I went to a-1 battery on rosedale and right away Jacob and Luis came out to the parking lot to see what I needed. I told them I have to jump the car every time I started it! I called A-1 Battery first thing in the morning to have my battery replaced. I needed it delivered to my home. The friendly CSR told me the delivery service would be at my home at 9:20. Jacob arrived promptly at 9:20, he called first btw, checked my battery voltage and told me it was time for a new one and gave me the price with tax. He cleaned off the terminals, installed the battery, tested it, and checked my alternator and starter all while treating me respectfully. I am very disappointed in customer service. I bought a AGM battery from them about three years ago. When it failed I brought it back. The fist thing that was said even before it was checked was with out the receipt that they would not do anything. the battery was bad but too bad for me. I bought a battery from A1 on 8/29/17 and it was a pleasant experience. Staff is nice, seems reasonable for the battery and it only took about 20 minutes. About 3 weeks ago I stared have car issues with my 2013 Buick Verano so I took it in to my mechanic at pacific express tires. He tells me that the battery is the issue and is leaking acid all over my wiring connection to the computer. I went back to A1 battery, after spending $780 fixing the issue that the battery caused, today and brought the battery in to discuss the issue and see if I can somehow get my money back. Well i spoke to the general manager of A1 and he immediately told me that my mechanic was a f****** liar and it wasn't leaking anything. I told him I was no expert on cars and I was telling him what my mechanic told me. One of the other employees told me they might be able to replace the battery and I said I have no interest in a battery from them and was there to discuss money. The GM said he can't help me and so I proceed to walk out and here the GM say, "f*** that little b****!" He then follows me outside and threatens to fight me multiple times and tells me to get the f*** out of the car and stop being a b****. He continues to curse at me as I am driving away. I am reporting them to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Way to go A1!! Best customer service in the business. read more

We recently purchased a 2001 Class A motorhome, and we were headed to Pismo on our first outing. It was very slow to start, and showed a low battery warning. Stopped at Costco for fuel, barely got it restarted. Decided to stop by A1 Battery on the way out of town, and called to make sure we could get through without backing up. They assured us they would make that happen. A tech was waiting in the 104 degree heat to direct us where we needed to park, and three techs immediately set to work checking out the batteries. One of the two engine batteries was bad, and they recommended replacing both of them since they are linked and were six years old. They were done in 15 minutes - almost. Turned out the starter was shot, too. It was now 5pm on a Friday, and the parts houses were closed. A1 Battery sells batteries, but also tests and sells alternators, cables, and starters, but didn't have one for the motorhome in stock at the Rosedale store. They called the tech at another location who specializes in starters, and he had a superior replacement available. Realize that these guys were supposed to be off at 5.... Instead, the tech delivered the replacement to the Rosedale location, where the Rosedale techs had the old starter off and were ready to go. They did the install and turned the key - and the new, more powerful replacement starter cranked that diesel over with authority. Far superior to the original starter in every way. The entire time we were there, the staff and the owner treated us like they were honored to be working for us. They went far above and beyond to get us back on the road the same day, with a much better operating machine, and with an attitude of joyous service rarely seen in this day and age. They stayed an hour past closing to take care of a customer, without hesitation, and at an exceptionally low price. Owner Kent Tackett has grown a culture of customer service second to none. Well, when I got back into my car, I found that the clock had lost some time -- A whopping 3 minutes! I almost didn't correct the error.
