They repaired my airconditioning quickly. Very pleased with the efficiency and friendliness of this business.

Do NOT take your car here unless you want to have to call the police to be able to get your keys back. Michael is a scammer through and through, charged $2k for him to have my car for 3 weeks and he did NOTHING to my car and I when I told him I didn't want to him to have my car anymore he kept pushing back the date for pick up and obviously called me 30 min before closing to pick up my car and the officer still had to tell him to give me my keys. If you are woman, I wouldn't recommend going on your own but better if you don't go there at all. Corporate said they couldn't do anything until more people complained, so until they decide is enough people everyone else gets screwed. If you read more reviews, you can see it's not just me who had ALL of these issues, wish I would've never stepped foot in there. He always needed money to tell me what was wrong with the transmission, yet he never even gave me a diagnostic because he doesn't give that out to anybody. read more

The more I spoke with the service advisor (Michael) at AAMCO, the less confident I felt about leaving a transmission job in his hands. He came off as incompetent and dishonest. As I asked for specifics about the job transmission he became offended, annoyed and less transparent. He called multiple times to convince me that he was the man for the job. I would just let him talk and talk just to observe his demeanor and noticed he was just full of himself and would practically say a lot about himself but nothing of value to me. He is very intrusive and likes get into your personal business when you don't agree with him. Don't ask him for a walk through of the mechanical job or pictures of the automobile diagnoses because he gets offended and claims his work is proprietary information and would never show his work to others because he fears other mechanic shops will steal his expertise. Michael is too incompetent and too intrusive. I had to lie to him just to get him off my back and get my vehicle back after paying him for a transmission diagnostics ($380). After he returned the truck, I explained to him why he is not the right man for the job. He had a melt down and was not surprised when he started acting against the customer. I decided to go to Caliber Auto Care, ordered my remanufactured transmission, scheduled the install and added a complete suspension job to the work order. Job was done in 2 days. The job included pictures, videos, and a complete walkthrough of the jobs performed. That is what I call a job well done with full transparency. Michael the degreed engineer at AAMCO was definitely outshined by the team at Caliber Auto Care. read more

We bought our car to this establishment on 2/2/22. Today is 3/25/22 and we have spent $2500 cash and our car is still not fixed. Michael continues to give us excuses about how he can't find parts and he'll get back to us. I would not recommend anyone to this business and I plan to report him to the BBB for poor service and over charging consumers. read more

I'm so thankful for John Phelps and his team :) My A/C was out and it was unbearable- Texas heat! I took my vehicle here and I couldn't have been more comfortable. He was very generous, knowledgeable, and most importantly HONEST. Too many times women are taken advantage of when going to repair shops! I highly recommend his shop! He fixed my issue and helped me with the pricing! Excellent customer service. read more

I took my daughters car to AAMCO for a 'Shift System Failure' issue. After speaking to owner, Michael Harendt, I agreed to a $95 diagnostic fee. Several days later, Michael informed me that a more extensive diagnostic was required. After determining water in the wiring harness was the cause of the problem, I paid $782.48 for diagnostic & repairs. A little over a week later, the problem reoccurred, along with an emergency parking brake light appearing on the dashboard, despite the break not being engaged. We were asked to bring the vehicle back, but unfortunately, Hurricane Beryl hit, & the area was without power for a week. We returned the car on Tuesday, July 16th. On July 19th, after not hearing from them, I called to check in. Michael immediately became aggressive saying, "I told you I would call you when the car is ready, & I haven't called you yet, so the car is not ready." Several hours later he called back. Since I'm not familiar with mechanics, I let me adult son listen on speaker. Michael started speaking to me like I was ignorant. I tried to interrupt him & he became very rude; talking down to me saying, "if you would stop interrupting me, I will tell you what needs to happen." I let him continue. After 10-15 minutes, I again tried to interrupt to ask a question, & he became even more angry & began verbally attacking me. Ultimately, I hung up on him. He immediately called back & start speaking to me with such vile disrespect. After not allowing me any chance to respond, I hung up again. He called me back, AGAIN, & the same scenario occurred. I was so upset at how he was treating me that I hung up on him a 3rd time. Again, he called back, but my son answered & told him we were coming to pick up the vehicle. Michael told my son that I was rude & disrespectful & treating him like a "2nd class citizen." My son explained that he had listened to the entire conversation & he knew that was a lie. After a series of rude & disrespectful interactions with Michael, we paid $782.48 for diagnostic & repairs that didn't fix the problem and had to endure verbal, condescending attacks from Michael. read more

I am going back to AAMCO tomorrow to finish a State Inspection. Was told that I had to take care of tires, lights and wiper blades before they could hook into states inspection system. Got it all done, now to have them replace the mass airflow sensor, and I will be locked and loaded. Business is run by a new owner that also is a fellow veteran. They have my business from now on. read more

A TOTAL waste of time. I called about bringing my car in. I gave a brief description of what was going on with my car and what our regular shop told us they thought was going on. I was asked if I could bring my car in at 8 a.m. Long story short we were given the run around for 3 days before we told them we'd just pick our car up. The issue we were having wasn't pulling any code. It was also an issue that you would have experience while driving the car. We were initially told the mechanic didn't hear anything when he drove. Michael did drive our vehicle with us and was able to hear and feel what we had been describing all along. What really happened is that they were too busy to figure it out and that's where I got upset. If you are so busy that you don't have time to figure a more complicated issue out then turn business down! We were strung along for days. They did drive our vehicle and look for a code. That shouldn't have taken 3 days. They at one point even told us they didn't believe it was transmission related. So we took our car to Nissan and had our whole transmission replaced. It's not right to ask people to drop their vehicles off at 8 a.m. when you know your shop is full and you aren't able to get to it in a decent amount of time. Had we not just said forget it who knows how long it would have sat there. The only reason Ill give 2 stars is bc Michael was nice enough. However, nice enough doesn't make wasting people's time ok. read more

I was told by another shop I needed new catalytic converters . Brought my car here because I could get a credit card , due to the repairs being expensive. I got a credit line of. $5000 . The owner charged my card the complete $5000 , before all the repairs were even done ! He was very rude. , belittling , horrible respect for women . Also when I picked up my car one of the mechanics was shocked he was sending me out of there with my car like that ! It barley made it home by the time I got home the belt was shredded on my car ! My car has been sitting since I brought it home ! I had to buy a new car ! I would never recommend this thief of a mechanic ! I had used this shop before , they were ok the owner was not around during my first experience , I am appalled that there are such crooked mechanics out there! I had told him a friend gave me my car as I was a single mother of triplets and my car had flooded . His response was .... Well $5000 is not much to pay then for a free car ! I also have all the previous maintenance records , which he stated the car had not been maintained ! Dishonest do not use this shop! read more
