Beckwith's replaced the engine in my classic 1998 Chevy C1500 Silverado with a remanufactured unit. I'm very happy with the work performed. I have run the engine for just over 500 miles and the engine has performed perfectly. I would have given Beckwith's 5 stars if they had been more proactive in their communicating how far along the work had progressed. I call today just for an estimate for front catalytic converter on a Honda Accord. The guy told me he couldn't give me an estimate I need to bring it in. I educated him, I know what is wrong with it and you can give me an estimate. He replied, "No, we need information off your car." My response was you can get that with the VIN #, he went silent, no you just need to bring it in. I didn't ask for exact price, I asked for an estimate only. Came to this place last month because my ac wasn't working, they were unable to fix on the same day which was fine but ended up fixing it the next day. When the car was ready I got a call to pick it up, while there I paid and proceeded to go outside and turn my car on. The windshield wipers didn't turn off, I went back inside and told the receptionist. Here's where I'm just mind blown, she tells me that they would need to run a diagnostic and that they would have to charge me?!?!? Why would I have to pay for something that you guys broke? I literally went in to fix my ac and that was it! My windshield wipers were perfectly fine before they touched my car! Well, they didn't budge, as you can imagine I left really upset, I went on to get quotes from dealerships and the part itself is 850! That's why they didn't want to fix their mess up! i went in to get an alignment done. they said i needed new upper control arms, upper ball joints, tie rods and a few other things. they quoted me about $3,700. i went to my local shop to get a second opinion, i had those things that needed to be fixed but along with my center link and my front shocks were completely disintegrated, i also needed a new sway bar. i got quoted $2,500 at my local shop plus the extra things i needed to get done. they over charge on their labor and parts. for my upper ball joints the labor was almost $830. i would not recommend coming to this shop unless you have money money read more

Brought our van here because of the incredible reviews. This review doesn't reflect their service, but I definitely wanted to mention something that caught me off guard that I have not encountered at an auto shop before. They have a $95 diagnostic fee for every issue that you bring a vehicle in for. I normally would be fine with a fee like that if it was then applied toward the work if you use them to fix the issue, but that wasn't the case. So, for someone who walked in with two issues on our van, it would have been $200 just for them to tell me what was wrong. Every other shop I've been to provides this as part of the service barring something extensive like tracking down an electrical issue. People were friendly, but the cost to do business here was too much for us considering how many reviews mentioned reasonable pricing. read more

Brought my car in yesterday for a specific reason and requested that the multi inspection not be done as it was done a few months ago. I was told ok. To my surprise the multipoint inspection was done anyway. When I went to pick my vehicle up this was a one hundred dollar service that I requested not be done which I had to pay for. I went here a couple summers ago because the a/c in my car was going out intermittently. They supposedly fixed it the next day but apparently didn't because two weeks later it was going out. When I called they made it sound like I would need to pay more, Etc. funny since they were already expensive. I instead went somewhere else where the person showed me that Beckwith's used a part from a chain place and not approved for my car. I won't go back. The new person fixed it and haven't had any problems. I am glad others have had a great time maybe it was luck of the draw for me. Just sharing my opinion. Brakes were bad on my car- scary bad:( I called Jason around noon and he got my car in and out by the time I got off work:) Terrel was such a happy person when I picked up my car, even though it was the end of the day. I had my car taken to Beckwiths. They checked it and let me know I needed a new clutch. Upside, they researched and found that the damage was due to a recalled part that had never been replaced. They gave me all of the info so I could call fiat and have my car taken to the. Of course, fiat dragged their feet and finally said they would not cover repairs. I had to give Beckwiths the go ahead fix so I could be back in my car. After I got the car back I pursued fiat. They had the work done by Beckwiths verified and sent me a check for the full amount of the repairs. I have always felt intimidated by car shops. Not this one. The front desk, in particular Terrell are down to earth and helpful. There is no talking over your head or pushing you into things that you aren't even sure what they are or if you really need them. Instead there is education and patience. These guys truly care about their customers and it really shows. It is so rare to find an honest car repair place. I had been taking my car to the dealership and after an almost $2000 repair quote I decided to take it to Beckwiths car care. They were honest and thorough. The dealership had given me an overinflated quote. It turned out that it was going to be under $500 to do the repair but they were honest about the situation and said that it could be monitored to see if it worsened over time but that it wasn't an actual leak. I recently took my 2008 Scion to this location. I had taken it to other places and got an opinion and estimates on what was actually going on with my car. The team at beckwith's looked at my car and called me with the information that they found. It was a fraction of what one of the other places had told me so I let them know that. Terrell told me that they would go ahead and take another look and see if they saw anything that needed to be corrected. They called me back and let me know that they still only saw a fraction of what the other place saw. Which was nice to hear considering it was a $2,000 difference in price. They ordered the parts and tires and had everything done by the end of the next day. Everyone that works there was so helpful. The front desk guy was very informative and helpful as well as cheerful and explained everything to me . Everyone had smiles on their faces and the overall experience was a great one . I have found a new place to bring my car when it needs work. I even recommended it to my boyfriend to replace parks on his truck and they were cheaper than NTB buy a good amount. Several years ago the a/c in my car stopped working so I took it to Beckwith's Car Care. The man there told me the system had several leaks along with some other problems and it would cost me $1800 to fix. When an estimate on any kind of repair is this outrageous I always get a second opinion, and I'm glad I did. I took it to my dealer and he told me it was simply a relay that went out. The whole job cost $125! I know Beckwith's has an exemplary reputation for honesty. Skeeter on KSEV radio, for instance, recommends them all the time. I'm not saying don't use them.
