Purchased an Upright freezer from the Morris store on 10/30/20. Ordering was easy and it was to be delivered to the store on 11/19/20. I went into the store the prior Monday to confirm delivery; I was told yes it would be there on 11/19/20. I informed the store associates that I would be picking it up on Friday, 11/20/20 at approximately 6pm and they said that would be fine. Friday morning I stopped in to confirm pick up but was told the freezer never came in. I explained to them that my son in law had taken the night off of work and rented a truck. The associates, who were very nice said that they would have the store manager Brandon call me when he got in that afternoon. I waited all afternoon and night for his call but received nothing. Saturday morning, 11/21/20 I stopped in the store the talk to the manager and was told he would be in at 12:30pm. The store associate gave me a few corporate numbers to call at my request. Low and behold no one associated with those numbers could help me. They kept insisting on forwarding my call to the store. I went back into the store at 12:15 to cancel my order. The associate was very understanding and apologized for the inconvenience and the hassle I had. At that time the manager, Brandon walked in. I explained to him who I was and asked why he didn't call me last night. His response was he was busy on the phone with another customer all day. Really??? I explained to him that I was out a lot of money and it would have been nice if he would have communicated with me. I try to keep my money local but in this case I will never shop at this store again. Brandon was not effected by my response. I informed him that as a manager, he needed more training on how to run a store and deal with customers. Again, he really didn't care. read more

Sears Hometown in Dekalb Illinois has the best employees. One was the managers one was an employee (I apologize for not remembering there names). They helped us out when the heard are refrigerator went out and we are having a party at out house they didn't have a delivery service yet. They got the refrigerator and brought to my house. I just had the most horrendous customer service from the Morris, IL Store. Kelly who is apparently the store manager must have skipped the customer service training from sears because she was extremely rude. Not only rude from store manager perspective but as an adult. She had the biggest attitude problem when i was calling to simply straighten out a messed up situation with my mother's order. When I told her that she was being rude and had an attitude she said "really?" and hung up on me like she was a 12 yr old child. I find it hard to believe that this is the level of professionalism that sears tolerates amd promotes to a management position nonetheless. When i called back to get the information I needed to contact corporate she started yelling and berating me over the phone, again like a petulant child instead of an adult, let alone a store manager. It is no wonder to me that sears is going out of business because they hire people of this caliber. Sears has gone completely down the drain and will never get another dollar from me or my mother all because Kelly has an attitude problem and sears decided to make her a store manager and be the face of the company. UPDATE: I just got off the phone with corporate customer service, who told me they reached out to the store manager Kelly, and she outright blatantly lied about the entire situation. Congratulations Sears, you not only have an extremely rude employee but a store manager who has zero integrity as well. Well done. read more

Beware!! We made an $11,000 purchase from this Sears in December and when my husband picked up his order the the manager dropped two very large garage cabinets onto the bed of his truck breaking a $1500 brand new truck topper and damaging both cabinets. Since December 16th my husband has repeatedly called both stores the one in Morris that actually did the damage and the one in Champagne that is also owned by the same locally owned hometown store in Morris, IL and the owner still has not addressed the situation. We will obviously have to get an attorney to resolve this which is such a shame after we spent so much money in that store. The owner should be ashamed of the way they handle their business. Ordered a new Lawn mower on line and had shipped to the store. Went to pick it up and it was stored outside. When we ask the associate about it he said oh no, it was just delivered to the store. This was a lie as it arrived 4 days prior. They had all of their appliances stores outside and all of the boxes were soaked. read more
