Yesterday I called Jon to do a lock and key service on my Jefferson desk. I've had the desk for over 35 years. The original key was not able to unlock the top of the desk. I called him around 3 pm, he arrived around 4 PM. He tried the key several times to no avail. He removed the lock mechanism, found the problem, and adjusted it to fit properly. AAA gave the least expensive estimate of three lock companies for replacing the locks on several doors. I called on a Saturday morning and he immediately answered. He came out that same day, offering two available time slots. Jon was pleasant to work with and completed the job quickly. He even included keys in his cost. AAA does not accept credit cards but does allow one to mail in a check. His charge was $60 for the service call and $10 for each lock, with no additional taxes, and with three keys per type of lock. read more

What a great experience we had on a Friday night with AAA Locksmith. My daughter broke our key in half when she locked our front door.Awh, I thought friday night, locksmith = expense and good luck finding someone, again expensive....Not with them. The best service I hope I never have to use. You know how it goes, that panic that sets in when you realize just how stupid locking yourself out of your own house really is. Add to that the fact that it's Memorial Day, and you're pretty much out of luck. Only I wasn't. A quick mobile Google search turned up AAA Lockout Specialist, and much to my surprise he actually answered the phone on a holiday! No additional charge for the weekend or the holiday, and he was on site in about 20 minutes. The lock was stubborn, I watched him try at least three different methods to overcome it, but eventually it came loose. He even took some time to test the lock after he picked it, ensuring that it still functioned properly. Throughout, he was nice, funny and informative. Wow! is the right word. I called Jon with a tricky question for a new door lever on our new door that doesn't operate from the outside. Our contractor and handyman had no idea what to do. After patiently listening to my issue, Jon offered to research online and troubleshoot for me. An hour later he called me back with the answer to my problem, we have a 'hotel' knob installed instead of 'residential.' There is nothing for him to do at this point, he just helped me tremendously as I was at a loss on solving the issue. Also, this all happened between 6 and 8pm, so he was super responsive.
