Went in for an oil change. Was recommended that I do a premium oil change because it had been awhile since I had one. I agreed and also takes to them about some other work. After my oil change, I took my car a couple months later to a different shop and they ran a diagnostic. The only thing wrong with my car was how dirty and dark the oil was. This was 2 1/2 months after this supposedly premium oil change. Apparently they charged me for the oil change but never did it. I only drive my car about 5 minutes to and from home to work daily. There's no way that less than 3 months later my oil was that dirty. I won't be scammed by this business again. Wouldn't recommend them at all. read more

I had a bad experience with a mechanic and I'm wondering what policies you all have that protect consumers from suspicious tactics. Yesterday I came in for an oil change around 1:15p. This was my second time using a Groupon to get an oil change. Everything went smoothly, I wasn't notified that I had a valve cover leak that was really bad, the mechanic said nothing of the sort. I got my keys back and started to drive. By the time I pulled up at home the Jeep was smoking from underneath the hood. I look under the hood and oil is squirting out splashing all over the back of the engine. I immediately took the Jeep back to Kwik Kar to see what was going on. I thought he might have forgot to put a piece back on the way oil was squirting out the engine. The mechanic that worked on my car was no longer there. I talked to two other mechanics that cleaned the oil up that was spilled all over my engine. Initially I wondered how so much oil could be left behind. I understand a little spillage happens but this was a lot of oil. One of the mechanics says that a hose is missing. I tell him, "my car hasn't been spewing out oil or smoking or anything like that until now, how is a hose missing?". He's unsure bc he did not work on my vehicle. He mentions that whoever did my oil change shouldn't have even been behind the engine, with the engine cover removed. I ask if there are cameras to confirm if the cover had been during the oil change? He says "yes" So we wait for the mechanic who did my oil change to return. Upon his arrival he removes the cover on the engine, goes straight to where the oil is coming out and says "you need a new valve cover, if you go grab the part, I can fix it for $130 right now" this was very suspicious to me because how can you determine where the leak is and how much it will cost without a proper diagnostic? He didn't even go to the computer to check on anything, just automatically knew the price and what was wrong? I ask him about the missing hose, his response is "that other mechanic is in his 20's, he doesn't know anything." I ask "well why is oil shooting out from behind the engine?" He says "it's a really bad leak I could smell it when you pulled up" I said "my car wasn't smoking when I pulled up, it wasn't oil all over the engine when I arrived, how is it spewing everywhere now" he says "I notated the leak when I finished the oil change" I tell him "but you didn't notify me of anything, you didn't say anything about a major leak when you gave me my keys back" he says "yea I could smell it thought" at this point I get extremely frustrated because it's just not making sense, I can't even drive the Jeep right now. It's spewing oil like never before and smoking is billowing out from underneath the hood when I stop. I drive this Jeep everyday. It's never done this. The area on the car where the oil is leaking, shows fresh oil, it's not dark and caked on, because it hasn't been leaking in this manner. Before I got this oil change my vehicle wasn't doin this. When I got an oil change in October from Kwik Kar I knew I had minor leaks and the mechanic that did my oil change then, said nothing about them, when he finished the oil change. The mechanic yesterday said nothing of the sort until I came back with a problem. My first time using Kwik Kar I used either my aunts number (713)632-3116 or my grandmas number (281)989-8646. Can an investigation be done to see if those numbers pull up a Jeep compass? The paper work I have from the previous oil change says nothing about a valve leak. I am very suspicious that the mechanic removed the valve cover on the engine. I believe he went behind the engine, and removed the valve cover so I would have to return and receive services from him. I am very upset at this point and I want to know can an investigation be done to remedy this situation? I need to know if the mechanic that worked on my Jeep removed the engine cover and went behind the engine for anything. Removing the cover is not necessary for an oil change. One of the mechanics in the shop confirmed that. I am very upset at this point and I really need a manager or supervisor from Kwik Kar to help me. read more

Came in on Sunday at 2pm for an oil change. Posted hours say they close at 5pm. Upon arriving, we were told that they were did not have the filter needed for our car in stock, but if we could get to Autozone and back in 10 minutes with the filter, they would do the oil change. When we arrived back at Kwik Kar with the filter, they said they didn't have the oil needed for the car and they couldn't do the oil change. Why make us rush to Autozone and buy the filter and rush back only to tell us that you don't have the oil? Check your stock next time. Terrible customer service. The worker that "helped" us said that they were too understaffed to stay open til their posted hours so they had to close at 3. Hire more people and teach them how to count stock. Absolutely ridiculous, an hour of our time wasted. read more

The employees at this facility are so f'n rude!!! I literally had a female employee come up to me, tell me, "Just give me the phone" & snatch it out of my hands because I was having trouble connecting to my internet so that I can pull up my Groupon coupon for them to scan! When they removed the oil filter, they allowed oil to freely run all down the frame of the car. They did not wipe anything off. When they re-installed the oil pan plug they cross threaded the plug. Not only did I have oil all over the frame rails, I had oil all over my driveway. I paid my mechanic to diagnose the oil leak that began after the oil change (a stripped oil plug) and I paid the neighbor kid to power wash my driveway. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THESE INCOMPETENT FOOLS! It will cost you in the long run. They don't care about you. They don't care about your car! And they certainly don't care about this business. I brought my car in for an oil change and a week later my engine maintenance light was back on. I checked the oil and there was NO oil in my vehicle. I do not have an oil leak. No oil on my driveway, at work or anywhere else my car sits. No smoke, no smell, nothing. I brought it back and was told my car was burning the oil off and he didn't know why, he said maybe gaskets and it would be several hundred dollars to repair. The man put more oil and told me to come back in a week. 3 days later, oil was low again. I brought it else where and was told they used the wrong oil. Did an oil flush, put the correct oil and I haven't had any issues. Legit think they tried to scam me because a quick google search can tell you they used the wrong oil for my vehicle. Awesome place! The workers were super nice. I parked my car up front and there was a guy outside to greet me. Took my keys and asked what I needed. He also asked if I had a Groupon (which I did). I got an oil change with full synthetic oil for my 2015 Q50S. There's a nice lobby inside with tv and a complimentary coffee area. I was in and out within 20 minutes. They filled up my windshield washer fluid as well, which is nice. Will definitely be coming back. read more

I hate having to update my review to give a lower rating, but today just wasn't what I expected. Usually, I come in for an oil change, the technicians let me watch, I show them my groupon, and we're all good to go. But, today, I've got 2 problems with how the technicians handled my experience. The past few times I've come, either of the Mikes or Jared would help me out, but the last couple of times, they weren't there, but I knew these guys were very honest people, so I figured why not. tl;dr - changed manager and technicians - they aren't upfront with you about extra costs (+$3.24 if they're out of bulk synthetic and have to use a jug & a "premium" oil filter on certain cars like Toyotas) - charged me for premium oil but didn't even put in the full 4.6 quarts (only put in 4) - the manager, Nash, (Eurall?) wore his oil-ey gloves and drove my car out, getting my steering wheel and keys all oil-ey **came to not have to deal with oil, but somehow still got oil on my hands and by none other than the manager himself! (not to mention that getting oil on your bare skin is a huge health hazard) Well, a couple of months ago, my girlfriend took my Accord out to do an oil change (without the groupon) and was met by the Manager at the time, Nash (but goes by Eurall on the invoice?), and he tried to give her a hard time, telling her that if she just used their oil, it'd be cheaper. But, she knew better and brought our oil Mobil-1 full synthetic and oil filter and just paid for labor. Now, they charge $70.99 for the whole service if you use their oil, quoting $39.99 for using their own mobil-1 5-quart jug (+~$8.00 if you have a toyota and are using a "premium" oil filter). This is pretty steep considering you can go out and pick up the exact same jug at walmart for $22.88 (or $25.87 when it's not on sale) + the Mobil-1 filter for ~$8-15 depending on the model of your car. But, I get it, they're trying to run a business, so they've gotta up charge. What I didn't like was that they didn't honor the oil change coupon that we got in the email, WHICH I have used many times before with the previous manager Mike. Fast forward to today. My technician Jared was a nice guy, but he failed to mention that he didn't have any bulk synthetic, so I ended up having to pay an extra $3.24 because he used a Mobil-1 Jug with my Groupon. This made me a little frustrated cause if I knew that they were out, I would've just come again another time. To top it off, Jared didn't even fill it up all the way. He only put in 4 quarts when I know that the Camry takes 4.6 quarts with the filter, and could take the whole 5 quart jug no problem! Now what really pushed me to write this review is the fact that the manager himself, Nash (Eurall?), drove my car out with his oil damp gloves ON! HE LITERALLY MADE MY KEYS AND STEERING WHEEL OIL-EY. I came to get an oil change at a quick change place TO AVOID getting my hands and the inside of my car oil stained. Not only is this frustrating, but it's also a serious health hazard. Now my car slightly smells like oil and I've got oil all over my hands after driving home. Now I regret buying 2 groupons. The next time I come will probably be my last. But, if when I open up my oil filter compartment, and I don't see the K&N oil filter that I brought to avoid the $8.00 premium fee, the manager Nash/Eurall will definitely be hearing from me since he was the lower tech. read more

Kwik Kar is indeed quick! I was already bracing myself for a wait when I came on a Saturday, but it was the complete opposite. Greeted by one of their techs, Mike, he took my key and said he would get started right away on my oil change. They offer their WIFI for your use, coffee as you wait, and sometimes they have cookies out for you to enjoy as well. I was pleasantly surprised when Mike told me my A/C filters were still good and that I wouldn't need to change them yet. Typically at other lube places they are always trying to upsell one service or another or telling you that your filters need to be replaced. In and out in less than an hour - great start to my Saturday! read more

Came here to get an oil change after a competitor refused to take a valid coupon. Very nice and professional staff. Clean shop and knowledgeable staff. They even took my competitors coupon!!!. Chatted with one of the owners the entire time and received very personalized service. The customers that came thru the door were greeted by name. They had complimentary hot dogs, cookies and coffee (YUM!) I will be going back even though it's not in my neighborhood. Their service is great, they're well connected on social media and Yelp (loads of coupons and deals if you spend a minute poking around) and they are quick and efficient. They've never tried to sell me on any ridiculous extra work and I never feel ripped off. In addition, they have coffee and cookies in the front, a very clean bathroom and a great place for kids to play. A proper waiting room. Added bonus. If you don't have anything to do that day and can't get a ride home, plan your trip around lunch! The Kwik Kar is within walking distance of some of the better places to each in the area - Mellow Mushroom, Gringos, Rao's Bakery (go for a great breakfast!) or Bullritos. Or you could walk down a little bit and go to two great parks to get the kids running around while work is being done. If you ask me, the location is convenient enough that you can keep yourself or the kids occupied and still stay close to the shop. read more

I went in for a state inspection and they found every possible thing they could charge me for before they'd even do the inspection. They failed my inspection on 2 separate things that have never failed at any other shop. Do NOT come here for an inspection. These guys are an extreme ripoff. Employees were very diligent and hardworking. There were only two cars being serviced but I was able to walk in and walk out within 10 minutes, which is great. I was surprised when I saw the Wednesday special for $10 off for women. Lobby was beautiful refreshments and snacks were offered juicy soap opera playing on the television. They washed off my dashboard andmy windows, vacuumed my front seat floor mats but did not ask if I wanted to move my stuff out of the back seat so they can do the same there, but it is okay I am very thankful with they did. I came by to get my oil changed this past Saturday, 6/10/17 around 4:30pm. A place I've been coming to for the last year. I parked my car to clean out a few things out before driving up. Since I've coming here I never had any problems with the mechanics. This day was different story. I was questioned by the (supposedly Manager) Was I the one sitting in my car for 10minutes. Well, he caught me off guard. First of all, it wasn't his business. Secondly, I noticed this guy was very bothered taking my keys. I felt very unwelcomed. This wasn't the customer service I was expecting....at all. I asked him for my keys back and made sure to let him know I will not be bringing my car back and he's lost my business. I can never walk out of here without having to fix something according to the car mechanics which does get annoying at times. Service costs are high but comparable to any other auto repair shop. I called a couple other places before going to Kwik Kar at Champions, all the others told me that I could expect to pay from $145 to $180 to have my car's A/C serviced. I used a groupon at Kwik Car and was out the door at $33. Needless to say i am extremely pleased and my A/C is working like new. Furthermore, the store manager (Jeff), took the time to explain what he was doing and why. Jeff was very friendly and helpful.
