I bought a 2007 Cadillac STS from this dealer. In the ad, it stated the car had a new timing chain…read moreand tensioners. The dealership verbally confirmed they had replaced these on the car prior to sale but couldn't find any documentation to prove it. I stupidly took their word for it and bought the car. HUGE mistake. It immediately had trouble running/starting. After getting warm and turning off, the car would NOT start. It was also running VERY rough. I took it to a ASE certified mechanic near my home who knew nothing about the timing chain situation. I told him the symptoms and he came back to me stating the engine was out of time and needed a timing chain replacement. Once I told him the timing chain had supposedly been replaced, he said the "screws on the timing chain have never been touched, it hasn't been replaced. You've been taken advantage of" word for word. After that, I contacted the dealership. Their response? Absolute disrespect. I'm yelled at and accused of lying about how much I've driven the car despite the sale paperwork and mechanics diagnosis showing a mild difference in mileage. I decide not to deal with them any more because they're impossible to communicate with. I decide I'll take it to a Cadillac dealer for another opinion. Their diagnosis is the exact same as the other mechanic except worse. The timing chain needs replaced (since they say "it's never been replaced"), the brakes need replaced, spark plugs need replaced, power steering is completely shot, and basically another $1,000 worth of work needs done to the car ON TOP OF the timing chain. Bottom line - STAY AWAY from this dealership! They're NOT honest!

It was also getting into winter and my Socal self had no idea what that entailed. After doing some research online and on reddit, I found Valentino's as a mechanic that was both reputable and fair priced. I have to admit, I know VERY little about car care and have always just left it in the hands of my mechanics so there is definitely a high level of trust that they won't price gauge me. Seeing as I knew nothing, I left everything in the hands of the employees at Valentino's. I literally told them I just drove out from CA and need an oil change and whatever winter requires. I'm pretty sure I just looked like a deer caught in headlights cause honestly, what is snow even? Anyways, they completed the job in a couple of hours and explained to me what they did. Apparently, my car was already winter ready and my car really only need an oil and air filter change. The total was completely reasonable and they didn't try to sell me any extras. They definitely could have made up some winter requirements and I would have just jumped on it. Anyways, if your car needs repairs of any kind, I'd highly recommend Valentino's! I've already been sending my friends there and everyone's been happy so far!

I drove it and found a couple of minor issues which were reflected in the sale price and I was ok with buying it as-is. I didn't have the 7k laying around to pay cash so I looked into financing it and I thought I had decent credit so I thought it was possible. They got me a 6% interest rate and I put a little down on it and it has been history since! I love driving it and I put about 4,000 miles on it the first year I've owned it. I will definitely buy another vehicle here if the opportunity presents itself and I've sent a few customers their way as well because they were so good. I have nothing but good things to say about the guys over at Roby Cars!!

In attempt to purchase a car, my guy friend (who's so in cars) and I priced the KBB value of a 04 Volvo. They wanted 12, KBB priced at 7 but we were willing to negotiate. As a person with good credit (literally classified as good) and 1500+ for a downpayment we found it odd that they wanted nearly 30% of the car's asking price, switched some numbers to where KBB price matched there's, then tried to put me in cars that looked like they were on there last leg. Granted, each customer experience is different, but it's crazy how with good credit I was told I need a substantial downpayment and the Volvo s40 turbo was not an option, yet I went to Lindsay Acura and only put down 1500 with a brand new Acura TL... THE SAME DAY!

Don't let the location of this business deter you!!…read more I must admit, when I found a car listed online and googled where this place was located, I almost didn't go. But hey, a deal is a deal and I am so glad I went (it really isn't THAT bad down there). The good: *I bought a car about $1900 under the list value. It's my 16 year old's first car and this was the ONLY Focus that had low miles (under 50,000) for a descent price (under $6000). Every other car lot was charging the same price or more for cars that had OVER 80,000 (some over 100,000). *After purchasing the car, I took the car to a mechanic to have it checked out and the only thing wrong with it was the tires were close to needing replaced. He told me all the systems looked good and all the filters were nice and clean. *Their document fee is $100 less than large dealerships. They charged me $150 whereas the larger dealership I was dealing with was $250. *The people here are very nice. I had many interactions with Nathan and G. All were pleasant. The not so good: *I am used to dealing with big car lots that have long hours (open til 8pm everyday, including Saturdays). This car lot says they are open from 10-6pm everyday, but a couple of times I tried to go look at the car and they were closed due to getting cars from auctions or because no one was going to be in the office (it's a small lot so there aren't a lot of employees to cover the hours). I would definitely CALL before you go. If he or his assistant is not going to be there, they will let you know when they will be available. *After my son test drove the car and decided he wanted it, we drove back to the dealership (located in a house) and told them we wanted it. I told them all I needed was a PO to get to my bank (because I was already preapproved for financing) so they could finish up the loan and we'd be on our way with the car. The problem was the car hadn't been loaded into the system yet (even though they'd had it for about a month...I asked) and the person there didn't know how to do it (WHAH WHAH). So I had to wait. *They don't keep a lot of gas in their cars for test driving. The time we went back for my son to drive the car there was so little gas I was afraid we were going to run out. I told him to pull into the 1st gas station he saw. I didn't make a big deal out of it because I understand they are a small business (and I pretty much knew he would love the car as much as I did and we would buy it) and you wont' get all the amenities that the larger dealerships offer. I would definitely recommend this place is you are looking for a great car well under book value. The buying process will probably take you a little longer than the dealerships but you will get a better deal.
