Most impressive was what that rather than simply proceeding with a more expensive multi-part replacement, the technician did additional research, came back with a better solution, and was able to repair the existing board. That eliminated the need for one of the expensive replacement parts, got the freezer working in hours instead of days, and cut the repair cost. The freezer is now working exactly as it should. I feel like it is harder than ever to find service providers who are true professionals that would do right by the customer over taking an easy way to charge more. It takes much more effort (not to mention integrity) to keep working on the problem and find a less expensive solution for the customer. ED has been truly professional in this way multiple times now. We will absolutely use them again.

I never thought that appliance repair would be so rewarding. But, with "planned obsolescence"…read moremaking newer appliances fail sooner and sooner throughout time, I wanted to give it a shot. I had TWO appliances go out - a non-smart, "old school", plain jane GE fridge, and a Whirlpool washing machine that we love. The fridge and freezer had suddenly stopped remaining cold enough for safe food storage. Serge had the fridge back up with a new defrost heater element module, and it has been going steady for weeks, now. I suspect we may get another 12 years out of this beast. Remarkably, the ice maker is also working like new, again. I guess when that element is going out, it affects much in the whole unit, with the way they circulate the air in these things. Serge explained this very well to me and I appreciate that transfer of knowledge more than anything else. The washer required a new control board and pump. This is in the garage, and Serge was able to determine that rats may have gotten in at some point, doing their chewing thang, and the wires shorted, blowing the pump, eventually blowing the controller. We have since been fostering some feral cats, and rats have been a rare sight, now. Happy to have it repaired. The entire time, I felt in-the-loop. Everything was explained in perfect detail for my level of understanding. Serge took time to hop on his phone and seek alternatives to offer me choices in paths to take. Honest communication at every step. Poor Vera. No one mentions Vera. VERA ROCKS! She was in a happy mood for every call. She took time to go between Serge and myself, if she was unsure about an answer. She never made anything up when she did not know the answer. I always felt in good hands dealing with Vera. Both of these people are good, honest, hard-working people and I hope you will consider Lucid Appliance Repair the next time you are faced with a failing "loved one", instead of buying deeper into the overly capitalist chain of breaking/buying/breaking/buying. Serge is the appliance doctor (and Vera the nurse) that you need.

I was assigned Texas True Appliance Repair through Frigidaire for a scheduled service appointment…read more The appointment window passed without a technician arriving and without any communication regarding a delay or cancellation. At 3:52 PM, after receiving no call or update, I contacted Frigidaire because it had become clear that no one was going to show up. During that conversation, I was told Texas True Appliance Repair had called and texted me. The only communication I received was the original appointment confirmation text. There were no missed calls, voicemails, or additional messages. No service was performed, and my time was wasted waiting for an appointment that never occurred. I hope Electrolux and Frigidaire reevaluate their partnership with this service provider, as this experience fell well short of reasonable customer service expectations.

They buy cheap parts on Amazon for $30 and then charge customers $300 for the same repair…read more Extremely overpriced for the quality of work and materials used. I later found out the replacement parts were low-quality generic items anyone could order online for a fraction of the price. The communication was poor, the transparency was nonexistent, and the whole experience felt dishonest. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least use premium parts and provide professional service. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for fair pricing or trustworthy repairs. Make sure to always ask for the exact brand/model of the parts they plan to install and compare the prices yourself before agreeing to the job.

He…read morecame out, took a look for five minutes, gave me the invoice to pay him for a service charge and said he would come back and repair the hinge once he got the part. I waited... and waited... It took a month to hear back, but I finally got a text with a date.... No phone call, just a text. No status update, just a text saying when he would show up to fix my refrigerator. He comes when I'm at work, so my wife had to deal with the install. He worked for around 5 minutes and come to find out, instead of installing a new hinge, he simply drops a screw in the hinge hole and tells my wife that it's the correct fix. I've attached a video of his repair that he charged me a total of $325 for. I can't understand how any business would ever do something so shady and unprofessional. Now I'm out of $320, and my door is worse than when he showed up. Very unprofessional and sneaky. What a dissapointment.

As always, the call was professional, the staff friendly and I was able to land an appoint for the next day, despite it being the day before Thanksgiving. Fast forward to Wednesday, November 27th. My appointment was to be between 3:00 and 3:30 but while at work, I receive a call coming in a little after 1pm. The technician advised that he was in route to my home. YIKES! But you're "TWO" hours early. The tech advised and I quote; You are my last customer for today. I can do you today or it will be Monday before I get back out. I advised him that I could not wait until Monday, that is not what I was told but there is someone at my home now, waiting for me. I instructed him to call me after he looks at the appliance and advised him that "I" would be the one paying him and would l=give him a credit card over the phone, if that was okay. He said fine. After waiting, I called the person at my home to see if the tech showed up; I was told yes and that he was gone. Gone? Yes, he repaired it and left. Did he tell you what was wrong, how much it would cost? The response was; no. The technician repaired my machine without advising me of what was wrong or how much it would cost. He also did not follow up with me for payment-NOTHING. I receive a call on yesterday to advise me of what I owe. Mr. Appliance is NOW wanting to complete the service and settle up! I did call them back on yesterday, after work but received their voice mail. I will call again today and BOY do I have an earful for them. I will also call the BBB. Who does this !!!! ????
