We called Marshall's taxi the day before our flight to book a taxi when we land. He asked us to call before we board the plane, which we did. When we landed, we called him again, and he decided to flake on us. He just said call someone else and hung up. He is a loser, a flake, and can't be trusted if you need to have a reliable transportation waiting for you. We had an appointment that we needed to get to and he made us late for that, and he had no remorse and no regard for our schedule. Don't ever use this taxi company! read more

Really enjoyed our time today. My brother, my sister-in-law, and I, the lot of us needed a ride to the airport. Taxi appeared right on time. In moments we were acting like family..where we were going, where his children went to school, all kinds of stuffs. Uber and Lyft are notoriously unreliable (to the point of not even showing up). They were extremely accommodating as I called them after hours to arrange an airport pickup when my original ride fell through. They showed up early (4:30 am) and were great helping me get to the airport for my flight. They were friendly and I am so grateful they took my call the night before. Marshall picked us up up in less than a 1/2 hour after our call. We were FAR out of town where many drivers won't go. We appreciate that he said yes and helped us out today. He was friendly and shared stories of the history of Hawaii. He kept it very real and was a pleasure to get a ride from. He even waited to make sure we didn't have trouble getting our rental car because we told him we couldn't find our wallet. He was there for us if we needed another ride. We were returning from mainland, I had called Marshall's the day before the flight to reserve with him for 10:45 pm in Hilo. He said call him before we take off, which I did the next day. He tells new he's not coming and to call someone else. He flaked last minute before we took off. I called Stan's Taxi who took care of us. read more

I used AA Marshall's last month and I was so impressed! Joanne is one of the most nicest people that I've ever met! I was having surgery and last minute (day before surgery) had to order a taxi. R&L quoted me $35 dollars more than AA, so I decided to go with AA. Joanne went above and beyond! She even picked up my food that I prepaid from a restaurant and had it ready for me when I was discharged from the hospital. I felt so terrible that I got out of surgery a couple of hours after they told me that I would, but Joanne was there waiting for me, greeting me with a smile, warmth, and kind energy and conversation. She even had a bottle of cold water for me in case I was thirsty after surgery. So sweet and thoughtful! I am so grateful! She really turned a crappy situation (not having a ride after surgery) into such a wonderful experience. I gave her a nice tip, but still felt like I didn't give her nearly as much as she deserved for everything she did for me. Thank you so much Joanne! You are so wonderful! Marshall was awesome! Called ahead of time while in Oahu to request for a pick up at Hilo Airport. He asked for my flight number and requested I call him to let him know I was boarding. When I landed I called him to let him know I was in Hilo now. He let me know he was there already and where to locate him when I got out to the baggage claim area. My destination was all though way in Keaau/Pahoa to for surprise family visit whole ride we talked story and laughed. He was genuinely humble. Very sweet, older gentleman! Called the night before to arrange a pick-up at Hilo airport for a flight that arrived at 8:35am. He asked that we call him before boarding so he could meet us at the airport. When we called as we were boarding, he asked to call him again when we land so he could direct us to where he was parked. He had the door opened for us before we arrived. Super quick and easy! The ride was about $13 from the airport to Hilo Hawaiian. I will definitely choose him again when we do come back. read more

I really recommend to take Marshall's Taxi form/to Hilo airport and around Hilo region also especially if you want to take part in Hawaii Volcanoes Helicopter Tours from Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, Paradise Helicopters or Safari Helicopter Tours and be in time. The driver is local Hawaiian and with him in comfortable driving so nice to talk about real life of Hawaii so hidden from eyes of regular tourists and "guys from continent". Always call you back to confirm arrival and come in time without delays. We were so lucky that the cab that was flagged for us at the airport was Marshall's! I had just had calf surgery and was not too mobile, so we ended up calling him a number of times during our stay, and he is just the coolest, most down-to-earth gentleman you can imagine. He grew up in Hilo and knows so many little details about things and was so generous with his knowledge. I have used Marshall several times now and every time has been ***** service. He is 100% dependable for on-time pick up. Yesterday , he picked me up at the hospital after surgery and helped me with several stops to get post op supplies like a walker at Longs and a brace from an orthopedic supply vendor.
