I put a request on Yelp for estimates to install a new garage door opener. Within minutes I had several "canned" automatic responses saying they received my request and they would get back to me, or asking me to call them to discuss. Carlos from A Team Garage Doors was the first person to respond. He actually gave me a written quote "as I was able to request on Yelp". I waited a while and received one other actual "quote" from another company that was pretty close. After reading the reviews I decided to contact Carlos back via text. He was so very quick to respond and was able to come over in a couple of hours to install the new garage door opener "that I had just purchased that morning from Home Depot". He was a really nice and trustworthy guy, and did a GREAT job installing the opener and setting up the keypad and remotes. I would highly recommend Carlos at A Team Garage Doors! read more

Something VERY weird here. I have read all of these wonderful reviews, and I believe them---or at least I DID. But our experience with Carlos has been VERY different and we are baffled. When our large driveway front gate motor eventually died, we called Carlos who installed a new, and very expensive gate motor. It cost about $5000. The new motor has given intermittent problems, and during the past couple of months it seems to run in a random fashion with a mind of its own. The gate just opens, and remains open, at random times. Firstly, it is a large security gate--so the entire purpose of it is defeated when it opens and stays open! And secondly we have dogs, and a fully fenced/walled property so the dogs dont wander away, which would be the most heartbreaking thing imaginable. Most importantly, the motor is clearly defective, meaning that it is not working as it should. We have zero security, and zero protection for our dogs with an unreliable gate motor. Here is where things get wobbly. We called Carlos about this, and even though he did come out to the property, he refused to even look at the motor. Worse than that he was incredibly rude, and even hung up on me! And even worse--he expressed no solutions, no plan to fix, no ideas, and his basic bottom line was "sorry Charlie, if you want to get a new motor, go ahead!" I was dumbfounded. I pay my bills on time. I have no problem with any vendors. I just want the items to work, especially when they cost about $5000! Obviously, one expects people to stand by their work and to make sure anything defective is left in good working order. Perhaps Carlos was having a bad day when this went down. Who of us have not had a bad day every once in a while? I have texted him to return and he has texted back that he will "take a look" tomorrow and that he stands by his work. We shall see. As this unfolds, I will correct and update this review--and nobody more than I would like to write that the service was GREAT and everything was solved and it is all working perfectly. If this is all fixed, I cannot wait to give 5 stars like the others. But, if there is a two step that leaves me with an expensive and defective machine that needs replacing, you can bet that you will read about it here. I LOVE small independent businesses, and have been so very fortunate to have discovered a few who have done work for me for decades! I would like to join the chorus of other amazing reviews for this man. A simple "dont worry, we'll get to the bottom of this and we'll get it fixed" would have been terrifically reassuring, not to mention good customer relations. read more

Carlos and his crew at A Team Garage are awesome! He came out to give me a quote, followed up right away, was the best price out of all three bids and his team just installed my new beautiful garage. He truly went above and beyond to get us what we needed in a timely manner and his entire operation is really pro. Thank you Carlos. I really appreciate your help and I look forward to working on many more projects with you! read more

Called on Friday afternoon, got appt for Saturday morning. Actually called me asking if coming a little early was okay. Technician knew immediately what was wrong with garage door; had part in truck. Repair completed within 15 minutes. Also adjusted spring on door as it wasn't properly set for its weight. This might have been cause for part failure. Paid by check. Very satisfied with experience, will keep them on my list for future repairs. read more

Not a good start to getting business from me or anyone that I know. Will definitely not recommend Carlos. He answered the phone sounded really positive on having him come by the next day at 9am to see what was the issue with our garage door. Never received a call or text letting us know he was ru ning late or wouldn't be able to make it. Definitely dissatisfied with the service. No call no show still until today. It's been 2 days already. That's not good business ethics. read more

Excellent! Can not say enough positive words about Carlos. Made an appointment to check out my door with a ONE hour window! No, 'I'll be there between 12-4." I was leaving this morning to do some shopping and get gas, but my garage door would not open. I tried to open manually, but the door would not budge. I saw that one of the springs were broken. Being Saturday, I was hoping to find someone who was working, Carlos was at my house within 90 minutes and replaced the springs. While he was there, I told him about other problems I was having with the door and had another company look at the issue. The other company said I needed a new garage door opener, new rollers, and need weather stripping around the door. Their serviceman never got his feet off the ground to check what the problem was. Carlos looked at the issue and said there was nothing wrong with the opener, but the problem was mechanical. This agreed with what I discovered. A Team Garage Door and Carlos did a great job fixing my door, plus he provided honest service. I think A Team Garage Door and Carlos proved to be the better company in the Coachella Valley, even if the other company has a cute commercial on TV with a talking garage door. read more

I've had garage door issues for a few months... and I have had 5 different garage door companies come out from the Palm Springs area... after much frustration, I got super lucky and got Carlos from A Team Garage Doors... He was able to diagnose and resolve the issue pretty quickly. Plus he was on time, and very courteous. His rates were also very fair and reasonable. I would DEFINITELY recommend "A Team Garage Doors" to anybody. Good service is hard to find... let alone somebody knowledgeable and personable.
