I had a move from San Jose to Roseville. We had 3-bedroom townhouse. We had everything packed ourselves. I had Dima's team do the move. They arrived on time and had 4 men in total. Dima worked very hard to pack everything well to the truck. He took a use of every space. They covered items very well and used layers of blankets to assure nothing gets damaged. They packed the 26 foot truck end to end we haven't found any item that has a damage. They worked very hard and had very few breaks in between of the 17 hours move. They communicated well and kept the process clear. They kept to the price we had agreed, and no additional fees were added. Note that 20% of tip is asked for! We chose them as seemed reliable and caring company and this is certainly what we got! Would used them in the future again. read more

Took 4 movers over 2x the estimate originally provided. Then charged $10 more by the hour than originally quoted and claimed it was cash vs card price (misleading at best, a lie at worst). Most movers were slow and often seen texting while on the clock. Took many breaks during the day, including to eat lunch we provided and only deducted 30 min from the move time. They literally shoved random things into boxes making unpacking a nightmare. Have found several broken items already. Thank goodness for A2B Movers! Every interaction with this team was pleasant, from the first call asking for a quote, to the very end, when all of our stuff arrived as expected. I can't say enough good things about them! Husband and I were moving from Sunnyvale, CA to Denver, CO. I contacted a handful of moving companies in the area about our interstate move and A2B Movers were the only one who met all of our criteria. After providing basic details and doing a FaceTime tour of our place, we were quoted a flat rate with no additional fees. They required a $100 deposit to reserve the date (which would come off from the total). On the day of the move, I received a text from David with his ETA. Jonathan and his crew from A2B Movers did a fantastic job for us. We ordered a upack trailer and was referred by a friend that had a great experience using them when they moved. I called about 1 month out for them to show up with a 3 man crew and I was very lucky to get this team. They went right to work , asked me to show them around and prep'd the upack truck and start moving the boxes in the garage and then right on to the furniture. They were very honest, one of our books had some money in in and it fell out when was moving thing around and he walked up and handed it to us letting us know he fell out. I didn't even think they took a break, I made sure to supply them with water and anything else they needed while they were working since it was a bit warm out. I can't say enough good things about this mover. Everything went super smooth and price wise was better or right on with other quotes I had gotten to check to make sure things were in the up and up. My wife contracted A2B Movers to move our daughter from San Francisco back to San Jose. She had used them before for a local project and was pleased with their work. San, Sasha and Murad showed up in San Francisco on time. They were courteous and efficient when loading the boxes and wrapping the furniture. 2018 Move: the packing job was extremely bad. After seeing everything, it almost felt like this was intentional or at the very least without any regard to value of items. I am attaching pictures of the resulting damage in the link below. The name of contact we had for the move was from Jeff B. We also had a number from Yesenia G on the day of the move. The packing job was done on June. I was actually called by Jeff the day before and he told me he was going to be late (which they were) due to a cremation he had to attend at the last minute. I am not certain if he is the one who did the job , because they were trying to find a replacement for a missing member of their crew. The day of the move they went so quickly that we were not even able to see exactly how badly they were packing the items. Also, they took many of the items and packed them in the hallway so that we actually did not see how they packed the individual boxes. Little did we know they were just shoving everything in the boxes carelessly. Moreover, they did a poor job of consolidating things in the truck. This increased our moving costs by about 800 dollars in what should have only been 5 feet of trailer space. The whole encounter was by unprofessional. I should have known at that time that it was not going to go well, but as you can imagine once you have the moving truck there we didn't have much of an option. The extent of the damage wasn't apparent until the contents arrived at the destination a week later. The packers did not appropriate supplies. They started to run out of boxes and resorted to reusing our old boxes. None of the fragile items had any packing bubbles or wrap. All of the boxes were just stuffed with our items and many the contents were crushed inside of them. They essentially just threw everything into a box and wildly taped the boxes with a packing tape that ended up melting on to several items. They also used several of our decorative boxes and taped them. Of course, these decorative boxes were crushed and destroyed. The picture frames, diploma frames, and other frames were just bundled together and wrapped in clear plastic without any protective packing. The computer monitors were just boxed in tape. The larger furniture was similarly poorly packaged. As an example, I had a custom chair that had no protective covering. As a result, it had several scratches, scrapes, and tape markings that are ruining the wood. There were no blankets on any it or any of the other items. The computer was packaged in a large box without any packing cushion and it was sitting in a box with other larger items. The computer now no longer works. The bed mattress was just wrapped in a plastic tape and had several black markings on it. The bookshelf was also scratched and scrapped all along the borders as it slid in the trailer. Several of the boxes also had trash and left over tape just thrown in there. They just used our boxes to store their trash. As I mentioned, I took several illustrative pictures showing much of what I described above. This was extremely disappointing to say the least, especially considering we were assured our contents would be well packed for the long distance move. The company provide some refund but that obviously not enough to makeup for the damage caused. read more

I appreciate then reaching out and trying to rectify things, so adjusting my rating from 1-star to 3-stars *** Here's what I originally wrote: We were initially thrilled that A2B movers were available to move us with just a week's notice... but in retrospect, we wish they hadn't been. In short: Avoid this company. They are slow, expensive, unprofessional and will likely damage your things. The details.. Misleading pricing: We were quoted $750 for 3 hours and 3 guys. We had already boxed up more than half our stuff, so we thought it would go very quickly. They were so slow. It took them 5 hours with only 1 guy packing for the majority of the time while the other 2 presumably preoccupied with loading the truck. They ultimately charged us $1350. For a two bedroom apartment with most things already boxed!! Unprofessional staff: They didn't bring enough packing material or closet boxes and blamed it on having the"wrong truck" (which was unmarked). They spent a lot of time just trying to assess how to wrap and pack things, and didn't really listen to our suggestions or preferences. The team turned up an hour later than quoted (despite the fact that we were paying by the hour for our building service elevator). They took a 20 min lunch break, which, to their credit, they deducted from our bill. But a few hours later, after I hadn't seen them in about 10 mins, I went down to investigate and they weren't at the truck either. They had all disappeared for about 20 mins. I confronted them about it when they returned and they tried to act like nothing happened. Damaged items: As I mentioned, they ran out of packing materials fairly quickly and started to just throw things together into boxes. Metal pans were tossed in unwrapped, expensive hanging clothes were bundled and shoved into boxes with shoes and hangers. We had to move our framed artwork ourselves because they didn't have anything left to satisfactorily wrap them with. Response: I contacted their customer service in an effort to claim reimbursement for damages, but after a week of no response, I'm making my issues public. read more

I've moved many times all over the world, and this move with A2B was my worst move ever. Despite the positive reviews, I would do your homework carefully and strongly suggest using another company, at least in the San Jose area. The results are likely crew dependent, and what happened with me is evidence A2B is not managing their field effectively. On the positive side, A2B was affordable, timely, professional and efficient. On the downside, they were careless, entirely too focused on getting done vs doing it right, and then when there were issues, it took a lot of time and threats to get any action... The crew dropped a heavy piece of furniture down the stairs, ripping up half a dozen stairs and smashing the banister days before my move out inspection. It wasn't until I threatened to cancel the charge with my credit card company that I even heard from someone. To give you some insight into that, the office manager told me, while fully acknowledging all the problems, "But sir, we did complete the move, so you should pay in full for that job." Ultimately they repaired the damage, but seemingly only because of my threats and pending legal action. A2B also damaged numerous items, primarily because they literally dumped everything into oversized boxes with no packing paper. They made up the wardrobe boxes, but never used them, for some reason instead burying my hanging clothes under other random stuff, in some cases using my clothes instead of paper to wrap and protect items. I don't. Know if this was a one-off problem, but the issues seem systemic. I won't risk it with A2B again. read more

Awesomest Move Experience Wish it were always this easy. From start to finish, A2B made our move a breeze. Was first attracted to the great Yelp reviews. Requested a quote from a few movers and Nick from A2B made it quick and simple with a few questions and a quote. WE reserved our date, time, and move size from there. Fast forward to the night before. We confirmed details. This morning, the crew called about 15 minutes out. Four guys arrive-- Dennis, Anton, Dennis (#2), and Gabit-- and we are off to the races. They were fast in getting a 2,000 square foot house, plus a 1/3 full two-car garage, packed up into a long truck. The team used padding, wrap, and tape to keep our furniture clean and unbroken. They masterfully avoided corners, railing, walls, doors, and the like, so not a mark was left from their work. And they unloaded, placed furniture, reassembled some items, and them cleaned up after themselves at our new place. Nine hours in all. Wife is happy. Kid is giddily playing in her new room. Given that I packed most of my belongings the night before and the trip was only 4 miles, the entire moving endeavor was quite smooth and quick. I had to accept their 3-hr minimum service as I was very specific on the date and time the service was required. The team (two movers) was courteous and professional. The entire move took a bit over 2 hours. However, they asked for 25% tip on top of the 3 hours and rounding the tip amount up to $100; I genuinely thought that accepting the move to be 3 hours was a great amount of tip already, so felt extremely uncomfortable when they asked for that.
