This zipline must have the most beautiful views near Hilo and Reed and Kanani were exceptional guides allowing us to try fruit direct from the tree and capturing our photos for happy memories! Also included were a pretty botanical garden and maze to challenge you. :) It was an awesome experience and the whole crew is super knowledgeable and friendly!

The waterfall after a drought was still spectacular

Just a 15 minute drive from Hilo on the Big Island, this place is fantastic! They had 8 ziplines that progressively got us to use more skills that were "faster, longer, better" all leading up to the giant one over the gorge. We had two guides (Gavin & Orion) who were great, showing us plants of things we use in our kitchens once they're processed and some special flowering trees. Gavin had non-stop jokes that had the whole group laughing most of the way. I felt I was in good hands the entire time. We zipped over a stream, red jade flowers, African tulip trees, and a gorge with an incredible waterfall. After the zip lining we were able to tour the private lands including a nature walk with all kinds of trees and plants along with labels that have QR codes to give more info. This path led us to a hedge maze that I legit got lost in, ha! Hilo's been in a bit of a drought so the waterfalls and streams would be a lot bigger if we went after it's been raining. I'd definitely do it again!

Justin and crew were the best tour guides, gave us the true Hawaiian hospitality. Part of the reason why our experience was a 5 star was because of him, we learned so much about the culture. Every line had something beautiful to enjoy and appreciate from Mother Nature. Very family friendly, we had such an amazing experience and it was the best time, so much fun! Thank you!!!! 10/10 must do!

This is a review I am reluctant to leave. This amazing place I would like to keep only for my wife and me! It is on some of the most beautiful grounds in the world. The property has unbelievable views of the ocean and waterfalls. It has a rainbow eucalyptus area that is beyond belief! Want adventure, they have zip lining. My wife and I felt like we were the only people on the entire property! Stunning!!!!!

Mahalo Nui Loa Reed, Myra, and Scott! We opted for the repel tour and it was such an exciting experience. The location was beautiful from the waterfall to the botanical garden. The funny and supportive guides made the whole experience well above 5 stars. Special shout out to Michelle at the front desk for being so kind and welcoming. See you next time!

Amazing zip lining experience 30 minutes north of Hilo. We booked last minute but had a wonderful time, thanks to our experienced and fun guides - Ms. Kanani and Mr. Scott - and Mr. Justin, who was our driver. Over the course of 90 minutes, the eight of us - the two guides, our family of four, and a father and four year-old son (who were return customers!) - did a total of 9 zip lines and walked over a rickety suspension bridge. We slowly built up our skill and confidence, enjoying each others company, eating fruit we picked along the route (like guavas), and learned about native flora (like elephant apples, which we dropped into the water while zip lining!) and fauna we spotted along the way, like feral pigs, and a baby mongoose! I white knuckled the first few zip lines while my wife and daughters breezed through, but was able to nail the finale, an exhilarating mile long zip over a deep gorge with a gorgeous waterfall! Memorable experience! Highly recommended!!

This zipline experience was really incredible. What struck me the most is the professional attitude we received from our guides. They know how to have fun while adhering to a strict code of safety standards. Elyse, Lish and AJ really are top of the line instructors and are very personable. From outfitting us with the proper harness setups, explaining proper safety protocols and clarity of instructions, these three really make ziplining a fun and secure experience. Not to mention how strong they must be from pushing us up and controlling the brake lines. Flying through the treetops and across the canyons, waterfalls, the ultimate bird's eye view, ziplining is something that needs to be experienced to truly appreciated. We're here in the tropics from the mainland flying through a Dr. Suess wonderland of plants and assorted vegetation.... The scenery here is awesome as well. Fantastic views and beautiful tropical greenery. I enjoyed picking my own starfruit, love the stuff! Way to go folks! Mahalo for the memories, I hope to return!

Here we are zipping over the waterfall.

The location is remote and beautiful. We started out with short easy zips and graduated to .50 mile with waterfall view. 8 zips total. Our guides were terrific! All very friendly and patient and John and Emma shared fun facts about the nature we were experiencing along the way. Shout out to John, Emma and Mira for providing a fun and safe adventure!

To visit the garden is $10 per person and there are free parking spots cross street from the shop (where you can pay and get map for the garden). Maybe I didn't come at right time, I arrived big island couple days after storm passed by, so I don't see a lot flowers in the garden, just pretty green. The waterfall you can drive a the way up to waterfall parking lot, however, from the parking lot you can only see partial waterfall. I guess most people here is to join the zip line tour, seems like the trail of zip line, you will have a better view of the waterfall.

The zip line was AMAZING!! Emma and Olivia were our guides and were so very friendly, encouraging, knowledgable, and funny. We were lucky enough to only have four in our group and let me tell you, small group is the way to go!!! The zip lines were fun, the area we explored was AMAZING, and the staff was top notch. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Big Island and wanting a zip line adventure. Also, photos were included in the price!! We also ventured through the beautiful gardens and the maze. What a beautiful place!!!!

I had such a blast! My tour guides were Lish and Scott, and Kelsey as the driver, and they were such fantastic people - incredibly friendly and constantly sharing knowledge and cracking jokes! This was my first time zip lining, and they made me feel safe and comfortable the entire time! It was super easy! There was not a single moment of fear or regret - not even when I got stuck on the last line and had to be rescued. The views were amazing and zip lining was so much fun! It was made even more fun by our wonderful guides. I can't even express how awesome and fun they are! They took pictures of us on the zip lines and sent them to us, as well as suggested photo ops, which I really appreciate, because my friend's phone broke on the last day of our Hawaii trip and we lost some of our pictures from the trip. Highly recommend for everyone!

A beautiful day to zipline! We had a fun, perfect size group. 7 lines in about 2 hours. Cant recommend this zipline enough! Thank you to John and Aj, they made us have a memorable and informational time. They knew a lot and made us feel safe, don't fire them pls lol.

    Can't beat this view!

We flew past so many people on regular bikes who looked at us with jealous and envy as we used minimal effort and got there much faster. The guys who run the company are also INCREDIBLY nice and down to earth. Bikes are in excellent condition, and they give you backpacks, headlamps, and water. Would 100% use this company again.

It is recommended that you wear long pants (but some did it in shorts) and requires that you have shoes that cover your toes (no water shoes or sandals). I did it in work out legging and sneakers and my boyfriend did it in jeans and hiking boots. We were both fine and neither of our shoes melted though at one point, his feet got really hot bc I made him stand by the lava for so long for a picture. Bring a good amount of water or your camelback and a hoodie bc it was cold in the morning. They provide you with good headlamps and flashlights since you are hiking in the dark. We were in a group of 12 or so and we loaded up in their nice van and drove out to start our hike. They take you as far as you can go on the road (where people would be otherwise renting bikes or walking) so it saves you some walking. From there, it's just up the lava you go. It was nice that the tour guide told us to take a look at the lava rocks and the texture which was glass like. Basically a warning to tell you don't slip and fall bc this stuff might hurt you. As we walked, it sounded like glass shards breaking under us and we walked towards orange glows up the mountain. Eventually we made it while it was still dark and it was crazy you could feel the heat as you got close to the lava. We spent an hour or so taking pictures of and with the lava and relocating to a few other areas with lava as it eventually got light. We hiked back down the same way and ended around 8:30am. Highly recommend this company as they do a good job making everyone feel safe and we completed the hike at a nice pace. They do not allow kids under 12 and it's probably not recommended for anyone over 50. There are parts where you might have to hop down or take a big step up or down and keep your balance. Our group did a good job and most were in their 20's and 30's and maybe one brave solo hiker in her 40's. Super worth it to wake up early and experience this in Hawaii!

We did the sunrise tour, which I would highly recommend. You get to the flow while it's still dark and can watch the sunrise out of the ocean which is another awesome aspect. Parts of the flow were breaking away while we were out there causing new patterns of flowing lava, it's just ever changing the entire time you're watching. A bonus was while on the way back, we came upon a pod of bottle nose dolphins and they swam along with us for awhile. No sooner we left those to continue to the dock, we came up on a pod of spinner dolphins. We absolutely recommend this and it is worth every single penny. Looking forward to doing this again next time we're on the island

Maui Easy Riders was a SUPERB choice!! Booking with the owner Billy was great as he prepared me for our adventure over the phone. The morning of the excursion, we met our guides, Charlotte and Jon, who proved to be an absolute hoot! They alieved any anxiety and brought some great history lessons as we trekked up the mountain. My wife and I were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary and the last time we were in Hawaii was for our honeymoon, 38 years prior. Charlotte and Jon made us feel special. Unlike many other companies, Maui Easy Riders only allows 6 people per session, so it was easy to get to know your fellow travelers and we became close friends in a very short time. They have a specially built cruiser bike that has a huge, extremely comfortable seat and and massive disc brakes for both wide tires. The ride is exceptional and you feel very much in control. There is no "push" for you to speed down the mountain, and until everyone was comfortable with their "sled", the downhill journey was held at your own pace. The van follows you down the mountain and runs interference for cars that might be coming up to pressure you. No worries or anxiety here. If you need anything at all, they came prepared to assist you: Rain gear, pants, windbreakers, snacks, water and Gatorade. At any time, you could have access to the stuff you might of brought in the van. We made several stops to take pictures and view the landscape and learn of areas to be aware of as they might be coming up. Charlotte was a great leader, guiding us with hand motions and instructions for our safety. She and Jon communicated with walkie-talkies to navigate the traffic and the care of the riders. We all shared some great stories as we learned all about the route and history of Maui. I can't recommend Maui Easy Riders enough. Their care and concern for your safety and adventurous spirit made our trip extremely enjoyable. The 6 of us riders enjoyed the journey so much, we all had lunch together, laughing and sharing more antics from the excursion. Don't pass up YOUR experience!! Everyone in the tour parked their car in the town of Paia and were picked up by Billy and another individual (forgot his name) in the Maui Easy Rider van. Once we arrived at Haleakala, it was a bit chilly and misty (morning tour), so bring a jacket. You can store you personal items in the van, so don't worry about carrying a lot things. Billy took the time to ensure the helmet and bikes were a good match for our head size and body height. After going over the safety rules, Billy led the group with his own bike while the helper drove the van in the back blocking passing cars to create a safe ride for us. The ride itself was amazing. It was about a 25 mile bike ride ( ~2 hours), but it was really casual and smooth. It was mostly downhill so majority of the time was spent being in awe with the surrounding environment. We passed by ranches, farms, towns, and residential areas. You go at your own pace, so there's no pressure to go with the group. If you're desiring a fast and challenging ride, then you move up in the line. And if you're casual and want to take it slow, you can stay in the back. The van will always be in the back blocking cars, so you're safe. Just enjoy. We also made frequent breaks to rest and take photos. We took couple photos at scenic places and even took a photo with a chameleon. To summarize, this was one of the best way to experience this area of Maui. Highly, highly recommend Maui Easy Riders
