There were 15/16 players signed up for this event a week ago+ ago when I signed up and today they start play 5 hours early no warning or email with only 6 players for a riftbound skirmish?? Mind you I wouldn't gaf if it was a weekly but this is a Skirmish which I planed weeks ahead for.... And again skirmish are suppose to be bigger events then weeklies. I have done business with a wide variety of suppliers and Reynolds is now my top choice for materials. They just know their stuff when it comes to making something. With casting materials and mold materials there are so many choices from so many suppliers it can be a challenge at times to find the right path to get the results you want. Laurie at Reynolds in Tempe just has it down where the guess work is at a real minimum. Not every project or job is a 1,2,3, to finish operation, so anything that takes out the error and saves you money is a bonus in my book and Reynolds does just that. Oh yeah, be ready to gawk for a while if you're a creator, because your choices and tools available at Reynolds far exceeds many of the suppliers I used while working in Hollywood.

There were quite a few, but not as many as I'd hoped (at least that he didn't have; it's well stocked for non-collectors or beginning collectors just fine, but not for someone who has been collecting for 15+ years lol). There was also a little bin of pins and stuff, so I grabbed myself a few of those. The staff up front talked to me a bit and when I'd mentioned my husband collects board games and retro games, they pointed me toward another shop in the little mall behind the DQ. Super kind of them!

The selection of LEGO sets isn't huge, but that's not what makes this place special. The real highlight is the incredible minifigure selection. They have plenty of pre-made characters (like Batman), or you can create your own custom minifigure. My son and I each made one that (sort of!) looked like us, and it was easily the most fun part of our visit. They also host birthday parties and offer "Kids Night Out" events, where you can drop your kids off for an evening while you enjoy a date night. When I came back in from checking the track out, two of the employees including Jason (think that was his name) and what appeared to be a customer/friend were just shooting the breeze all the way at the end of the counter in the corner. They proceeded to all look up at me laugh, look away from me, and look again and proceeded to laugh again. Maybe it was a misunderstanding on my part, but from a customer or human aspect it felt as if I was being laughed at. Maybe it was how I was dressed, maybe it's because I was uneducated and asked the initial guy some questions. I walked out Needless to say, it discouraged me in that moment from wanting to get back into the hobby just due to that. Seemed like they were all buddies from how they were standing there talking. That being said, I'm taking my money to another store here in town and not letting this poor experience ruin the idea of getting back into the hobby. Maybe it was a small drop in this companies bucket, it would have been probably a $380 sale with tax; but hey I'll go spend that somewhere else. I wish you the best with your business, and I hope my experience doesn't happen to someone else. Be it that was possibly unintentional, it's definitely not how you behave with someone who is nervous about trying something again that they haven't done in years.
