I agree with the post about the guy needing to work on social skills. He seemed very put out from the very beginning when I walked in the door. We walked outside and walked to the back of my truck. He claimed that because I have after market (totally legal) taillights on my truck, it will not pass inspection. His attitude was very poor and he must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed though reading these reviews- I think it is his general demeanor. Anyhow, I drove over to my Toyota dealer and they inspected my truck and passed it in about 10-15 minutes. Don't waste your time with this place! read more

Second year I've come to AAA since moving to Texas. If you live anywhere near Carrollton this is the place to go. It may not look like much, without the fancy waiting rooms and all the fluff but the gentlemen who helped me both years was friendly, patient, and informative. Aside from the great customer service interaction he gets the car inspection done quickly so you aren't waiting more than 10 minutes. It is first come first serve but I was first up when I got here around 9 am. read more

Quick and customer oriented service, good price ($25 bucks)...will definitely revisit next year!

I've been coming here for my inspection since I first got my license...which I'm just now realizing was over 15 years ago, so I'm going to need a minute to process that. They're always thorough and unbelievably fast. I moved out of Carrollton over 6 years ago, but I'll probably still come here to get my inspection until the end of time. read more

I've been using this place for all my vehicles for many years now. Very straight forward and No scam sales for an expensive set of wiper blades, a spoonful of brake fuid etc. like some places try to do. I even bring my motorcycle here as well. read more

AAA State-Inspection - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Carrollton, Texas

I was in and out in 10 minutes, it cost only $25, and the inspector was friendly. Masks required. Highly recommend

Most fast and easy inspection I've ever had. The waiting area is a little run down, but you'll probably be in and out so quickly that you'll barely notice. read more

I have a 95 Camrey and this is the only place that inspects my old car. These guys are great. And they are really fast.

I come here every year! This is by far the easiest and quickest place in town. Great prices and great service.

Guy needs to work on his social skills. Gave attitude and made me feel slow when I asked what time they'd be open til and he just kept repeating "if there are 4 cars waiting by 5 then 6." A definitive answer would have been nice. Don't need the Attitude, there's other places that'll do it nearby just came here bc it was close to where I was going to update my title. read more

I made the mistake of going to another place before coming here but the other place said their inspector was running late so I drove here instead! I guess it was fate. This place is hands down the best! Quick and friendly service to the tee! I would recommend this location for everyone. 100% will be coming here again next year. read more

Monte at AAA State Inspections is AWESOME! My car was in-and-out in a matter of ten minutes. He was thorough, friendly, and even funny to chit-chat with. There's a waiting area with a TV, so you won't get too bored. I highly recommend coming here for your Texas State Inspection. Only $25.50. read more

So far it is the best in Carrollton, fast, cheap, and dependable, I have all my 4 cars inspected there.

Excellent customer service!! Went to get my car inspection and everybody were wearing a mask for our protection!! It makes you feel that owner cares about customers!! Service was efficient and fast!! People were friendly and attentive!! Highly recommend!! read more

Gone there 3 times. Super quick each time. No up-selling tactics as well. One time my tires were at the edge of failing but still above the limit. read more

Great place to get your car inspected. This is one of the few places that has a dyno (to test 1995 and older vehicles). Jimmy and Monte always greet you with a smile and they are great to work with. read more

I went in to get my inspection, but the man who greeted me was extremely rude. I ended up leaving because I felt disrespected.

I needed a place to inspect my Toyota and the staff was professional and courteous. I arrived early and they inspected my car within ten minutes, which is the shortest time I've ever had to wait. No fuss, no bother. And since they only do auto inspections, no pressure to purchase services to repair anything. I really appreciated their courtesy and promptness. I will be back next year, for sure. read more

Incredible professional efficient service! I would definitely go back for my other cars and recommend fiends and family there!!

I've used these guys for years. Always friendly and efficient. I never wait more than a few minutes. I never get baited to do some extra repairs. I like them so much, I have even talked my dad into driving in from Irving when his inspection is due. read more

Friendliest and most courteous guys you ever want to meet and they do state inspections!! I've been going there for over 20 years and will not go anywhere else! read more

Quick and friendly service. Was definitely worth the trip. I will be taking all of my vehicles here from now on.

Was in and out in no time. Service with a smile and jokes. About as good as a state inspection can get.

Excellent place for vehicle inspection. They are fast and professional. I highly recommend this place.

Went here after I read wonderful reviews about this place. My spouse and I showed up without an appointment and had both our cars inspected. I couldn't believe how fast and professional they were. Everything was done in about 15 minutes. There were other options, but glad we chose this place. Highly recommend. read more

I just had my 1992 Civic inspected at AAA State Inspection on Keller Springs for about my third year in a row. They are always busy but move quickly and efficiently. Friendly staff, and whille my car has always passed every inspection in 28 years, this location has never tried to 'pad the bill' or do any other sneaky tactics [such as at a certain location on Belt Line!]. I appreciate that! Thank you to the folks at AAA State Inspection in Carrollton for a pleasant experience! read more

Fast, friendly service. They only do inspections so you don't have to worry about being sold services you don't need.

I use this place for all my cars. They are quick, the process is simple and the service is excellent. Will keep going back every year.

I've been to AAA State Inspections a few times because the location was convenient for my commute home from work. Easy to get in and out quickly and they get the job done. But I decided to post this after my experience with them last week. I hadn't done my due diligence with the Two Steps One Sticker change and my registration was due at the end of July, so I thought I needed an inspection. My current inspection expired the following month, in August. So I stopped in to get an inspection done. Took them just a minute to come in and tell me that I actually didn't need an inspection because of the way the dates fall, I was good until next year. They very easily could have done the inspection anyway and charged me for it and I would have been oblivious. That kind of honesty and service will make me go out of my way to get all of my vehicles inspected there from now on. read more

The reviews I read before taking my very old but loved Civic to Monte at AAA State Inspection shop were so CORRECT -- this place is the BEST! Courteous, friendly, efficient and respectful especially of the customers' time. Even better, Monte knew the new and changed rules regarding inspections and that I only had to pay $7.00 for my always-pass healthy 26 year old Honda, instead of the typically hefty inspection fee where I had gone elsewhere for many years. AND no faux attempts to upsell/get unnecessary things done to my car just for their profit, at my expense. Yes, that happened to me at a different place [cough Car Spa cough]. The State still got $73 out of me, but I was VERY pleased with the excellent service at AAA State Inspection on Keller Springs near Josey, and hope to be back a year from now! Thank you! read more

They have a lot of reviews under Brake-O. Make no mistake, separate company. In and out in 10 mins. Honest and no nonsense this is the place to get car inspection in Carrollton. read more

As a woman, I'm always weary about taking my car to any auto shop. However, I needed an inspection so I looked for an establishment that only performs auto inspection and was led to this place. The staff was very professional and I was in and out in 10 minutes. It was amazing. I would highly recommend this place. read more

I have never written an online review, good or bad, ever. I thought I would give them a shot, based on the two reviews here. As I drove there, I thought the positive reviews were probably planted by the owner and/or employees. WRONG! Monte was a super nice guy, friendly and fair. I strongly recommend AAA. read more
