Steve Webber has a servant's heart. 1. He tolerated my rescheduling so many times with a smile. Zero annoyance whatsoever. I was even annoyed with myself ;) 2. He answered my many questions, repeatedly, because of my brain fog when it comes to medical insurance. Again no complaints. 3. I'm confident in the plan that I selected with his guidance and advise. 4. Call him right now. 5. Aloha West rocks read more

Aloha is super helpful with any questions we had to make sure my mom's house was insured with the right coverage. Kelly and the team always answer every question with such patience and knowledge and we always feel taken cared of. Thank you to the team! read more

These guys really make things difficult if you've had an accident. They require a claim loss report that takes a long time to request. I recommend not wasting your time. Other insurers, like Geico, can pull the information directly from nexislexis. Not sure why aloha west can't do that. read more

Karen was very helpful in quickly getting back with me on specific questions. She is professional and a pleasure to speak with! Thank you Karen! Gail K. Oceanside read more

They do return calls BUT when I went to cancel my two policies due to Safeco raising my rates by 40% just because they could without tickets, accidents, fire, theft or anything that would provoke a justified increase ; I transferred to another large company with much better coverage, more discounts applied for superb records and veteran friendly. Aloha West cancelled with the wrong prematurely date and if I hadn't looked on Safeco website and caught it myself, I could have of been in a big problem, if I was involved in an accident. I called and spoke with Kelly D., unfortunately I received what seemed to be a lax attitude about fixing with underwriting almost insinuating and blaming me with no urgency even though I was closing in on the cancellation date. I was told it would take 1-2 business days on a Thursday morning ... 4 business days later on Tuesday am still showed as cancelled on Safeco website. I basically didn't drive my car until the other policy came into effect. Very inconvenient and disappointing exit experience. Good day. read more

I was recommended to Aloha, specifically Stacie, by a pastor at my church when I was struggling to manage our health insurance. Since then, I've worked mainly with Karen, who has been nothing but kind and patient with all my questions. Communication is a key factor for me when reviewing companies, and Aloha West Insurance has truly impressed me. I'm so grateful to have friendly, supportive people who assist those who may have difficulty navigating the complex health insurance system. read more

Safeco stopped insuring my home and they said I was on my own and gave me some referrals to try myself. It ended up other insurance agents were more than willing to help me find homeowners coverage. Now my Auto is coming due and I requested that they get other quotes and they never responded back and it turns out theSafeco quote is more than double other rates. So if you want a company that will do nothing for you other than collect fees they're perfect! John read more

Aloha West, and especially Kelly and Megan, have been taking care of our insurance needs since the day we opened our own business in Carlsbad. When we bought our first home here, they helped with that too! They have guided me through the crazy world of insurance: auto, general liability, workers comp, homeowners, umbrella, etc. They've even given me free advice on insurance situations in other states and areas where they don't write policies. I trust their integrity and the fact that they have our best interests at heart. You can't go wrong with having them on your team, whether you own a business or not. read more

I worked closely with Kathy Carey for my family health insurance and I highly recommend this team and I recommend Kathy. I found Aloha West Insurance on the Dave Ramsey site as one of his ELP's, and I'm so glad I reached out to them! Last year (2019) & previous year (2018), we had a different insurance agent that absolutely the worst insurance agent you can possibly have. He did not explain ANYTHING, and we ended up with the worst insurance last year called Aliera / Multiplan Health share. It was actually NOT health insurance and a cost sharing network-- NEVER AGAIN! We ended up cancelling halfway through the year (that's another story in itself check out my review for Aliera). We had to pay cash for all of our prenatal doctor appointments for the rest of 2019... You live and you learn. My only regret is that I didn't find Aloha West/ Kathy sooner ! Thanks to Kathy, she gave me a full understanding of what Aliera was, and even explained what the best options for my husband and I would be going forward so we didn't have to make that mistake ever again. She really took the time to educate with full transparency, which I found very refreshing and honest. Fast forward to 2020 open enrollment I trusted her to help me find the right insurance for our needs since we're expecting our first child this year! She helped us to choose the best health insurance within our budget, but also a great plan that would be fitting for prenatal & maternity costs. We ended up going with Blue Shield PPO Silver Plan and we're excited to have real health insurance coverage this year, which also includes vision and dental. I can't believe how clear and easy she made the whole process. read more

I typically do not write reviews, but had to in this instance as I cannot say enough wonderful things about Aloha West. I originally found them because of their affiliation with Dave Ramsey. Like most people, I find insurance-related issues exhausting and endless. Aloha West is a rare exception that took the pain out of the insurance policy hunting process. I originally worked with Megan Doan to find a commercial insurance policy and was beyond pleasantly surprised. Megan was positive, warm, extremely professional and efficient. I chose her over 2 other companies because of her exceptional skills, lightening speed in answering my emails/questions and her genuine demeanor. Megan genuinely cared - which means the world when it comes to your own business. A few month later I ran into questions related to a health insurance policy. I called the office and was connected to Steven Webber - little did I know that Steven was the owner of the company. Once again, nothing but an exceptional experience. Steven was extremely knowledgable, helpful, and positive. He spent HOURS helping me resolve a problem with an application. On top of that, he was very down to earth. I was shocked to find out that he was the owner of the company, still helping people with medial and agonizing application questions! That says a lot about this company. Aloha West exhibits the charm that old private offices were once renowned for - exceptional skills, incredibly pleasant and positive staff and people who genuinely care and are there to support you. That means THE WORLD when dealing with delicate and stressful questions/concerns related to the insurance of your home, your belongings, your business and the health of your loved ones. I would give them 6 stars if I could! I recommend them to family, friends and anyone who expresses insurance policy needs/concerns. I will always seek out Aloha West for my insurance policy needs. Thank you, Aloha West! It's a gift to have you here in San Diego! read more

I am so appreciative to Kathy Carey for her honesty when I was exploring option for dental insurances. Instead of pushing for sales, she warned me that most options would not be worth purchasing without employer support vs. just paying cash for dental services. I'm thankful for Kathy's advice - after looking into the options myself she was absolutely right. I decided not to go with dental insurance for this year. If I ever am in need of switching medical insurance I will definitely be asking Kathy Carey for advice, and will be recommending my friends and family to her as well! read more

Kelly Dirk was super nice and readily answered all my questions. What I love about this place is their authenticity and lack of pushiness. I felt like they truly wanted me to get the best insurance I could get, even when it meant that I had to go with a company that they happened to not work with (I had called to compare quotes from a previous insurer). Despite that, I'm definitely going to try to use Aloha West in the future due to the great customer service. read more
