Normally, I like to be present for inspections, but because it didn't work out this time, my wife was there. After several estimates, she settled on Bug Baron for their clear explanation of the treatment, professionalism, and willingness to get their hands dirty and be thorough in locating termite activity. I had The Termite Guy come out since they did the last service over 5 years ago, and they were not as thorough. Not to mention, they focused more on selling me on the company, yet were not willing to do anything that would give me the impression they had identified the issue, so I went with Bug Baron. Simon, my point of contact, is a pro. He was always responsive, willing to answer my questions, and patient in dealing with my schedule. Given that I had received so many estimates, he price matched what i had been quoted. Further adding to the value of them vs the other guys, his warranty was for 5 years, while the others were either 1 or 3 years, and if you wanted a 3-year, you had to pay a pretty penny. Overall, great company, great communication with Simon, great value for the scope of work, and very interested in addressing my issues without pushing to sell me on something I may not need. After receiving several quotes, I decided on this one company because they offered the best customer service, made it clear that all my pest issues would be handled, and had unbelievably affordable pricing. A time was agreed upon for a technician to come by our home within twenty-four hours to begin spraying a pesticide mix and to set off a bug bomb fogger. The technician arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled appointment, walked the entire property, and immediately got to work. The tech was on my property for less than 2 hours and crawled under the house to spray every single inch. He also sprayed our two yards, porch, patio, driveway, and around the garage. The technician also repaired all basement screens and other areas where bugs can return. While the tech was making these repairs, spiders, termites, and water bugs were seen crawling out from under the house onto my driveway and simply dying on the spot. This went on for the next hour. Needless to say, I was extremely happy and satisfied with the service I received from this company's employee (sorry, I do not recall his name). He was UNBELIEVABLE, friendly, hard-working, and highly committed to resolving this very stressful issue for my family and me. During the process, I came in contact with about a half dozen team members, all of whom were friendly, professional, and personally concerned with our wellbeing. That was important because I found that ridding a home of rodents is not easily achieved. The initial step was to survey the house, seal potential entry sites, then set the traps. The HS team completed the process and set up an appointment to check the traps. after a couple visits, we still heard the vermin scratching around. So, HS brought in a senior inspector who found a few open areas I never would have thought to identify (openings between the outside wall and the foundation that were tucked up underneath the visible area). Those areas were sealed and within ten days, we no longer heard anything. I check of the traps today revealed a large intruder had been eliminated. Home shield performed like partners in our quest to eliminated rodents from our home. They came back as often as needed without complaint and escalated appropriately to assure our problem was solved. And importantly, they never once questioned our reports of hearing critters.

I understand staff changes but I didn't have time or energy to micromanage that process and as a result I had to pay more to use them due to rats returning, it didn't seem to have fixed the problem since I'm having an issue again.
