I was referred to Jeff by his brother from Shawn Lambert HVAC. I had a urine smell reeking from my furnace and ducts and had no idea what it was. When I first called I had no idea they had experience working on mobile homes. Jeff came out and after crawling around underneath (patching holes as he went) he found a plumbing leak which was wetting the insulation causing the stink. I got Jeff's estimate and went with it. Besides that it was reasonable, I felt like Jeff (and his brother) cared about me vs. just doing a job to get paid. Jeff always let me know when he was going to be here, was punctual, easy to be around. He found and blocked a hole some animal dug to get under my place. I never even noticed. I just called them this afternoon when my AC stopped working. I explained a little to the man who answered the phone and he walked me thorough some basic troubleshooting to save me having to pay for a technician to come out. When the simple troubleshooting didn't work, he sent technicians out in LESS THAN 30 MINUTES. I guess they were working close to my house already but I was blown away by how quickly they got here. I had called another local competitor and they told me they could send someone out NEXT MONTH! They fixed the problem very quickly and were super nice. My AC went out last week, and although it wasn't too hot, my upstairs was almost unbearable. I called at 9pm and left a message. Jason, Jeff and the entire tram at HRE are absolutely fantastic! We had a major job removing an original 1920's gravity furnace and asbestos wrapped ducting and replaced it with a modern furnace, A/C unit and all new ducting and they did the job on time and on budget. They also installed an Ecobee smart thermostat for us and put in a new mini split system upstairs. When the ecobee system didn't seem to be working correctly, we phoned Jeff who came back immediately to fix the issue. We could not be happier with the work they did and having AC during the hot weather we've been having. What's worse than going to the auto mechanic? Finding a contractor or skilled tradesmen to do fair and quality work on your house! Especially if you are a women! Yes, I said it! About 6 months ago I had what I thought was a genuine and fair AC professional (I call him SHREK) come and assess my AC unit, bc I thought there were problems. He assured me there was no need for replacement and just recommended a thorough cleaning & tune up (new fluids,etc). Also, rather than cleaning out my current air ducts, he suggested replacing a portion of them to optimize my unit! He swore it would last me another 5-10years. All this was originally at a fair price. This seemed reasonable, especially after he saved me from having to get a brand new system. After 2 weeks of him working (allegedly daily), the costs continued to increase, not to mention the absolute mess he left daily! Ultimately, I spent close to $2k, spent at least an hour everyday after work cleaning up his mess and I still didn't have a completed job! A friend helped to clean up the disaster SHREK created, and finished in less then 1 day; he also said I was totally ripped off and will be lucky to make it to next year without a new system. In the peak of summer heat- my AC completely broke! I was devastated, pissed, sweaty, stinky and sleep deprived! An absolute peach, if u sense my sarcasm! My friend helped me get multiple quotes and lastly found HRE on Yelp. Jeff came the next day to assess the situation and quoted us a significantly lower price than the 8-10 other quotes we received. Almost too good to be true! Jeff arrived for the job less then 48hrs later, ON TIME and moved at warp speed! My house was cool within 24hrs. I was already happy! He replaced about 85% of my duct work and I got a new AC unit and furnace. Job was completed in 3 days. He was always on time, professional and kept my house clean! In addition, he went above and beyond and took my dog out to use the restroom, gave her water, a bit of attention and made sure she was safe from any nasty insulation and debri. On a scale of 1-5, I give him a 10! He absolutely rocked! Wish I had found him long before SHREK! Jeff is patient, kind and thorough! He even helped to explain the specifics of what he did and why! I even received follow up from him to make sure I was still staying "cool" and happy with his work! It's been a few months since he worked at my house and I have not had a single problem! I've referred him to everyone I know looking to find a fair, professional skilled worker! If you are reading this review, don't hesitate to contact him! Our A/C stopped working on Sunday 7/24, waited till Monday to call around to see if anyone would come out during the recent heat (I was expecting a wait time of weeks), got one company to set an appointment for Friday and 4 others never called back. Mid day I decided to try a few more and called HRE. Spoke to Jason (really nice guy and helpful), said there was a chance he could send someone but it would be after 5:30 PM or later depending when the other job was finished. No problem, I would be around. I described what was happening with our AC, said it sounded like a capacitor? and that it would be a fairly easy fix that they could handle as they typically carry them on the truck. Around 6 PM got a call from Jeff saying that he would be there in about 10 minutes, again no problem. Jeff showed up (another nice guy), took a look inside and said the capacitor? was bad and it was a usual thing. Everything else looked good, got the part installed and cool air again! Jeff was great, I asked a whole bunch of questions and he was very knowledgable. It was the end of the day and I know these guys work in some pretty horrible places and he was tired but he was totally cool and polite. Great price too, no after hours charge or anything!
