet and use very little oils if any. For your feet they use oils and sometimes on your neck. Give it a try.

About a week ago I slipped a rib out of place while wearing a corset at a costume party. Beauty is dangerous and painful. I've been using a heating pad and lots of Advil for my rib pain drowning my sorrows in Miller Lite and Sons of Anarchy episodes on Netflix but I digress. I set out to do two things today return a coat to Eddie Bauer and get a kick ass massage. I did both and the massage was truly a mind blowing experience. My masseuse 5'4", 100 lbs soaking wet started out slow and I thought I'd have to ask for someone tougher. About 5 minutes after her warm up she mounted the table and I realized she had one foot planted on my right hip and the other foot on my left shoulder. I've had massages at Oriental Chi before but this woman was part Spider Man and Wonder Woman in one. After an hour of being elbowed along the spine, kneed in both of my thighs while she practically sat on me I was relaxed and totally pain free. I want to see this woman next week. I have no idea what her name is but WOW! My back feels fantastic, my rib pain is a distance memory and I can put my heating pad away. Oriental Chi is an awesome massage experience and you don't pay for fluff. You pay for 60 minutes of deep tissue massage for $56. My massage was so good I tipped the lady $24. She earned it.

I went into the store the prior Monday to confirm delivery; I was told yes it would be there on 11/19/20. I informed the store associates that I would be picking it up on Friday, 11/20/20 at approximately 6pm and they said that would be fine. Friday morning I stopped in to confirm pick up but was told the freezer never came in. I explained to them that my son in law had taken the night off of work and rented a truck. The associates, who were very nice said that they would have the store manager Brandon call me when he got in that afternoon. I waited all afternoon and night for his call but received nothing. Saturday morning, 11/21/20 I stopped in the store the talk to the manager and was told he would be in at 12:30pm. The store associate gave me a few corporate numbers to call at my request. Low and behold no one associated with those numbers could help me. They kept insisting on forwarding my call to the store. I went back into the store at 12:15 to cancel my order. The associate was very understanding and apologized for the inconvenience and the hassle I had. At that time the manager, Brandon walked in. I explained to him who I was and asked why he didn't call me last night. His response was he was busy on the phone with another customer all day. Really??? I explained to him that I was out a lot of money and it would have been nice if he would have communicated with me. I try to keep my money local but in this case I will never shop at this store again. Brandon was not effected by my response. I informed him that as a manager, he needed more training on how to run a store and deal with customers. Again, he really didn't care.
