To give some clarity on its journey, I had 2 chairs, a 100-year-old tea set and some fragile wall oddly shaped art that all went on one pallet. The pallet according to the tracking was transferred about 6 times on other trucks to make it here so it was bumped around countless times in terminals being loaded and unloaded. All arrived with 0 scratches, dents and fully intact. No better feeling then unpacking everything and seeing it in the condition I sent it in.

With a U-Haul or Penske, you'd have to unload it into storage if you aren't ready, only to have to reload. To be fair, the movers packed everything carefully, and nothing was damaged. The office staff also communicated well whenever I called. The problem was the amount of time it took. The move ended up taking 7 hours, which I simply cannot understand. Five hours into the job, the crew was still packing, so I called the office to express my concerns. Their explanation was that my apartment had three flights of stairs. While I understand that stairs add time, I don't believe they justify turning what should have been a relatively small move into a seven-hour job. Even accounting for the stairs, I would have expected 4 hours, maybe 5 at the absolute most. Instead, I ended up paying around $1,600 for a move that covered just one mile. I walked away feeling like the job took much longer than it should have and that I was being billed for unnecessary time. If you're considering EcoMovers LV, be aware that this was my experience. Their Customer Care and Delivery Teams were fantastic, including Aaron (who picked up my Zippy Shell container at the destination). I have moved items from the West Coast to East Coast and back several times over the years. It is not easy moving a lot of items over a long distance without paying an arm and a leg or losing/breaking things. Zippy Shell gave me confidence that my belongings would arrive without issue (and it did). I initially signed a contract with a full, comprehensive moving service, but after hours wasted on multiple phone calls/no-shows, I ended up cancelling the service due to lack of reliability and trustworthiness from their staff. I then got in-person estimates from the six companies I felt the best about, ending a truly exhausting due-diligence process. And while that all may sound excessive to anyone who actually reads this, I was REALLY truly worried I was going to get screwed over in some way. After all, this was a BIG cross-country move with a TON of stuff. This is also an industry that's notorious for fast-talkers, predatory bait-and-switch tactics, and unscrupulous methods that really screw people over with last-second price swings. In the end, though, I ended up choosing Move4Less and it wasn't really a close race. While their bid wasn't necessarily the lowest, it was HANDS DOWN the lowest of the companies I trusted. And I 100% believe I made the best choice in the end. I'll tell you one thing I learned during this whole process -- there are TON of slimy sales people and slimy companies in the moving truck business. They'll do anything to get a signed contract. ANYTHING. Everyone I dealt with and worked with at Move4Less, though, honestly came off as polite, professional, genuine, straightforward, and trustworthy -- especially Maggie Kolsar in sales and Krystin the estimator. They were both really great and truly helped seal the deal with me. Juan Hernandez and the guys who did the actual move were also exceptional. Sure, a couple minor things got broken or roughed up along the way, but that's to be expected in a 1,000-mile move. I'm a reasonable and rational customer. It simply was never delivered and remains on their equipment or in their facility somewhere. I notified the company immediately about the missing piece, but there has been zero effort on their part to hold their team accountable, audit the trucks, search the warehouse, or attempt to locate and return it. I was simply given the link to fill out the claim, which I finally had time to do recently amid the general chaos of moving. The artwork was a custom-framed piece from Hobby Lobby featuring a specialized wood frame and custom matting, which cost nearly $200 to put together. It went with a similar style work of art with the same framing/glass/matte-ing, that now, tbh, just looks weird without the mate. I'm not sure how the four wrapped up framed/glass pieces would have been separated from one another since they were all leaned up against the wall together at my old apartment. While the contract technically limits their liability to a few dollars based strictly on the weight of the item, a complete failure to deliver my property--combined with a total lack of oversight and effort to look for it--is completely unacceptable. I am writing this in good conscience to warn future customers about their lack of basic verification processes, and to encourage management to step up, look for my property, or offer a fair gesture to resolve a loss that was entirely preventable.
