We have a small vacation home in Johnson City that we are only able to visit a few times a year. We were having trouble with our HVAC on one trip and called for service. They came right out and inspected everything. Unfortunately for us, it was determined that we needed to have the entire system replaced. We met them down there a few weeks later (we live 6 hours away), and they were there as scheduled for the installation, and were in and out in no time. These guys are amazing! Moved into a new house in 2022 and looks like my AC coils were contaminated at install. The original installer ghosted me, and I had a house filled with a sour smell - they told me what was going on and what my best options were, and I appreciated the honesty. After finally getting the builder's installer to do something other than duck my calls, I had them come and inspect the system, do the maintenance, and a few more issues were found I hadn't known about. They do great maintenance and keep me informed, and really care if the system is performing the way it should. Can't express how grateful I am for the expertise! Highly recommend. read more

I had called another air conditioning company in the area who had worked on our AC units for several years. I told them them that thermostat was broken and not allowing us to change the temperature. They refused to come out and said that I needed to buy a new AC. After arguing with me about how it was my fault, I hung up and began looking for another company. I guess some people take their customers for granted. That's when I called AAA Air Control. Not only did they come out 5 minutes before five on the Friday before July 4th weekend, they helped with the thermostat and in turn cooled the entire house. Our call was not an emergency; the unit was working, but the damper controls were not functioning properly, so definitely sub-optimal. AAA was able to send a technician out almost immediately. The young man that came to the house to find out what was wrong with my air conditioner. He was the best he knew exactly what was wrong, they were a reasonable price and I had a few questions about my thermostat I couldn't figure out how to work my thermostat he even changed my filters for me because I couldn't get up on a ladder. I would've had to hired someone to change them for me and he did it with no problems. He was very helpful young man I don't think I'd have any other company coming work at my air conditioner. if you need a company to look at your air conditioner, I recommend them because they are great. read more

Excellent customer service from this company. Never had a problem and they go out of their way to help anyone. Saw one bad review on here recently and clearly they are not familiar with this company or had a bad miscommunication. Both John and Ray excel at customer service and are first class people. They are honest and hard working folks. We have used them many years now and sometimes called them when we were in a pinch. I highly recommend them to you. This is a family business. I am highly confident in their ability. We have had two new systems installed and never had a problem. They have also done routine check ups on all units. Communication has been good and they have always met or exceeded expectations. You will be hard pressed to find a better service in the Hill Country. read more

Great company that is courteous and professional. We had significant difficulty getting any service company to provide an a/c unit maintenance inspection however AAA stepped up with a flexible schedule and comprehensive inspection. Turns out the initial install for the builder missed a step. Had AAA not found this we could have overtaxed the unit during this heat wave. Great guys. read more

I was staying with my parents last week in Jonestown when the air conditioner stopped functioning. We had set the thermostat for 74 but the temperature had risen to 82; air was blowing out of the vents, but it wasn't cool. My parents had just replaced a major part in their AC unit in May and paid over $1000, so they were dismayed to find that something else could be wrong. It was around midnight, and we were all panicked, thinking we would have to sleep in 90+ degree temperatures inside the house, until a repair could be performed in the morning. They called their usual local repair company, hoping to leave a message, but the recording mentioned that the folks at that company were on vacation. We called both numbers that the recording suggested, with no success. Now we were really in a panic. My father opened the yellow pages in the phone book, and we found a list of repair companies that specialized in the specific Trane brand of AC units. I called the first company and left a message, then called the second company, which is AAA Air Control. to my surprise, a person answered, despite the lateness of the hour! Ray Hawkins to the rescue! He asked a few questions, and then said he and his son would be on the way from Marble Falls and arrive within the hour. We were so relieved. Within 45 minutes they arrived, identified the issue as a blown capacitor, and said they had the new part on their truck! They were able to replace it quickly, and within a couple hours the house was cooling back down into the 70s. The total cost of repair was approximately $300, a fair price for their coming out in the middle of the night. Because of Ray's responsiveness and willingness to service our AC at any hour, we were able to sleep soundly and begin our morning the next day, at our best! We will always be grateful for this quick and easy repair! read more

Of course the air conditioning malfunction happens on the hottest weekend of this crazy year. It is also supposed to be another record breaking hot day. This is a new home and still under warranty. Call in to home warranty place and they say they put in the request for service but it could take up to 24 hours. I just got out of hospital for major surgery and this is just miserable. However, John from AAA Air Control- out of Marble Falls calls and my phone thinks it's a spam call and doesn't let it ring through. However, John drove over to ring the door bell and check on us in person on a Sunday!!! John also has the part! John also waits til the air conditioning temp starts to show working!!! I love the detail to service and how polite and kind John was to us. I highly recommend John and his family business AAAAir Control. Great work! read more

Appreciated AAA's quick response but their troubleshooting didn't properly identify the issue and we had the same problem within hours of the technician leaving. Unfortunately they would not answer our calls at that point, so we had to call another company. This cost us 8 times as much what we paid them originally as well as inconvenienced our guests significantly. When AAA did return our call the next morning, they were not open to the fact that they may have made a mistake despite telling them that what was ultimately found and fixed explained exactly what happened when they were on site. Do not recommend using them. read more

AAA came out today, Nov 15 after spending time with us yesterday on the phone Nov 14 going over everything and making empty promises of having us back up and out of the cold. They seem genuine until today, when the owner comes out and immediately gives every excuse in the book to not to do the job... literally "where to park the truck" how about in the parking lot? "Where's the unit, I have to drag all my stuff on a rope up the roof" and then decides to upcharges $500 to get on the roof (knowing yesterday when quoting $3200 for parts/labor/tax included and that the unit was on the roof and said no more than that), after him seeing my annoyance, we agreed to $250 and for him to go get a ladder (when i did technician work i drove with a 16ft, 26ft and a 36ft ladder, you know, ready for any job type deal) after he leaves he then calls me says "that it is too dangerous and I am not getting on that wet roof, I don't know what to tell you".... this is inhumane, lazy and you need to sell your business because obviously your outdated, you left my family in the cold knowing we have been since Nov 12. Ive always wondered why people bash a lot of our local businesses , this is why. Because they can go through a Corporate Business and be treated like a human, despite it being Illegitimate or not and they definitely will never leave a resident in the cold! Just flat out lazy, non-driven, and unprofessional and i wouldn't recommend this company to not even Satan himself! Horrible horrible people. read more
