Some folks are disputing this but think about it, do you want the pilot of your plane on your trans-Pacific flight with 100 hours of flight experience?? Or do you want the person with 10,000 hours?? Speaking of pilots, the pilot light in my gas fireplace kept going out and it kept going out when outside temperatures went below 25F. That's right, it went out when you needed it most. So after firing up the pilot light manually for seemingly over two Winters, I said to myself, this is insanity. So I used Yelp to conduct a comparative analysis and called four fireplace companies. Here were the outcomes of those calls: - one company does not fix gas fireplaces. - the second company made me leave a message and it took the guy like 3 days to call back and he had an attitude like he was disgruntled from the get-go (meaning from the onset). - the third company wanted to charge a service call for diagnosing the problem and couldn't comment on the overall costs. - the fourth company was Hearth & Home and Pat (who turned out to be the owner) was a straight shooter (meaning forthcoming with details). Pat asked the year, make, model, serial number of my gas fireplace. He listened to me about my fireplace's symptoms and gave me a likely diagnosis and projected costs of the part and service. I had a very good feeling about his Integrity and thought the cost was reasonable. The appointment was booked and weeks later, Mike came as scheduled. Mike has 10 years experience and although he huffed and puffed here and there while fixing it, I had no doubt that with his expertise (10,000 hours) we would be up and running in no time. And that's what happened, my fireplace got fixed, within budget and right in time for me to make it to the Yelpies event last week!! Thank you Pat, Mike and H&H for this professional experience. Otherwise I would have missed that great event by Kesha and Celeste!!

    After years of dealing with the frustration of a Pit Boss Pro vertical smoker having horrible…read morecontroller issues (not only with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and a HORRIFIC app) but temperature swings of 20 to 30° range! The controller would know it was 20 or 30° off of desired temp and do NOTHING about it, even on calm windless days! I was at my wit's end! A quick Google search led me to Smoke Daddy. Their website claimed their PID controllers would do a retrofit and keep temperatures within 5°. I wouldn't believe it! I emailed the company and found out there was a military discount to appreciate that we were a veteran family. A phone call later and a very friendly and knowledgeable agent named Daniel gave us a great deal and answered every question regarding the controller for my Pit Boss retrofit. They only ship two-day FedEx and I had it in no time. As a retired mechanic, installation was easy enough by matching schematics with the retrofit controller and the OEM Pit Boss schematics. If you're not good with electrical, have someone who is help you do this. I followed the instructions on operation and ran some bacon through my smoker and it held temperature wonderfully! Not within 5° but within 2° or less! Unbelievable! Also did a burn-off cleaning that was long overdue and it held temperature at 400° within plus or minus 2° for over an hour. I can't believe how good this controller is and the customer service is also top-notch. I can only imagine their other products and service are just as good. Thank you Smoke Daddy for saving my sanity and bringing smoking meats back into an enjoyable hobby again for me!

They sent the correct shelf and a gift for my troubles. They are quick about shipping. It only took 8 days from the initial delivery, return and the receipt of the proper shelf and gift. Dan was my POC and he always replied to my messages quickly. I would rate their customer service as EXCELLENT!!!! The products are of great quality. Buy from Smoke Daddy with confidence. They do take care of their customers. I will not hesitate to look to them for future purchases...Terry

They have a broad selection of appliances and mattresses, everything from value deals to high-end, top-of-the-line items. I needed a new dryer and Mitchell and Scott both were super helpful in helping me find the perfect one for my needs without being pushy at all. Super nice staff that care. They also offer professional installation (and hauling away the old appliance) for $99 which I think is a good deal. Just plan for at least a week out for that. Will definitely be back for other appliance needs!

    Thus far, we have purchased a range hood, dishwasher, and refrigerator. (Refrigerator still on…read moreorder and in transit.) We had to have the hood installed on our own, but the dishwasher was installed by Guler's. The service tech was freaky fast with install, and gone before our window for install closed (9am-12pm and he was done by 10:30am, after arriving around 9:30am). This included haul away of our old dishwasher. I've worked with two sales people, Greg and Mitch. Mitch went above and beyond to get us this fridge and I couldn't be happier (oh wait, yes I can--once I get it lol). We have a 1959 kitchen that we opted to rehab versus reno and as a result are limited to what size fridge we can have. (We did do some tweaks to the cabinets with their recommended handy person, Dan O'berg--highly recommend!) I think what stands out the most about Guler's is knowing they service my purchases. They ONLY service purchase customers. NGL, that's nice and "old school" and I'm here for it! I will never do business anywhere else as it pertains to home appliances. Next up: slide in range. And then, knock on wood, wayyyy down the line, W/D. I think they sell those, but not positive.

    We purchased a "commercial washer" from this store 1/2/2023. When i arrived at the store I…read morerequested to Mr. Paulsen that I needed a commercial washer. The speed queen had been HIGHLY recommended by an employee. Mr. Paulsen sold me a washer. A basically regular washer as it turns out. There were more than 5 repair calls to this washer within the first year. The repair men were always very nice. 1/2/2023 From the beginning they told me that this washer was a "lemon" and should be replaced. It started with shredding the plastic in the wash tub into little pieces. Mr. Paulsen blamed it on the fact we had picked up the washer and installed it ourselves, (They would not have been able to deliver for several weeks.) He blamed it that the feet were on incorrectly. Which they were on as directed. Then repairman then came a week or two later and replaced the feet with rubber feet. The white plastic liner in the washer tub then started to shred, another repair the plastic ring was then replaced. 8/3/2022 the washer would not finish a cycle and had to be frequently restarted there was also a loud grating noise. More repairs .3/19/2024 Then the "jet engine" noises and intensifies grating sounds began. I called them, to inquire about that and if it was ok to continue to use the machine? I was told they checked with Mr. Paulsen, and it was fine to continue to use the machine, this will not damage the machine will be ok until we can get a repairman out. The repair man could not come for a while. When he did come out for repairs, he told me the machine needed to be taken into the shop to try to repair all these issues 3/22/2024 An additional loud noise was added to the symphony of machine noises. I called Paulsen's left a message and there was never a response. I called again and was informed Mr. Paulsen will send a loaner machine to take our machine into his shop to repair all these perpetuating issues. In the meantime, I was verbally threatened (more than once) that speed queen will inactivate our warranty as we are using it at work. If Mr. Paulsen "turned in these repairs, we would lose our COMPLETE warranty. Intimidation attempts were not appreciated! 3/26/2024 Two servicemen from Paulsen's came to remove our machine for repair and give us a loaner. They were very enlightening! When they arrived, they started the machine for about 90 seconds and stated, "The machine just needs to be replaced due to all these issues." The machine was more than half full of water as now it also did not empty nor spin. One of them opened the front of the machine. These are just some of what they told me the found, the belt was shredding, the transmission was not working, and the pump was failed. They proceed to dump the water from the machine loaded it and took it away to the business repair shop. They did leave a loaner ,used machine also a different less expensive model than ours. Also, with no warranty left on that model. THIS IS NOT GREAT SEFVICE NOR IS IT LEAVING THIS CUSTOMER WITH A SMILE. SPEED QUEEN SHOULD REVOKE THEIR ABLILITY TO SELL THEIR PRODUCTS. ASAP!! Liz

My freezer was on sale so I got it for a fair price. Overall I would recommend them if you need any appliances in the area.
