one call and KELLY got my vehicle registration straightened out with the DMV. if i collected even minimum wage for all the hours i logged with those morons (at the DMV) the income would have paid for a nice HAWAIIAN vacation. the time has come for us to stop paying folks who work for the city, county, state and federal governments (i.e. we the people) and are completely useless. in the private sector, they wouldn't last five minutes and yet they collect a pay check, have great retirement benefits and health insurance. what's wrong with this picture ??? it would be okay with me if they were turned out on the street NOW !!!! read more

Had the displeasure of speaking to a Brandon J this a.m. about an auto claim and a rental car. Very short, Very rude. I found him condescending and he ended the call by hanging up on me. Shame read more

Terrible. Clerks are rude. They tried to use my desperation as a tactic to sell me their services. Not only did they try to take advantage of me, gave me a bogus excuse why their systems malfunctioned and said my subscription expired and tried to get even more money out of me by doing so. They deserve to be fired read more

Place is nice and people are super helpful. But don't come on a Friday if you need do more than just pay for your renewal. It's already been 45 minutes and I am still waiting. This place needs more employees! Do you need a job? Are you friendly and can you move quickly? Come and see these folks because they need the help! Holy Mollie! Apparently Friday and the first of the month are the worst here. read more

Love the perks of being a AAA member. Makes life so much easier. From getting towed to registering a vehicle yearly or an out of state vehicle purchase. Staff here are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend this AAA office. read more

First of all I have been a premier member since 1989 and here is how they treat a long-term client. Even if it was someone in their first year of membership they shouldn't be treated so poorly. I had to call them five times and since the first call they told me that my order was documented and I would get text updates and if I needed to call back whichever operator I got would know what was going on. I was locked out of my vehicle for more than three hours. Finally on the first call I found out from AAA that they said that dispatch was behind and even though I got text updates saying my service provider was dispatched they actually never were. A locksmith never came and I had to get into the vehicle another way. (Without AAA's help even though I've been a member for close to 32 years.) Oh, one of their operators hung up on me because I was asking him why it takes 3 1/2 hours to get their AAA contracted locksmith there who is based about onl about five minutes away from my location. The reason I know this is I know the name of the locksmith. He called me after I had already got the vehicle open by somebody else and he was actually a really nice guy and then said that he could've been there in about 10 to 15 minutes if they had ever called him. Because four out of five of the people I talked to where incompetent and obviously untrained and made no notes in the system and did not make sure that the service provider was dispatched I will be contacting auto club management to request a partial credit on my membership for this year. Such an egregious fail! In my opinion the other club is going downhill and management is failing. If I was locked out in a blizzard in a remote location I probably would've been dead. AUTO CLUB OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA --BAD NEWS. Yes, of course I'm mad. When you pay your dues and especially the highest dues for the highest plan it's reasonable to expect prompt courteous service with follow up. None of that happened. read more

They are not ethical and they have hidden charges when it comes to the membership. The broker charged me $20 more than the promotion and never said why!!! Called the company to find out that was for " connection fees"!!!!!! Connection for what!!!!!??? Anything to rip off the client. The problem is they have a monopoly over this kind f service and no one give a dammm !!! God bless Ralf Nader . He was really the defender of consumers. Now consumers are being slotted left and right. read more

AAA comes highly recommended, and so does Jonathan Henson! He did a great job helping me find Home Insurance and grave me helpful information for car Insurance as well. He is very helpful, pleasant, timely, and officiant. read more

What can I say??? My AAA membership is definitely worth it's weight in gold just for the fact that I can avoid those awful DMV lines!!! Friendly & fast service! I've been there twice and was in and out within 15 minutes! Gotta love it! read more

Don't ever go to the DMV again! Get on your AAA game ASAP. (Oooh, acronyms!) Every time I've been to this particular location I've had great luck in not having to wait hours for assistance. The staff has been continuously kind and genuine, yet to the point. AAA seems to aim to get you in and out in as little time as possible and I'm all for that (especially if I've got my two spawns in tow). Check in with your AAA card as soon as you enter and find yourself a seat :) Air Conditioning, yaaaaaaaas. One stop shop for taking care of insurance and all other automotive related needs, and the location has enough room to not feel like your going to catch the cold or foot fungus of the person sitting next to you (i.e., DMV stylee). Transferred the title of my new car without any problems and on the same trip I got my husband signed up for car insurance. Only took us about 30 minutes to do all of this! The agent that got us all squared away on the insurance-front seemed crass, but he was great at applying all the deals! And he turned out to have a sense of humor once the leg-work was done; sort of like a mullet: business in the front, party in the back! read more

Make sure you hit Jonathan Henson up for insurance he is cool people good worker if I ever have any problems (hardly ever ) I'll call him up and he takes care of it right away This guy deserves a raise read more

Fine experience overall, however I did deduct one star for the experience I had with a lady at the front desk who gave me the wrong information & forms to complete my DMV transaction. Hopefully on my third trip in there, they don't change their mind on what forms are required again! read more

I have been a AAA member for years, and never do find myself inside the actual AAA building. However, in the past month, I have managed to need to go in twice. Both times they were extremely helpful and very pleasant. During my most recent trip, I needed to pay my registration and was given my tags immediately. The whole process was fast, efficient, and painless. The complete opposite of the DMV. Side note: They only take cash and check. No debit or credit cards. Luckily I had one lonely check hidden in my purse or else I would have been SOL. read more

Maria at DMV services was AMAZING!!! She was so sweet, so helpful and went above and beyond... customer service is such an essential thing and this place has it... everyone is great! read more

We have been members for over 30 years until this year. With no claims. They decided the brush across a double roadway might be a hazard. Not even near our home. We got tired of arguing with them and switched to USAA. No loyalty with the Auto Club. Or to it anymore. They sure took our money all these years faithfully. We are glad we left. read more

Jonathan Henson helped me tremendously today by ensuring I got the best rate possible after two incidents I experienced in August. He spoke directly with several Geico representatives and was transferred five times to gather accurate information about the aforementioned incidents, and he did so with the utmost patience. I'd like to send a huge shoutout to my insurance agent Jonathan Henson at the Oceanside branch. He was given my account when my former agent moved away and I could not have been more fortunate! Jonathan always answers his phone or calls back immediately! That is so rare these days! He handle both my homeowners and auto policies and if not for him i would be in big trouble because my work schedule is insane and I am a disorganized mess!!! I sooo appreciate his personable and friendly demeanor, as he genuinely cares about me and his other clients. He even donated a raffle prize for my roller derby fundraiser, because he loves his community. Do yourselves a favor by getting AAA insurance and ask for Jonathan Henson!!! Btw- I switched from farmers to AAA insurance after the city of vista flooded my house with sewage and farmers literally told me, "good luck, but it's not our problem." AAA would have covered me and then they would have gone after the city for reimbursement. read more

A big shout-out for Lourdes at AAA Oceanside -- who delivered the most fantastic customer service. I showed up late afternoon with a cumbersome DMV task -- transferring registration and title from another state -- and she worked with me for over an hour to make it happen. Including going outside to inspect the car in drenching rain. Truly GREAT customer service. Thank you so much, Lourdes! read more

I had an extremely bad experience with your agent Adrian Sanchez over the past few days. Last week I got Renters Insurance for my new apartment and it was supposed to be an extremely easy thing to just pay fifty bucks and send the proof over to my leasing manager. Well.... first he said that I couldn't put both me and my girlfriends name on the same policy and that we were going to have to pay for two different policies, which he was "very happy to help with".... I'm sure he was well anyway, my leasing office said that was ridiculous and we shouldn't have to pay for two different policies. Long story short, I've been with AAA for four years now and it shouldn't have taken me 5 days to get my girlfriends name on the policy. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING and hoping AAA doesn't continue to let me down in the future! read more

Kathy H helped us with title transfer (first time I was selling a car) she knew exactly what we needed to do, how to fill everything out and even though I had lost the pink slip, we were able to order a duplicate right then and there One thing that might be neat for AAA to consider as a service. When selling a car to a private party whom you don't know, there can be trust issues. it would be cool if AAA acted as an disinterested 3rd party. The buyer gives the cash to AAA rep, the seller signs the transfer of ownership, the the seller gets the money and the buyer gets the keys. Another idea... Letting some random person test drive your car can be a little tough, esp for woman. I know this rarely if ever happens, but what if the buyer locks the doors and just keeps on driving with you in the passengers seat AAA could provide a service whereby AAA person oversees the test drive somehow. Perhaps they simply get copy of buyer drivers license, a photo of them, photo of car, etc. And the seller (i. The passenger seat) has an app that if activated notices AAA ASAP on the off chance their is an issue. read more

I was looking for new renter's insurance. I used to have a policy with State Farm from. My agent was Lisa Keith on Rosecrans. I had no issues with State Farm's policy, nor did I have an issues with the price, but their customer service was horrible. Their automatic payment was never on the same day and at times the charge wouldn't go through. I would always pay the next day or a few days later online. But, without fail, she would call my apartment complex almost immediately to inform them my policy was canceling. Then I would get a call from the leasing office asking for a new policy. The hassle and time it took for something so unnecessary was beyond frustrating. After having a policy with them for 3 years, and dealing with this a handful of times, I decided it was enough. I had AAA's roadside assistance plan and decided to look at combining my auto and renter's policy. I spoke to Jonathan Henson. He was very friendly and understood the frustration I was having. He was able to get me a great rate, even better than State Farm. I made the switch and I am so happy I did. I also had a ton of questions and I never felt he became annoyed or frustrated. Jonathan was very polite and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a policy. read more

Do not get homeowner's insurance from Triple A - You will be living a nightmare if you do and God forbid you will have to use it for an emergency. They will say one thing one day and it is a different story the next day. You won't know if you coming or going. Who needs it, especially when your stressed out trying to get temporary housing while the repairs are being done. You will have to call several different people and entities just to coordinate the events otherwise you will be out of luck. read more

I had the best experience at AAA! This is my first time going into an actual AAA building and having to get help. It was suggested I go there instead of the DMV for registration. They were all so helpful. The building was clean and they had it decorated for summer. I can not to enough about how wonderful the people are that work there. I will never go back to the DMV again! read more

I rejoined AAA to register an out-of-state motorcycle purchase, in lieu of the California DMV. AAA DMV counter employee was curt, rude, and condescending (to someone who is not only a Consumer Advocate professional, but and advanced practice cardiology specialist). She was of no help. I called seeking a supervisor to discuss this, and that employee refused to give me the name of that manager or the owner! I wrote to AAA's national CEO. He ignored my email for a week until I told him again what I do or could do (Investigations, reviews and lawsuits). He then had someone else reply for him! They also mis-spelled my member name. I am cancelling my membership in favor of using my USAA services. What an unprofessional organization....no 800 consumer help number either! Good luck if you aren't an attorney. read more

Locked my keys in the car AAA cancelled the tow truck 3 times. After waiting 3 hours and more then 6 calls to AAA finally asked to speak to a manager and he had the nerve to act like it was my fault and did nothing. I usually gush about AAA and the services that they provide to everyone. However, I went to ensure that my son's DMV paperwork was in order and the lady who was working the second to last booth and the gentleman that was next to her were taking care of the customers. The two employees who were closest to the window were designated to assist current registrations which is not a problem but when there is lobby full of customers not conducting that type of transaction you would think that the other employee would pick up the slack. Is it really necessary to have two windows dedicated to immediate registration especially with a lobby of people waiting??? The perception was that they didn't want to be bothered with lengthy transactions. This was unacceptable. read more

Do not ever ever ever ever ever go to this Triple A branch and talk to this guy Bryan... this guy gives the worst customer service. Not only that he cuts you short when your talking he is irritated like his job is horrible . His answer to every question you ask is "I can only tell you what I see " ... mmmm see where? The crystal ball? Go to Jason parada and Matthew Shapiro and Ryan Solis this guys are 5 stars for sure. I love the triple benefits and insurance but because the insurance is soooo good the customer service agents wants you to beg for it and take it the ways they want to give it to you because you want it. read more

Wow! This AAA office is really broken. Sorry to say that it has turned into a DMV. I went in to register my car and there were 18 people in front of me. I waited over an hour and there were still 15 people in front of me. This was at 10am, not at lunch time. I talked to the manager about the long wait. She said they are trying several different things to try to keep the wait time down but they just need more staff. I don't think that is the problem. The staff was moving slow, talking to each other and not hustling to handle customer demand. We don't need another DMV. read more

My car was hit while parked at work. What a nightmare! Luckily I called AAA and Martin Celoski, with my agent. I have never had such great customer service before. He listen to me, talked me down, related to my situation as best as he could, and assured me that things would be OK. He even went out of his way to make sure that all I needed to do was drop my car off at the collision center and catch the ride HE, himself, coordinated for me, to go pick my rental up. Martin gave me a few tips as far as not going forth with any "up sales" via enterprise, and assured me the situation would be handled diligently. He was very respectful and VERY patient with me. Gave me all info necessary and assured me that he would handle things and follow up with me as we moved forth. He is an excellent REP for this company and has followed through with every word. AAA has exceeded my expectations and will always have my back. Thank you AAA and Martin. You guys truly are insurance. WOW! read more

Saved me a TON of time when I had to get my registration sticker. As in, I woke up, randomly decided to go in before work (i.e., no appointment made), and was out in 5-10 minutes, even though there were already a couple people before me at 9am. However, they are a little unclear on the rules. I'd gotten a ticket for not having updated registration stickers. They said they couldn't sign off the ticket, but told me the DMV would do it. This is false, and that part cost me nearly 3 hours in line the next morning... To be fair, the DMV people didn't seem to know any better, because I asked before getting into line, and ended up waiting in a 3-hour line for no reason. Nevertheless. For the record, you have to go to the police station to get the ticket signed off. read more

I joined AAA to avoid having to go waste my time at the DMV just to sit in line for hours here. Don't bother.

We have been members for 20 years. My wife stopped by the AAA office in Oceanside to get advice on a trip to Peru. The woman in the travel department could not have been less helpful. I am very disappointed with the level of service received today. I will be sure to let my neighbors, friends and family know NOT to use AAA for their next trip. read more

I have been a member for 8 years and have maintained all of my insurance needs through AAA. Been a very happy member until today. Recently I wanted to make a change to my airfare that I purchased online at the AAA website. It turned out to be extremely difficult even with the Allianz travel insurance to change or cancel my trip. Come to find out, AAA uses and does not provide information on the website that trips are actually purchased through a third party, Priceline. When I visited the Oceanside,CA branch I was told that travel associates could not help me because I made the booking online. I felt stranded and left out in the rain and that they did not want to help. I would of been better to make the booking direct with the airline. read more
