Fusion related to food is a no-no for me. It might happen but I like traditional cooking of one cuisine, unless I'm at the food court. I heard that the people who own this used to own Kitty's Kichen. It took some time, but I visited. It's a small restaurant in a big shopping center that's changed a lot in the last 11 years. I ended up ordering the Dry Fried Spicy Fish and iced tea. The server brought the iced tea quickly and they had packets on the table for sweetening. It was perfect already. I didn't know what to expect but with one group there and a few other people, I figured it was mildly busy normally. It was after 1:30, so Chubby's and other brunch places were closing. They brought the food and chopsticks. There was a good-sized portion of white rice, some vegetables, and fish with jalapeño slices. The fish had good flavor but it was mushy. We have that flash-freeze rule, so that no one gets bad effects from bad stuff in their sushi. It destroys the texture. Still, I eat for flavor and it was good. I noticed that some of the fish was white and other parts were pink. If you've cooked, you likely know how I was feeling. I told the owner after I had finished and was paying the bill. I used the restroom and when I returned, they had a bin of the fish that they were using. Some was mildly pink and some was intensely pink. Case solved. News at 11. I was pleased with the food and will likely return. Service was good and pleasant. Restroom was clean.

amazing service! we walked in with a party of 13. All smiles! Food was delicious and some surprising options! Our favorites were the appetizer fried shrimp, chow mein, katsu chicken for the kids and the spam fried rice! the team was so friendly and accommodating. they also were able to make several options gluten free!

Another great find in a strip mall of manteca! This restaurant has entof a variety in their menu which would appeal to most people looking for some great food. Since I've never tried ramen, that's what appealed to me. I went with the curry broth and chicken katsu. Not being a breast meat fan their chicken katsu made with breast meat was very palatable, I still would have preferred dark meat but I'll just have to try their pork katsu the next time. I still stay by my opinion that breast meat is bow wow food and never meant for human consumption, their method of cooking breast meat is not bad, in spite of my bias. Their curry broth is a great choice for ramen noodles, I really like the combination. I like to come bad to experience their other dishes, if what I had was any indication of what they can cook I'm sure the rest of dishes are gonna be fantastic.

Oh my gosh the food was so good. I got the Korean sweet and spicy pork and it was perfect. Very good flavors. The fried rice was rich. The garlic noodles were good as well but I wish the noodles were thicker. The restaurant was well appointed. There was plenty of room to sit and the place was fairly busy but thankfully not too noisy! The service was just as good as everything else. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It's a welcome addition to Manteca. We would eat there again.

Very good food and even better service. I would recommend the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer as the fresh flavor with bang bang sauce is too good of a combo. Then their ramen is all very good. The garlic charsiu ramen hits the spot. Also the chicken katsu is fire and definitely worth it. Philly cheesesteak eggrolls are definitely worth the try as it is a very interesting fusion combo. Lastly the service is great and you can tell the family owned restaurant takes pride in their food and service. If you want to watch sporting events you can go watch on their big tv and get a drink too. Some of the best food in Manteca and definitely worth the stop!

We were looking for a spot for lunch leaving town and found this on Yelp. The menu was very intriguing so we decided to give it a try. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. We walked inside and was seated quickly. The menu had tons of options with several dishes we weren't expecting to find. There were Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Hawaiian inspired dishes. And the prices were amazing! We decided on the Tonkotsu ramen, hamburger steak, and bang bang chicken. The food tasted amazing! The hamburger steak came on the sizzling plate, and the sauce was so flavorful. The bang bang chicken was sweet and little spicy. The tonkotsu broth was nice and not salty. Portions were also pretty big. It felt like we barely made a dent! Service was fantastic. You could tell this was a favorite spot for locals. Wayne himself was so nice and friendly. He definitely makes you feel welcomed. This will be one of our spots to visit when were pass through town.

After some early morning fishing, I stopped by ATWK for some lunch. For me, I ordered the Korean Sweet and Spicy Chicken Mix Bowl which comes with corn, cabbage, tomatoes, green onion, macaroni salad and brown or white rice. While I liked the concept of meal in a bowl, the bowl was over powered not only by the amount of sauce, but by the sweetness of the sauce, too. Moreover, the chicken coating was too heavy and tough for my taste. For Korean fried food, I was expecting the lighter flour and starch mixture rather than whatever I was served. As for my partner, he ordered the Bang Bang Chicken entree which comes with fried rice and vegetables with a side of macaroni salad for an additional $1. While his Bang Bang Chicken was not as sweet as my dish, he too felt the chicken coating was heavy. While dining mid-week, there were plenty of non-Asian customers enjoying their meal. However, if you are from the SF Bay Area and are Asian, Wayne himself suggested I order a Katsu or Chicken Breast as the food is geared for non-Asians. Service was attentive and Wayne talked with each customer.

I've visited A Table Wayne's Kitchen twice now. The first time was a great experience. Immediately, you are greeted and sat at a table. It's a smaller location, but still comfortable and perfect for a date or even a small to medium sized group. My first experience had me try the Bang Bang chicken, which was good, I'm just not a big fan of bell pepper, and this dish was very heavy with that flavor. Others rave about it! My second visit was this week and I ordered the Korean Spicy Sweet Chicken with Egg Fried rice. Delicious!!!!! I highly recommend this! It also came with a choice of macaroni salad or green salad. I chose the Macaroni salad! It was good but I would recommend just a little more mayonnaise. My co-workers ordered the Beef Chili Oil Noodle. He said he was really good and flavorful. Other co-workers ordered the Loco Moco and really enjoyed it. In all, we will continue to return and highly recommend anyone give them a try! The menu has so much to offer!

First time trying this place and it was so delicious! Ordered it online , service was fast. Never been inside. It was a lot of food to feed 2-3 people. Absolutely delicious. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the macaroni salad was my favorite. 10/10 recommend this place

We showed up 15 minutes before they closed with 6 people. The food was amazing. I had braised beef ramen. Son had beef and broccoli wife had seafood ramen littlest one had rice with chicken. Every one ate all of the food. No left overs. Seriously the best I have had. Can't wait to go back. Would drive hours for this food!!!!!

I'll start this review off with saying that the staff is always courteous and kind. I came back for a second try because of the friendly staff. The first time coming I wanted to try a dish that I regularly make at home and have been perfecting for nearly 5 years; Tonkatsu (Pork Chop Katsu). I unfortunately was left feeling disappointed. The pork was chewy and the sauce was a bit bland. The salad and dressing were typical of any Asian restaurant and left me wanting something different than any other place I've been. I decided to try again as I was not paying for the meal. This time we ordered takeout and thought I should try the signature dish, Bang Bang Chicken. I have heard many good things and read rave reviews on this dish, so expected to be blown away. Maybe I went in with too high of expectations. It was bland, but it was cooked well and the food portions were huge. I ended up adding spice and creating more sauce to go on top when at home. The macaroni salad on the side was a little strange for Asian fusion, but I ate it anyways. Mayonnaise was the dominating flavor profile for this salad. I wanted to return for a third time just to try their Tonkotsu ramen, but upon reading reviews that it isn't salty, I will not be doing that. Tonkotsu is supposed to be salty to balance what should be a fatty and rich broth. They have enough business from others to keep going, but the lack of flavor for me is a reason I can't go back. Been eyeing this place for a while now and WOAH I WISH I TRIED IT SOONER. Parking was easy and walking inside it was very clean. It was simple and very cute inside with a large tv playing sports. we were promptly greeted. Looked at the menu which was a great easy selection with pictures on every item. The "small plate" or appetizer section was large and it was hard to pick just a few things. If you want the short answer EVERYTHING we ate was amazing! If you care to read why... - Fried green beans - So scrumptious! Not too much batter and well seasoned. We just got home from eating here, and wow! We were looking for somewhere to eat to celebrate my mom's birthday, and when we saw this was opened by the previous owner of Kitty's Kitchen we knew this was the place to go. From the moment we walked in, they were very accommodating and pushed tables together to provide comfortable seating. We were able to order several small plates including the Fried Green Beans, Bang Bang Chicken and Honey Shrimp. We couldn't believe the large potion for these! Then came the entrees. Honey Soy Chicken, Korean Spicy Sweet Chicken, Beef Chili Oil Noodles and Bacon Kimchi Fried Rice. Wow. The servers checked on us frequently and kept refilling our waters as needed, and you could tell they really wanted to make sure we were satisfied. Which we were! They brought out a delicious Sweet Hot Bun for our toddler at the end that was stuffed with Nutella, and that was incredible. Awesome food, awesome service, awesome new restaurant in town. Authentic Asian cuisine right here in Manteca! Wayne's Kitchen is hands down the best Asian restaurant we've found. The restaurant is spotless, the service is excellent, and every dish we tried was 5/5. We recently relocated from Guam and have been searching for authentic Asian food and this is the real deal. Full disclaimer: these guys were the former owner/operators of my favorite local Chinese restaurant, Kitty's Kitchen, so as I try my best to remain unbiased, keep that in mind. A few days ago, I randomly saw that they were finally open. I had been waiting months for this moment so I gave my parents a call and had them meet me here. As you will see when you come in, the menu is completely different than Kitty's Kitchen so keep that in mind. They sold off Kitty's Kitchen and so naturally they would have to have a different type of menu and couldn't sell the same exact things. I love their new menu style, which has some traditional items as well as Asian fusion items. The first thing I noticed was that they had Philly cheesesteak eggrolls so I got an order that as well as the honey shrimp and chili oil wontons. Considering how many small plates we got, my parents decided to just get one order of the garlic ginger fish to share. I ordered the Sizzling New York Beef Steak and since my dad loved the shrimp so much I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp. The Philly cheesesteak eggrolls for me were great, they had a nice crisp in the meat was tender; my mom thought they were a tad greasy for her though. My favorite item was kind of a tossup between the honey shrimp, and the bang bang shrimp. Both had a great crisp to the outside without being overcooked on the inside. The wontons were the perfect; nice and soft but not mushy and with a great bite to it still. As for the Sizzling New York Steak, I love that Kitty came out herself to serve and pour the sauce table side. I'm not sure about square footage, but this place looks about 1/3 larger than their old location . It has a very nice clean aesthetic as well. I will definitely be coming back to try out more of their items ! read more

This review is for service only. The food is not the usual Central Valley Asian food, deep fried and sugary. He does not seem to concept of garlic noodles. There should be garlic. Anyhow The place was busy, not slammed. I've worked in restaurants in Bay Area for over 30 years. My tiny little order got overlooked, it happens. I don't like to be lied to. New customers were coming in, at least 15-20 minutes after me, they were getting their plates of food. I mentioned it and Wayne(?) said something to the effect we had a big order. I know, I saw the large platters of food. Then he says after cracking a smile, we have different cooks for different meals. Really. That place is not Choi Palace or R&G Lounge. How many cooks are in the back.. Just one encounter. read more

I found this spot on TikTok, and I'm grateful that ive found this place . I've had my fair share of ramen and man this is the best I've had .... I've had ramen all across the coast and frankly this place brings comfort within the food. The service is 10/10 they are such sweet people . Hands down the best customer service you could ask for. Super helpful when it came down to ordering food and helped accommodate my son's shellfish allergy. Wanted to try a spot in town we had never been to -- this place did not disappoint. It's a small restaurant but the place is inviting. The decor is nice, clean, and modern. The staff are friendly and attentive, including Mr. Wayne himself. The food was so freaking tasty. We started with the honey chicken appetizer. Nice crunch (chicken was breaded) and sweet flavor. It's almost like a light creamy honey mustard taste. We also got the wonton noodle soup and loco moco. The soup was hot and the wontons were big. But the loco moco was my favorite dish. There's just something about that gravy -- so savory. The meat itself was cooked perfectly. Portion size was plentiful for each dish. I will come back and try other things too. The menu has a lot of dishes I'd love to try next. So glad Manteca has a spot like this. read more

We happen to be in Manteca and found this place through Yelp. A must go, Hawaiian fusion food just as good as if you were on the islands. They also offer other Asian fusion dishes worth trying. We had chili oil won tons, garlic green beans and fried chicken wings with bang bang sauce to start. All were really good. Hubby and I shared the Loco Moco and it was honestly just as good as the one we had at Mama's in Maui. The Mac salad was my fave and I got an extra order and unfortunately had to share with my hubby :) Our friend ordered the grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce on the side and he said the chicken was super tender. Wayne stopped by our table to chat and he's such a nice guy. If I'm ever in the area again I'm making a special stop so I can try their other dishes. read more

Amazing customer service - the team is patient and super helpful. Ask them for recommendations on what to get. :) The location is inviting and clean. We held my grandmas 92nd birthday there and was able to reserve about half of the restaurant for a large party. They have a variety of Asian cuisine. Highly recommend the garlic noodles (great value), the crab ragoons, and the shrimp and pork won ton soup. Large portions that are shareable or great for left overs. Pro tip: join their rewards programs simply by sharing your phone number. :) read more

Had dinner here a couple of weeks ago. My boyfriend ordered the hamburger steak. This dish comes with 2 big beef patties that are mixed with onions served on a sizzling plate served with steam rice and black pepper sauce. I ordered the chicken katsu mixed bowl. The bowl come corn, tomatoes, cabbage, green onions, steam rice and macaroni salad. Portions here are huge and good for two people to share. Overall, food was delicious and great service! read more

1st time here, the man at the counter was very nice and helpful, with me choosing a plate. I got the Bang Bang Chicken, Rice, & Macaroni- Very delicious! Super clean new restaurant Parking tons of it This weekend we had a great experience dining at A Table Wayne's Kitchen in Manteca for all the reasons listed. Went in with intent for a light meal and were treated to fresh fantastic flavors of a dish that we had never heard of before- Kimchi Potstickers. Crunchy, well prepared, perfectly flavored, cooked and presented. Yum will have it again next time! Tofu appetizer and green onion pancake, great flavors, nice portions with tasty sauces and topping it off a cool Tsing Tao beer beverage - Love it!! Overheard another customer say that they make the very Best shrimp and fish in town and that this is the only place he goes for it. I haven't been here. But I ordered the food and everything I had was amazing. I especially loved the Bang Bang Chicken and Garlic Noodles. But everything that I ordered was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. Three cheers to their chef. I will be ordering again. There were so many things on the menu that looked wonderful. The food that Wayne and kitty create is amazing - the service is impeccable - ‍ read some people like Linda and Allen complain about the place being small but yet say portions are Huge and give either 2 or 3 stars - they are vapid hobknockers and wankers to the extreme ... back to Wayne .... The ambiance is legit , even a nice tv for the game days ... the flavor is so good , the garlic noodles , the honey shrimp , the tonkotsu is so good - these are the former owners of kittys kitchen , and they took all that goodness to The new place .... Food was good and portion sizes were large for the price. Some standouts were the garlic noodles, which were seasoned just right and very delicious, and the scallion pancakes, which were crispy and hot and came with a tasty curry dipping sauce. I also like how much cha siu was given with the ramen and the fact that both egg halves were included! What a luxury. Now the misses - the egg fried rice and macaroni salad that came with the entrees were just okay, and the wait time was pretty long. Overall though, we had a good experience. read more

AMAZING ! Delicious ! Clean and welcoming restaurant. Came here for lunch , seen the positive yelp reviews and had to give it a try . And wow , the food was so satisfying! Some of the freshest, most flavorful food I've had in Manteca. We dont have a lot of great options out this way so this is a wonderful little spot. With a Chinese mix of dishes and a bit of a Hawaiian flare there's something for everyone! We went for lunch and it was busy but not over crowded. Met Wayne and he was super welcoming! 4/5: Decided to try since it popped up on yelp as a new restaurant. Tried ginger fish and beef noodles. Beef noodles was surprisingly good since it isn't a dish I would typically order and was pleasantly surprised. Ginger fish was mediocre if I'm being honest and I was expecting something else and comparing to other ginger fish I have had. Place is clean and service was great! Stumbled on this new Asian Fusion place and I'm glad I did. We came in for lunch and ordered the BANG BANG CHICKEN SMALL PLATE and GARLIC FISH W/ RICE. The portion size for a small plate is a regular size entree which was very pleasing and it was delicious, super crispy, soft spice and sweetness to it. The garlic fish was also delicious. Came back a week later and ordered the RAMEN: beef w garlic base and a Chashu w garlic base. The portion again was large enough to take leftovers home. Good meat-2-noodle ratio and a perfect egg with toppings. Better IMO that ramen 101. And a small plate of HONEY CHICKEN Staff was VERY attentive and friendly. I was meeting my sister at this place for lunch at 2. It wasn't busy but they were so nice and attentive! I had just driven from Sacramento, so I was excited to try their food. We started with dessert and got the Sweetheart bun. It was fresh and the perfect blend of pastry and sweetness! The filling was a sweet cream cheese (I think). Yes, we started with dessert. Life is short! Then we got our entrees. My sister had the Huli chicken special and I ordered the pork chop katsu. Of course we had to share, so we both got to try each one. Everything was so fresh and amazingly delicious! I'm one of those people who can taste it if the oil has been used or is old. NONE of that here. Even the side salad was fresh and tasted great! New, clean and cute decor. I must say you need to start with the green bean appetizers! Very light tempura batter with a huge serving for only 10 bucks! The sauce on the side is amazing but they are great with or without it, though we did use it. Perfect way to start the meal. When we got there, we were the only customers and service was absolutely on point. They came and checked if we needed refills on our water at least twice during our meal and after we got our food a few minutes later, they came back to ensure that we liked it. The shrimp wonton soup was amazing! There were six huge shrimp in it and six wontons. There was lots of vegetables. Also, I did not eat a single bite of soup that did not have something in it, which is rare when I order wonton soup from other restaurants. Plenty of food for a decent price and excellent service! we did choose to not get drinks as the drinks were a little pricey, but that's generally the case at all restaurants nowadays. We will definitely be coming back. This is an excellent small business! Support local and give A Table Wayne's Kitchen a chance, you won't be disappointed! read more

We treated ourselves to a dinner out and drove to A Table- Wayne's kitchen tonight. Pleasantly surprised that the former owners of "Kitty's Kitchen" run this new location - with a different flair! They have small plates, such as the potstickers, but they have items such as green beans and garlic fries too. I chose the pork Katsu that came with a side salad, fried rice and veggies. The sauce alone is divine. My husband had a ramen bowl that had juicy tender beef. This was a wonderful meal with reasonable prices. Lastly, they serve specials such as raviolis with meat sauce. This is what a $17.99 pozole looked like after I was charged an additional $1.99 for extra hominy, for a total of about $20. It had no meat at all, and the extra hominy I paid for was barely noticeable. When people order takeout, it's usually because they're in a hurry. Customers shouldn't have to check every order before leaving to make sure they're getting what they paid for. This has happened more than once, and it's very frustrating.

I'll comment on the taste in a bit but I want to first highlight something I've never experienced. In all my work-from-home years I've never once had to-go experience where the dishes looked like they'd been plated for table service at the restaurant. Sure some stuff shifted in the Dasher's car but it honestly blew me away. Even the drink was carefully wrapped and put in a little box to ensure it wouldn't leak everywhere. As for the important bit, the taste, man... I have had so many amazing Thai meals at places in the bay area and honestly just assumed the most Modesto would get is some great Banh Mi spots. Obviously I haven't had the chance to try the whole menu but my go-to, Tom Kha, this is the best Thai coconut soup I've ever had! The Pad Thai is as good if not better than what I've had in San Francisco as well. I'm really looking forward to bringing friends and family here to check it out in person! Side note... yes, it's also very expensive ordering via Doordash with their added fees but it's 2026 and it's California. We ordered the beef noodle soup, stir-fried string beans, and the salt and pepper tofu, and honestly, every dish was delicious. The beef noodle soup had a rich, comforting broth with tender beef, the string beans were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, and the salt and pepper tofu was crispy on the outside and silky on the inside. It's not always easy to find good Taiwanese cuisine in the Central Valley, so we're really happy we found this place. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and you can tell they put a lot of care into the food. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. If you're in Manteca and craving authentic Taiwanese food, this place is absolutely worth checking out!

A Table Wayne's Kitchen is one of my go-to spots when I'm craving ramen, especially on a cold day. Their ramen is very flavorful and always tastes fresh. I also tried the chicken wings, and they were really good as well. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively it does get packed, which says a lot about how good the food is. Even when it's busy, the service doesn't miss a beat. The owner is super friendly and often checks in to make sure everything is okay, which makes the experience feel more personal. Overall, great food, great service, and a warm, comfortable environment. Definitely recommend if you're looking for good ramen in Manteca. read more

We recently discovered this restaurant, and it was a pleasant surprise! The food is delicious, and the serving sizes are just right. I also appreciate how clean the place is, and the servers were very attentive, making the experience even better. They have small plates and single entrée options, which come with rice and salad--a nice touch for individual meals. However, I do wish they offered family-style plates for the entrées, as it would make sharing dishes with the whole family easier. Wayne's Kitchen is hands down one of my favorite spots in town! The menu has so much variety, and everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. Some of my go-to favorites are the Chicken Katsu Mix Bowl, Garlic Noodles, Ramen, and Honey Soy Glaze Chicken--so good! The flavors are always on point, and the portions are great. On top of that, the owner and staff are super friendly and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. We had a delicious meal at Table in Manteca! The sizzling beef was perfectly tender and full of flavor, served on a fun cow-shaped hot plate with a side of fresh, crisp vegetables. It arrived steaming hot and smelled amazing. We also tried the tonkotsu ramen -- rich, creamy broth with springy noodles, melt-in-your-mouth chashu pork, and the perfect soft-boiled egg. Wow! We happened to drive by this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We're so glad we did! The customer service was top-notch, which is hard to find these days, and the food was absolutely amazing. We tried the black pepper steak (10/10), braised beef ramen with original broth (10/10), garlic shrimp entrée (10/10), and green scallion pancake with curry dip (10/10). Food is delicious and a very good price. My family knows the owner and he always greets us. One of the waitress also recognizes me and knows I drink a lot of water so she brings me two glasses . You should try anything they have with chili oil, it's delicious, especially the beef chili oil noodles and the wontons. read more
