This has bed. Our third time back in 3 years and our guides Kiana and Saire were great! Every single time has been different experience with the same outcome, pure excitement! Highly recommend!

We had a great time. This was the best zip lining we've ever done & we have gone all over the world. The scenery is great. The lines are so fun. Going over the waterfalls was pure magic. The staff is professional yet friendly. You feel safe & secure. The suspension bridge was an added bonus. My only request would be to have smaller groups. We were in a group of almost 20. Having guys stationed at every line would make it a lot smoother rather than going in The group of 20 at a time. Otherwise it was beyond what we expected. The property has so much to offer & we were pleasantly surprised to get to explore so much. Thanks for a memorable experience.

Hands down the best experience zip lining I have ever had. Professional, safe, kind and friendly. Now let's talk about the views. Waterfalls, ocean, heaven tree forest, and rolling green hills. I don't know how anyone could come to Hawaii and not have this experience. Thank you to this facility for providing everything you could ask for. Good food, clean facilities and perfectly maintained property and so much more. I didn't want to add too many photos and give away the breathtaking surprise.

Ready to depart for our adventure!

An exhilarating experience that tops off everything else we've done. Together with the adrenaline rush of driving over the rugged terrain and not knowing exactly how we're going to land all tires made me feel like a stuntman as our guide closely stayed by. You can dictate your level of excitement. We wanted high active experience and we received that and more. So awesome even the mud that pasted on my teeth from uncontrolled smiling tasted great! All our guides were top awesome too showing us the land and what it has to offer. You gotta try this! At least...twice. Go Umauma!!!

THE BEST ZIPLINE ON THE ISLAND HANDS DOWN! A 10/10 experience for anyone looking for a fun and thrilling adventure. The 9 zips were epic (my favorites were zips 2 & 4). Shoutout to all the guides who made our experience so memorable. We loved the dual zips. We also added the dip which topped the day for us. They provided us food, chairs, paddle boards, and kayaks. Highly recommend Umauma if you wanna have a great time. Will be back soon!

We did the 9 zip line tour and it was awesome! beautiful scenery, fun zip line course, and the tour guides were great! Highly recommend!

A little rain couldn't ruin our ride!

Great ride!!! Even the rain couldn't stop a good time! Our tour guides were wonderful.

Canceled on us less than 24 hours before the ATV experience. Understandable but still not great.

Ask the Community - The Umauma Experience

Are there lockers to store our personal belongings? Or is a Fanny pack recommended?

You just leave your stuff in your car, lock it and you leave your key in a basket with them. You could bring a fanny pack. There is a snack and water break halfway with bathrooms. They give you a poncho in case of rain. It was a lot of fun!

I had Bailey as my horse & she was my first ever horse to ride, she made it very easy going. My siblings and I really loved this experience and Jaime was a perfect guide. He provided a lot of history & knowledge of the aina, it was nice to get someone local to take care of us. It so worth the time & price, considering that we got to go down to a secluded river that falls from Mauna Kea (it was cold but refreshing) in the middle of the tour. After doing a lot of research I found Wailea Horseback Adventures and decided to give it a go. It sounded great with the horseback to the waterfall. The place wasn't terribly difficult to find. Apple Maps took us right there. They had nice bathrooms if you needed to change or anything. They are co-located with the zip lining activities if you want to do both while you're there. What sounded great to me was riding to the waterfalls. The horse riding seemed incredibly minimal. Very short right to the falls. Then some treacherous stairs down to the falls. You get 45 minutes to swim, sit, do whatever at the waterfall. Then you ride a very short ride back. They nonstop and take photos for everyone which I thought was a nice touch. I felt like too much time was wasted on talking about how to ride horses and use neck reigns than actual riding. Then obviously the waterfall time. I would've liked to do more riding and see more.

Great experience, definitely recommended!…read more EDIT: I forgot to add that they rescue a lot of their horses. They make sure they are rider ready for sure, but this fact alone was worth a lot to me. The fact the experience was awesome regardless was icing on the cake. We booked a jungle ride for 2 at the last minute (a couple of days before) after another local place cancelled our online booking on us. I am so glad that happened, because we had a great time. The owner and her assistant guide were able to accommodate us on a Sunday for a private ride for the two of us. We were perfectly matched based on my more experience with riding, and my husband's very beginner ability. They each talked to us about the surrounding farms we were riding through, and the different plants, trees, animals, etc. around us, and their origins. They were very knowledgeable about all of this, as well as riding. We were even able to pick some fruit from one of the farm's trees (with permission from the farmer of course!) Our guide took a bunch of photos of us as we went (wasn't obtrusive though), and texted them to me right after our ride, ready for facebook upload :-) I always try to unsuccessfully take photos while riding so this was a treat. At the end, the owner's daughter had brought some juice out for us, My husband really doesn't like horseback riding, but he said he loved our ride here and it was one of the highlights of the trip. The owner told me they just bought some additional land that they are hoping to develop into a destination they can ride to and then do luaus with food, entertainment, and drinks, which I thought was such a cool idea! She was hoping to have this done in around a year, so I would definitely be back to check it out.

I went horseback riding once before and I didn't really enjoy it. I kind of decided to do this last minute and was lucky that they had an opening while we were on island visiting. This place is in Kohala at the top of the mountain, the drive up and down was gorgeous! We were greeted right away at the check in area by Jackie and Calcificer (not sure if that is how you spell the Cat's name) the chatty Cat. You have to sign a waiver and you can choose to wear a helmet or not. They have helmets, jackets, boots and saddle bags for the guests to use. You cannot have anything loose, it has to be secured in a zippered pocket or the saddle bag. You cannot keep your phone in your back pocket and if you would like to wear your cowboy hat, you need to make sure it has a string to secure your hat on, it gets super windy, no string, then you cannot wear the hat. Baseball caps are ok but it needs to be snug. The horses are beautiful and well taken cared of. The area was just so beautiful, rolling green hills as far as the eye can see. It did get quite windy and there was a light drizzle of rain for a little while. So much cooler than the last time I rode which was in the Hilo area and it was hot. We did the 1 1/2 hour ride. There were opportunities to canter or trot or if you just wanted to walk that was fine too. Our guides Jackie and Darian were very informative, they were very descriptive on how to get on and off the horse, how to hold the reigns and how to direct the horse. They also gave us horses they thought would match each of the riders. They helped all of us mount and dismount and made sure we were comfortable and felt secure. On our ride they told us about the ranch and its history and about each of our horses, where they were obtained from or if they were born on the ranch. The horses were all well behaved. This experience was much more enjoyable, would highly recommend!
