They were knowledgeable and delightfully courteous. Although it was late in the day, they installed the battery for me with care and precision at no extra charge. Being in a hurry I accidentally left some equipment behind, which they retained for me and allowed me to pick up at my earliest convenience. They checked my battery out and said they can't do nothing for me because it's under 10 volts. You would think with the 4-year warranty they would say no problem . Well my battery didn't hold up. The battery was done they assumed something drained it so they basically deemed it as misuse. The person I spoke with was Reynaldo Mendez the Assistant Branch Manager. They couldn't even find me in their system because they said they updated their program system. The assistant branch manager said he can prorate for a new battery and the battery cost $380 everything out the door would be $434.99...So I told him ...Where's the pro- rate... he basically charged me the normal price . I told him no thank you I will take my business elsewhere I will never go back to that place again. I had bought three expensive batteries from their place before ,now they just lost a good customer. I don't recommend them. I never heard of a warranty excuse like that. I'll tell you this he didn't take care of the customer.

Battery problems on a Saturday, ugh!…read more A1 battery on Union was AWESOME! I called them 5 minutes before they opened and talked to J.R. He assured me he had a battery that would fit my car and could change out the corroded cable. I pulled up, and a technician named Eedwin walked out and greeted me with a smile, and started diagnosing the issue right away. J.R. and Eedwin went straight to work, pulling out the old battery and replacing it with the new. The AAA representative had mentioned that I needed a specific type of battery, which was only available at the dealership, but J.R. (and later my mechanic) assured me that wasn't the case. J.R. made sure I had the correct battery for my car and even cleaned the battery housing as well. I was there for less than 10 minutes, and everything was under $200, when AutoZone was going to charge me $250 just for the battery! (no install). Time will tell how well the battery does (they gave me a 5-year warranty - 1 year full replacement, the remainder is prorated price for a new battery) but so far, I'm happy with my service. I'd recommend this place to my people.
