The best part about this vehicle inspection place is that they will never sell you ANYTHING to pass inspection, unlike gas stations where they (surprise, surprise) fail you on items that they sell. This business does inspections only so are immune from such "temptation." Don't bother however if you want a place that will let you slide on the rules. Since I personally obey the rules, I like the idea of an honest shop that honors them. Beyond all this they have extremely likable employees who have given me tips on saving money on other automotive purchases. They're sensitive to customers' time in waiting. Guy needs to work on his social skills. Gave attitude and made me feel slow when I asked what time they'd be open til and he just kept repeating "if there are 4 cars waiting by 5 then 6." I've been to AAA State Inspections a few times because the location was convenient for my commute home from work. Easy to get in and out quickly and they get the job done. But I decided to post this after my experience with them last week. I hadn't done my due diligence with the Two Steps One Sticker change and my registration was due at the end of July, so I thought I needed an inspection. My current inspection expired the following month, in August. So I stopped in to get an inspection done. Took them just a minute to come in and tell me that I actually didn't need an inspection because of the way the dates fall, I was good until next year. They very easily could have done the inspection anyway and charged me for it and I would have been oblivious. That kind of honesty and service will make me go out of my way to get all of my vehicles inspected there from now on. read more

The reviews I read before taking my very old but loved Civic to Monte at AAA State Inspection shop were so CORRECT -- this place is the BEST! Courteous, friendly, efficient and respectful especially of the customers' time. Even better, Monte knew the new and changed rules regarding inspections and that I only had to pay $7.00 for my always-pass healthy 26 year old Honda, instead of the typically hefty inspection fee where I had gone elsewhere for many years. AND no faux attempts to upsell/get unnecessary things done to my car just for their profit, at my expense. Yes, that happened to me at a different place [cough Car Spa cough].
