I used Nick to replace an AC unit at a large property I rent. As an out of state landlord I need someone who is responsive and gets the work done without delay as I am not around to take care of things myself. That is Nick's strength. He is extremely responsive, comes out immediately and stays on top of the project until it is complete. He does not miss appointments and I have never had to chase him on anything. After the cost of the unit came in above the estimate he took it on himself to get me a partial refund from the supplier after I had approved the higher price. Not sure how many people would bother to do that. Was very satisfied. I am in the process of using him again now to replace my hot water tank that failed after a leak. As before, he came out very quickly to locate and repair the leak, and has stayed on top of the project to find me a replacement tank and get it installed quickly. (Unfortunately I can't use the type that Sears always seems to have in stock.) I will update this after the work is completed. read more

I would not trust Nick and his associate to do any HVAC work in my house. Don't waste your time and money on these guys - they'll likely leave you out to dry. Nick and his associate installed the air conditioning units in our main house and an in-law unit during a remodel a few years back (we bought the house after it had been installed). We had to ask them to return to address the AC systems failing frequently - during the summer, the systems would fail once every month or two due to coolant leaks. Most visits they would simply refill the coolant and leave, claiming to be too busy to address the actual problem. A couple times they tried to find leaks, but sure enough, a month or two later we had no cool air. Now after three years and probably 20 interactions with these guys, they refuse to help us any longer - so I've resorted to paying a different company (I'm in almost $2,000) to correct the mistakes made by Nick - in both our front and back house. I'd cut Nick a little more slack, but the new guys we brought in were able to get us up and running, and address the problem on the first try. read more

Working with Nick at AAA Express has been a tremendously satisfying experience! To let you know what was done, I had insulation installed and my entire duct work had to be replaced. If I were to gauge Nick and his team, at the very least I would say OUTSTANDING and worthy of my repeat business! First off, I moved into my home knowing that it had been remodeled. What I assumed was that during a remodel they would take into account insulation as a primary aspect... boy, was I wrong and insulation was almost non-existent in many parts of the attic... so, for a number of years I suffered because how bad could not having insulation be? Well, when I asked to Nick to come out and take a look, originally just to do an HVAC refrigerant pressure check, he took a look at the attic with (his work wife) Danny, and they not only made a number of recommendations, but also suggested on how the work could be done to best accommodate my schedule. So what did this mean to me? I asked for the estimate, requested a timeline for the work to be done, and then I requested a professional opinion on my existing hardware... I got more than I asked for! I was waiting for them to quote me a HVAC replacement (internal cringing...), but he came back and said my unit looks fine and other than normal wear and tear, which he can come back and repair when it does fail, there's no need to even bother for at least a number of years... I had requested a quote from another big name company from one of the big-box-warehouses, and a sales guy came out looked at my system and said it should be replaced, and then proceeded to give me the hard sell... With Nick, never did I feel pressured, and the recommendations he made were always in my best interest and not his... which, in the world we live in today, is a major testament to his professionalism and customer service! After Nick gave me his quote, I actually called around to see if I could get another set of estimates... I called two additional companies and even submitted contact requests online... not a single response from either company... to them, I was just a number and clearly not important enough to even come out for an estimate... Could I have gotten a cheaper price? Maybe. Would I have been happy about the result if I had? With this experience, definitely not. I am extremely happy with the work that was done and would not hesitate to have them back out again! I have some other minor projects that I need some help on, and Nick's number is at the top of my list! read more

Another update: It's been about 5 years since I've needed any help with my A/C unit, but my unit suddenly stopped working. I remember being very happy with AAA Express, so I called them again. They came out quickly and figured out the motor died. This is not entirely surprising since my unit is pretty old and we've been running our A/C nonstop. I asked if it would be better to replace the entire system and they were very honest and said there is no need because everything else looks to be in working order. They replaced the motor, stuck to the quoted price, and now my unit is working again! Thank you again! read more

Now the roof is leaking where the AC unit is that he installed. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any business establishment in my life. He brought different AC units than we agreed upon and then they didn't even work and now my roof is leaking. Horrible experience. BEWARE!!! read more

I called AAA to service my rental property. The owner Nick was very knowledgable and quickly detected some problems with the heaters. In about one hour he and his assistant serviced all the 3 heating units and fixed the problems. He was efficient and charged very reasonably. I will definitely use him again! read more

AAA Express repaired my a/c unit, however, a few weeks later I experienced water damage to my ceiling so I called them again to find out what had happened. They advised the unit was missing a drip pan and I needed to purchase and install a condensate pump which would cost $375.00.If they would have told me on one of the three times they were in the attic, I could have purchased the unit, had it installed and averted the ceiling damage. When I asked how the technician missed it the three times he was in the attic, I was told by the owner of the company, he is just an installer. AAA Express' website claims their technician's "have the know-how in all areas of air-conditioning", but their technician neglected to inform me that I should have a drip pan or install a condensate pump. The owner advised me to contact my homeowner's insurance and they could take care of the ceiling damage. The website states, "Even more than capability, it is the integrity of our people that puts our customers at ease. We have cultivated a relationship with our customers which is based on mutual respect and trust." I trusted they had completely repaired the unit the first time. If needed parts were missing, why not inform me and advise me of my options? I would not have objected to paying for the installation of the condensate pump.
