Even if you are just getting a plan on CoveredCA it's in your best interest to have Cynthia and Access Health manage that for you, it doesn't cost you anything extra, and sadly I don't think they make much from it themselves, so there is no reason not to do it in my opinion.

However, it would be unfortunate if his treatment of customers would be tolerated by a reputable company like State Farm. As a matter of fact, his insulting behavior, the only reason forit me to cancel my insurance policy with State Farm without caring if I had to pay more to another company. Following is what I found unbelievable in treatment of a customer by an insurance agent. The office had recorded my mileage on the car something like 24,000 miles (even now my mileage is less than 10,000) and annual driving mileage as something like 12,000, which in fact it is less than 5,000). When I asked him where he got those numbers from, he said he did know and did not care. And was not happy for me to take the car to his office so he could see the number or even to receive a picture of my odometer. Instead, he asked me to gather a number of documents from places that I have repaired my car (My car was a new Tesla and had never been repaired before). And when I responded that his request was not appropriate, he responded: his direct quote: "I am wasting my time with you" and hung up. I was stunned and extremely angry. Never had seen anybody talking to a customer like that. One can imagine the level of my anger from the fact that even after four months (I waited to see if I could digest such a response) I am still angry and that is why I am writing this review. At the end, the anger is not the only reason I write this review. I believe the company should be informed of this type of behavior. I was a customer for the past 40 years, and this made me to leave State Farm.

While shopping for health coverage for my recent college graduate kid and my not yet Medicare covered wife was not so easy, not a lot of agents want to handle individual health coverage. I happened into the Hayek Insurance Agency and all I can say is wow! Dealing with Roger Hayek was nothing short of outstanding. We were about to choose a plan on the Covered CA website, which as it turns out would have resulted in higher out of pocket expenses for us. Mr. Hayek took his time, did his research, ran the numbers, called back when he said he would, and had the exact information we needed tailored to our specific situation with an eye toward future possibilities. He was also able to explain in detail, without getting into the weeds, the reasons behind his approach. He saved us money on our Covered California policy in the long run, and provided us some great financial information on HSAs as well As long as Mr. Hayek is in the insurance business, we shall be his client for any and all of our insurance needs.

As stated we have been on auto pay for 20 years and because of their negligence they messaged me 17 days into january to make the payment(even tho the policy was already cancelled and i was told by her higher up that she shouldve handled the occurence with blue shield instead of emailing me) i lost my policy number with my free 999 refills costing me over $299,700 based on my new co payment in the picture(s) below. I called their office the day repairs were completed because State Farm sent me a notification my insurance was going up $1100 a year and I may lose my good driver discount. The call went to voicemail and no one ever called back, so I called State Farm directly. They put me on a 3 way call with the agent. The call was answered by someone saying they were 'Cal' but I learned in a few minutes this was Kelly, not Cal, because she wanted me to believe I was speaking to the agent. She said she'd have Callie call me back. Four days later, no call. I sent another email 5 days ago, no response. I called again this morning, Callie's on another line...will call me back....I'm filing a complaint today with the CA Dept of Insurance, while waiting for that return call.

She didn't do one single thing for the first 2 months. Every time I contacted her she said she was going to start it but never did. 2.5 months ago she told me I could bind while we were in underwriting. But when I tried to do so she did not return my emails for the next 2.5 months. Then over 2 weeks ago she finally said we were done & ready to pay. Now I've been chasing her for over 2 weeks to try to pay. She refuses to send me a copy of the policy, credit card authorization form or call so I can pay. She said the only way that she would take payment is over the phone. But will not answer the phone or call back for over 2 weeks. Even though it's now been 5 months that I've been trying to start this policy. Her office told me every single day this week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday she would call me but she never did. The last time she called me was June 25 and it's Sept 12 now. I signed up in May but was not done until September and now 2+ weeks later I can't even get her on the phone to pay. Stay far far far far away from this absolute Nightmare and waste of time. Imagine how she would treat you if we were filing a claim, if this is how she treats clients when they're trying to sign up & pay.

My brother had a policy with Mary and so he called her after like 7pm on a SATURDAY night - she insured me on the spot, over the phone! That was about seven years and three cars ago. I'm partial to Allstate because if you get multiple policies (I have renter's and auto) the rates are fantastic - IF you have a good record. Also, you get a bona fide agent. I've had great responses every time I've filed a claim and I know I can give her a ring anytime I have questions or life changes. I've also never met her in person! Not that I'd mind but I've always gotten great results over the phone and I hope I never have to change my policy.
