Fusion related to food is a no-no for me. It might happen but I like traditional cooking of one cuisine, unless I'm at the food court. I heard that the people who own this used to own Kitty's Kichen. It took some time, but I visited. It's a small restaurant in a big shopping center that's changed a lot in the last 11 years. I ended up ordering the Dry Fried Spicy Fish and iced tea. The server brought the iced tea quickly and they had packets on the table for sweetening. It was perfect already. I didn't know what to expect but with one group there and a few other people, I figured it was mildly busy normally. It was after 1:30, so Chubby's and other brunch places were closing. They brought the food and chopsticks. There was a good-sized portion of white rice, some vegetables, and fish with jalapeño slices. The fish had good flavor but it was mushy. We have that flash-freeze rule, so that no one gets bad effects from bad stuff in their sushi. It destroys the texture. Still, I eat for flavor and it was good. I noticed that some of the fish was white and other parts were pink. If you've cooked, you likely know how I was feeling. I told the owner after I had finished and was paying the bill. I used the restroom and when I returned, they had a bin of the fish that they were using. Some was mildly pink and some was intensely pink. Case solved. News at 11. I was pleased with the food and will likely return. Service was good and pleasant. Restroom was clean.

amazing service! we walked in with a party of 13. All smiles! Food was delicious and some surprising options! Our favorites were the appetizer fried shrimp, chow mein, katsu chicken for the kids and the spam fried rice! the team was so friendly and accommodating. they also were able to make several options gluten free!

Another great find in a strip mall of manteca! This restaurant has entof a variety in their menu which would appeal to most people looking for some great food. Since I've never tried ramen, that's what appealed to me. I went with the curry broth and chicken katsu. Not being a breast meat fan their chicken katsu made with breast meat was very palatable, I still would have preferred dark meat but I'll just have to try their pork katsu the next time. I still stay by my opinion that breast meat is bow wow food and never meant for human consumption, their method of cooking breast meat is not bad, in spite of my bias. Their curry broth is a great choice for ramen noodles, I really like the combination. I like to come bad to experience their other dishes, if what I had was any indication of what they can cook I'm sure the rest of dishes are gonna be fantastic.

Oh my gosh the food was so good. I got the Korean sweet and spicy pork and it was perfect. Very good flavors. The fried rice was rich. The garlic noodles were good as well but I wish the noodles were thicker. The restaurant was well appointed. There was plenty of room to sit and the place was fairly busy but thankfully not too noisy! The service was just as good as everything else. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It's a welcome addition to Manteca. We would eat there again.

Very good food and even better service. I would recommend the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer as the fresh flavor with bang bang sauce is too good of a combo. Then their ramen is all very good. The garlic charsiu ramen hits the spot. Also the chicken katsu is fire and definitely worth it. Philly cheesesteak eggrolls are definitely worth the try as it is a very interesting fusion combo. Lastly the service is great and you can tell the family owned restaurant takes pride in their food and service. If you want to watch sporting events you can go watch on their big tv and get a drink too. Some of the best food in Manteca and definitely worth the stop!

We were looking for a spot for lunch leaving town and found this on Yelp. The menu was very intriguing so we decided to give it a try. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. We walked inside and was seated quickly. The menu had tons of options with several dishes we weren't expecting to find. There were Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Hawaiian inspired dishes. And the prices were amazing! We decided on the Tonkotsu ramen, hamburger steak, and bang bang chicken. The food tasted amazing! The hamburger steak came on the sizzling plate, and the sauce was so flavorful. The bang bang chicken was sweet and little spicy. The tonkotsu broth was nice and not salty. Portions were also pretty big. It felt like we barely made a dent! Service was fantastic. You could tell this was a favorite spot for locals. Wayne himself was so nice and friendly. He definitely makes you feel welcomed. This will be one of our spots to visit when were pass through town.

After some early morning fishing, I stopped by ATWK for some lunch. For me, I ordered the Korean Sweet and Spicy Chicken Mix Bowl which comes with corn, cabbage, tomatoes, green onion, macaroni salad and brown or white rice. While I liked the concept of meal in a bowl, the bowl was over powered not only by the amount of sauce, but by the sweetness of the sauce, too. Moreover, the chicken coating was too heavy and tough for my taste. For Korean fried food, I was expecting the lighter flour and starch mixture rather than whatever I was served. As for my partner, he ordered the Bang Bang Chicken entree which comes with fried rice and vegetables with a side of macaroni salad for an additional $1. While his Bang Bang Chicken was not as sweet as my dish, he too felt the chicken coating was heavy. While dining mid-week, there were plenty of non-Asian customers enjoying their meal. However, if you are from the SF Bay Area and are Asian, Wayne himself suggested I order a Katsu or Chicken Breast as the food is geared for non-Asians. Service was attentive and Wayne talked with each customer.

I've visited A Table Wayne's Kitchen twice now. The first time was a great experience. Immediately, you are greeted and sat at a table. It's a smaller location, but still comfortable and perfect for a date or even a small to medium sized group. My first experience had me try the Bang Bang chicken, which was good, I'm just not a big fan of bell pepper, and this dish was very heavy with that flavor. Others rave about it! My second visit was this week and I ordered the Korean Spicy Sweet Chicken with Egg Fried rice. Delicious!!!!! I highly recommend this! It also came with a choice of macaroni salad or green salad. I chose the Macaroni salad! It was good but I would recommend just a little more mayonnaise. My co-workers ordered the Beef Chili Oil Noodle. He said he was really good and flavorful. Other co-workers ordered the Loco Moco and really enjoyed it. In all, we will continue to return and highly recommend anyone give them a try! The menu has so much to offer!

First time trying this place and it was so delicious! Ordered it online , service was fast. Never been inside. It was a lot of food to feed 2-3 people. Absolutely delicious. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the macaroni salad was my favorite. 10/10 recommend this place

We showed up 15 minutes before they closed with 6 people. The food was amazing. I had braised beef ramen. Son had beef and broccoli wife had seafood ramen littlest one had rice with chicken. Every one ate all of the food. No left overs. Seriously the best I have had. Can't wait to go back. Would drive hours for this food!!!!!

the food was so delicious and flavorful! the service was also great, very attentive and efficient! I would definitely come back to try the bang bang shrimp and the ramen. It is definitely a good place to go to for some home cooked meals.

Food was excellent and staff was amazing! They don't take reservations, but they were looking for us after I called. I can't wait to go back!

Unique and delicious dishes! The egg fried rice is great-it's exactly what it sounds like. The pepper steak was awesome. The garlic noodles were excellent-thin, great garlic flavor! Bang bang chicken is lightly breaded, lightly sauced and delicious, and don't worry it's not too spicy, it's perfect for most people. You get a small amount of steamed veges on your plates. The house salad is very good, although just a bit too sweet. Best rangoons I've ever had!! The only thing I wouldn't order again is the Philly cheesesteak rolls. The name is slightly deceiving. They do have beef and mozzarella, but nothing else detected. And they serve it with the same sweet & sour. I think these are a fun menu idea, but not fully thought out. They need chopped onion & bell peppers & a different sauce in my humble opinion. But overall a great experience! Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is nice and clean inside. read more

Found this on some guys elite page because he posted a sizzling steak on a unique dish. I had to come by and try it!! It looks huge through pictures but it's not as big as it seems but it is a reasonable size. I shared this with my mini one and we still had a little leftover to bring home which I finished that night. We came after school for lunch since it was a short day. No customers when we came in but people started to show up after us. I feel like they should have a lot more traffic but they are in a plaza that has other places to eat as well. This sizzling dish is only available for dine in and I must say it is a must to try. We enjoyed our little lunch visit. Hopefully more people will check this place out. Small but a lot of tables. I'd say a great spot for friends and family. Maybe a cute date spot but probably for people that have already been dating. We upgraded for fries. $2 fee. Fried rice is a $1 or plain rice for no extra charge It came with a salad and friendly service. Our server helped box the little portion we had left. We have been here 4 times in the last two months and it has been exceptional each time. The service is always top notch and friendly as the owners are always there. The food is fantastic. Each time we try something new. Yesterday we had them make some small changes to the soup and green beans, and it was perfect. The food is very fresh, unique, and flavorful. We were driving over an hour away to another place to get this type of quality food, but now will just of here. I highly recommend the restaurant! read more

We are in town for a Spring Break getaway to Great Wolf Lodge from the Salinas Valley. My family loves Ramen and Won Ton soup so we thought we give this highly rated local spot a try for dinner after a great day at the water park! The kids and my wife had the Wor wonton and noodle soup. I had the pork belly Tonkatsu Ramen in a chili oil broth. We also had the Philly cheesesteak egg roll as an appetizer. My family and I stopped by Wayne's Kitchen after seeing the great reviews while heading home from Yosemite -- and let me tell you, the hype is real. The space is relatively small and was packed on a Sunday morning. Most of the tables seat four, and we had five in our group. We could've squeezed into a smaller table, but the owners kindly pushed two together so we could sit comfortably -- such a thoughtful touch. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was bursting with flavor and creativity. Everything came out piping hot, clearly made fresh to order. I didn't get any pictures because we devoured each plate the second it hit the table. My favorite dish had to be the fried pork chop. It came boneless with spicy Serrano chilies, and the meat was so juicy and tender I almost thought it was chicken or fish -- it was that easy to eat. I genuinely wish I lived closer to Manteca just so I could eat here more often. It's one of the few Asian fusion spots I've truly loved. The flavors felt like a blend of American and Hawaiian influences with a strong Chinese foundation -- totally unique and so satisfying. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that the service occasionally forgot a dish or drink from our order. But they were incredibly busy and still super kind, so I'm not docking any stars. Fantastic food quality. Clean and tidy restaurant. Easy and brisk customer service. Garlic noodles were flavored excellently! Highly recommend! Bang bang chicken had great flavor and fried to perfection. Hamburger steak was tender (could maybe use a different bbq sauce to differentiate the flavor profile) but it's nice to see it brought out on a sizzling cast iron platter. Scallion pancakes were ok; I think it was a little more bland than what I'm used to, but fried to crispy and I enjoy the crispiness. We also got the sweetheart bun. Normally i don't like overly sweet things and this was a bit too sweet for me but it's such a unique dessert and they did a great job baking it so I do recommend it. I had the tonkatsu and crab rangoon... not bad. The tonkatsu for me was just decent in terms of flavor profiles of others in the area that I've had. The rangoon was tasty but a bit too greasy for my liking. They were in a small puddle at the end of the container. (I'd probably order again but napkin them all down first!) I did delivery so I can't comment on customer service or anything currently, but I'm sure I'll check them out in-house at some point to see if I can't update this. read more

WOW! So good!!! So many Asian restaurants, but most are just okay, not remarkable in any way and the food doesn't taste truly fresh. A Table Wayne's Kitchen is a step above and truly into a Bay Area competitive level of quality cooking. There's a mix of Chinese, Korean and Philippino dishes and some that are a blend. I'm not lived in the area in awhile and moving across country soon, so I won't be frequenting this place as I would have if I still lived nearby. I will be remembering it though, as it was that good. I ordered with the intent of having leftovers, which I did, but not as much as I could have. You know how it is when something is so good you just can't stop eating because it is so good? My order: Fried Green Beans: absolutely perfect. They weren't oily in the least. You could taste the freshness, as biting into each you'd feel the peas inside as you bite down: a sign they weren't overcooked and weren't old green beans that get soft. The batter was light, crispy and full of flavor. Bang Bang Shrimp: again perfectly cooked and the flavor balance was spot on! It can be easy to overcook shrimp, but the chefs got it right. Garlic Noodles: delicious comfort food st its finest and again perfectly cooked. The noodles are thin, but cooked ala dente, so not mushy. The garlic wasn't over cooked where it can become bitter in such a dish. It's on the surface so simple, but just so good! Deserves 10 stars, not a measly 5 :) Do yourself a favor and try this place out. Worth a drive from Modesto/Stockton/Lathrop/ Tracy etc read more

Made an unplanned stop for a quick lunch. We ordered the Huli chicken, cucumbers with chili, spring rolls, garlic noodles, stuffed mushrooms and the pot stickers. The Huli chicken and the garlic noodles were simply delicious. All dishes were good portions and reasonable prices. Service was fast and staff were so nice, friendly and welcoming. read more

Similar to Kitty's, which is located in an older strip mall their new spin off fusion is also located older strip mall on the corner of Louise and Main Street. Restaurant is newly renovated with a tasteful modern look. The staff is friendly, very helpful and checked in often. I really like their menu and have been wanting to give this place a try. Staff is super friendly and helpful and guided us in choosing the pork dumplings and both a chicken combo dish and the beef noodle dish. We asked for the spicy oil on the side for the pork dumplings which had a bit of a sour taste to it. I couldn't really place the taste and actually enjoyed the leftover dumplings more the next day after I was more familiar with the taste. I should've listened to the server who quizzed me at least three times to verify if I wanted the spicy beef noodle dish to be spicy. I insisted on spicy and it was definitely spicy as in Asia Thai spicy. The hubs took one bite and pushed it to the side of his dish, I was only able to eat part of it because I added steamed veggies and rice to reduce the heat. At least three other patrons who came in after us, ordered the spicy beef noodle dish and asked for mild. Seems weird that you would have to ask for mild when you're ordering a dish that has spicy in the title. Taste is very good but I'll have to request that it not be so spicy. We also enjoyed the Crunchy Korean chicken which was also on the spicy side, even though the hubs ordered it mild. Felt the chicken would've been better served as an appetizer because it was far too crunchy to really eat with the rice and veggies. The babes loved the homemade macaroni salad, which is a mayo base and mild similar to the macaroni salad at Hawaiian restaurants. We also loved the green salad, especially the thanks to the homemade Japanese style dressing. Prices are very reasonable, quick service, large portion sizes talk about and a nice selection of dishes. Will definitely be back to try other dishes and order mild to medium spicy. read more

Fantastic food and service. It's worth trying this place. I'm not even a huge fan of Asian food and I will be back for sure. Best crab Rangoon I have ever had. The waitress has great energy and personality. First time dining here for a quick bite. The menu has great variety for anyone and any type of cravings. They also have a daily special menu. I ordered their spicy fried pork chop . It brought me back to my childhood, one of my favorite dishes growing up. Portion and price is very generous! Thank you for great food and hospitality. It had no meat at all, and the extra hominy I paid for was barely noticeable. When people order takeout, it's usually because they're in a hurry. Customers shouldn't have to check every order before leaving to make sure they're getting what they paid for. This has happened more than once, and it's very frustrating.

As for the important bit, the taste, man... I have had so many amazing Thai meals at places in the bay area and honestly just assumed the most Modesto would get is some great Banh Mi spots. Obviously I haven't had the chance to try the whole menu but my go-to, Tom Kha, this is the best Thai coconut soup I've ever had! The Pad Thai is as good if not better than what I've had in San Francisco as well. I'm really looking forward to bringing friends and family here to check it out in person! Side note... yes, it's also very expensive ordering via Doordash with their added fees but it's 2026 and it's California. The beef noodle soup had a rich, comforting broth with tender beef, the string beans were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, and the salt and pepper tofu was crispy on the outside and silky on the inside. It's not always easy to find good Taiwanese cuisine in the Central Valley, so we're really happy we found this place. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and you can tell they put a lot of care into the food. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Food is amazing, the ramen especially. The braised beef melts in your mouth it's so tender. Service is kind, love this place!
