I worked with Ben Losin to get started with Medicare. He was absolutely wonderful to work with. Ben explained everything, assisted me in signing up for a supplement and a prescription plan that was tailored to my exact needs. I had heard so many horror stories from my friends about signing up foe Medicare -- Ben took away all those fears and put my mind at ease. Thank you Ben! read more

I've had the opportunity to work closely with Ben and Mia over the past couple of months as I prepare to sign up for Medicare. Ben took the time to understand my current situation and then review the options available to me, racking and stacking them based on select criteria. He fielded multiple questions and assured that no items/steps were missed once the decision was made to move forward. Mia has been very helpful with the logistics and administrative parts of the process. I recommend Schulte Insurance Agency for anyone embarking on the Medicare journey. Thank you, Ben and Mia :) read more

We decided to end our relationship with Ben Losin of Schulte Insurance after repeatedly struggling to reach him for assistance with our medical insurance. While he was initially usually attentive, over time it often took several days for calls and emails to be returned, which made navigating our coverage increasingly stressful. I had shared my health issues with Ben so he was aware of my condition, which made timely and clear communication especially important. Despite this, he consistently preferred phone conversations over providing written responses to important insurance questions. We explained that having information in writing was essential for us to reference later, but this request was not accommodated. This left us feeling uncertain and raised concerns about why written communication was avoided. The challenges became even more apparent as my husband's coverage grew more complex. Instead of guiding us directly, Ben encouraged us to contact the insurance company ourselves. Without a full understanding of the intricacies of the plans, this process became frustrating, time-consuming, and stressful, especially since we had engaged an insurance representative specifically to help navigate these issues. We hope our experience can serve as a caution to others so that no one else faces similar difficulties. read more

I am a 65-year old woman, who never writes reviews and who had no idea how to figure out all the Medicare paperwork and their supplemental plans. Jessica was referred to me from a friend who had a great experience with her also. Jessica is patient, professional, up to date on ALL the different plans, supplements, pharmacies, and what each insurance will pay and not pay. Jessica gave individual attention to what I wanted and what I needed and didn't need. She explained everything in a clear and concise way and if I didn't understand she would patiently explain until I did understand. I would give the HIGHEST rating to the Schulte Insurance Agency and especially Jessica. read more

I was referred to Stephen Cummins. I needed direction regarding the best gap and drug plans regarding Medicare. I was advised to use Well Care for my prescription drug plan. What a nightmare!!! I have had one problem after another with this drug plan. Two cases filed with the Better Business Bureau and a formal complaint with Medicare. Medicare acknowledged that Well Care is a poorly rated company. There are hundreds of complaints with the Better Business Bureau. Why, Stephen did you refer anyone to this company? You were NOT looking after my best interests. read more

This is a top-notch Insurance Brokerage Firm in every respect and we would highly recommend anyone shopping for insurance to call Schulte first. Stephen and Angela will help you navigate complexity, give you honest answers, take your call long after you've signed on the dotted line to purchase a policy, and treat you the way you would LIKE to be treated. We have learned that who you purchase insurance from matters, not just a little, but a lot. There is the front end - helping you understand and evaluate options up-front - what you are buying and whether it is the best fit for your needs. Perhaps even more than the front end, having a top-notch broker matters when you need support AFTER the sale! Say you have a claim, a switch to new employer-sponsored insurance (as we did), or any other unanticipated situation. There is a frightening amount of fine print in any insurance policy these days. If you are wading in these waters, get yourself the best, most expert, most professional broker there is. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this insurance company. I have worked with them for the past, well more than a decade, and I have never been unhappy. Every time I call someone is there to help - and they really go to great lengths to make stuff work, and to help make things make sense. When dealing with insurance, it's really hard to make people smile - but I always feel like they care and they're truly trying to make us happy. I rarely deal with ANY business where they go so far out of their way to take care of us.... read more

I'd had a change in my medications going into my second year on Medicare, when I got a call from Ben Losin, my agent at the SCHULTE INSURANCE AGENCY. Ben pointed out to me, by the numbers, that my 2020 new drug plan, with the new medication prescribed to me by my doctor, was going to cost me personally A FORTUNE ! - as in over 20 grand a year! Ben worked closely with my doctor and me, and quickly (because yes, we were coming dangerously close to the December 7 close-out date) found me an alternate medication. And you know what? My 2020 drug costs are now going to be quite a bit LESS than 2019 ! ! My sincere thanks to Ben Losin and the Schulte Insurance Agency - They have their peoples best interests as their #1 priority. I have such high regards and high praise for Schulte Insurance Agency and the team headed by the owner Liz Schulte. I have been a customer of this agency and a personal client of Liz Schulte for over 25 years. She has guided me through the health insurance nightmare changes and each year presented me with the best options to fit my budget and health. She takes the time, as do the other staff she has at her agency to explain the very fine details that are so very important to know and understand each year. I feel I have an advocate looking out for me. There are so many difficult and confusing choices when it comes to medical insurance and needless to say so very important to make the right choice. We have just completed a painless transition to medicare for me and added a supplement that fits my budget and my medial needs. Liz Schulte helped me get health insurance for myself and my kids. I could not believe how easy she made it. I tried to DIY it and it was like slogging through quicksand. She got us covered at a decent rate - it was under $900/mo and we had no deductible. nope, none! So.... to me that was the best plan. She offered options though. Seriously, amazingly nice easy process for the evil task of getting insurance. read more

Kelli and the team at Schulte have been amazing in helping me to find medical coverage after going off my former employer's coverage. Kelli patiently answered my questions and even called CA Covered on my behalf to help me navigate the complicated system. It's clear to me that making sure their clients have adequate or better health insurance coverage at a reasonable rate is their priority -- and that's so admirable in this day and age when scammers abound. read more

I highly recommend Schulte Insurance Agency. Matt Schulte has been responsive and knowledgeable throughout the entire time that I have have interacted with the company. He understands all the intricacies, rules, terminology, and changes that are part and parcel of healthcare insurance these days. In particular, he resolved a major problem that was brought about by an obscure rule change in Medicare. It took him many months to work it out but he never tired in his efforts and concern. I was trying to figure out what went wrong when I tried to get my son a policy on Covered California, and I finally gave up and called one of the agents Covered California listed as approved. Matthew Schulte answered the phone for his associate who had the day off, and said he would be glad to help -- and he did, big time. (Matthew usually handles groups, not individual, but didn't want me to have to wait till his associate returned after the holiday weekend.) By the end of a 20 minute call I had a good policy lined up and he called Blue Shield while I was on the phone to confirm he could get the start date to be June 1 (I called after the 15th of the month - which usually would mean waiting till July.) He also explained what went wrong with Covered California - the salary I guesstimated qualified for Medi-Cal and once Covered Cal puts you in the Medi-Cal category, apparently it's really hard to get out and you can't sign up for a Covered Cal policy, even if you're willing to pay the extra cost & forgo Medical-Cal. But the independent policy Matthew suggested (he gave me 4 to choose from - emailed me the quote WHILE we were on the call) seems totally fine. ALSO, Matthew was just the nicest man and very patient with my questions. I actually enjoyed talking with him. I highly recommend!! read more
