Several of the windows in my home face due south. Although they were double pane, they had almost…read morezero insulation remaining after 25 years of massive sun. The temperature in the south facing bedroom on a hot 90 degree plus day would always be nine degrees hotter than the rest of the house. I decided to replace not only the four windows in the south facing bedroom, but six other windows that can be viewed in the same field of vision from the street, to keep the aesthetics consistent. The replacement windows I selected are double pane argon gas filled to help keep the heat out during the summer season. I put out a bid on Yelp and narrowed the field down to two companies, Note I did not select the least expensive bid, but actually selected the most expensive bid. My reasoning was a solid five star Yelp rating, BBB A+++ rating and the knowledge and excellent follow up provided by the salesperson, David White. Other factors in my decision were silver coating on the glass to reduce the intense green hue that most argon gas filled windows exhibit and exterior window casings that are solid without decorative ribs that would collect dirt. I was provided with a detailed explanation of the process and same day estimate. The process from start to finish took five weeks. This would have been as little as two weeks if I did not have an arch top window. Curved windows take longer to build, at least for Ameristar. It took me a while to prepare the two rooms, so I was not in a big hurry. The installation was done yesterday. The crew was on time, polite, and from my view, was extremely careful and exhibited excellent attention to detail. The 10 windows were installed in one day. The crew cleaned up their mess very well and everything went according to plan. I am completely satisfied with the entire process. The windows are very elegant looking, not so green and make the house look better. I trust that the temperature in the south facing bedroom will level out with the rest of the house with the argon gas in the windows. Five stars all the way. Well done.

My experience:…read more So i reached out via yelp to andres and was replied to pretty quick. He was able to visit the following day to get measurements / estimate price. He was nice and explained everything. Plus gave suggestions... I gave a downpayment of 10% for everything to proceed. They then ordered it. Rough estimate would be 3-4 weeks for the entire process. They have a physical store in norco which was being run by Andres' wife. After 3 weeks or so give or take... i got a message that they were ready to install. Well within the time frame.... They informed me when they were on the way. They probably took roughly 2.5 hours. Lucas, Andres' son was present. Nothing was rushed and i saw how they handled everything... They can reuse your old door handle... but in my case, i bought a new one... just because. The price: It's pretty fair. It isn't cheap but you get what you paid for. For the peace of mind... ill do it again. Since i got a door replacement, everything was included. From removing the old one , to clean up, trash, installing... and thankfully.... the door i got doesn't need any paint. So it's pretty good. Threshold was top notch. And it seems water / insects wont be able to pop in. Will i choose to work with them again? Probably yes... Once i opt for a screen door... maybe in a couple more months once it gets a little bit cooler.

AVOID This Business - Damaged My Shower- TOOK MY MONEY- and Disappeared…read more I hired SV Glass to replace my glass shower door. He showed up to take measurements and convinced me it was a minor issue and that I would not need a replacement. He quoted me $300 to repair the track, tighten the rollers that the door hangs on, add washers to the handles, and tighten. The experience turned out to be nothing short of a nightmare. Instead of repairing the problem, he ended up completely breaking the glass door -- and concealing it. It turns out he broke the frame that holds the glass door in place, and bent the rollers. He tried gluing it together, but after a week it fell down. It could have shattered and severely injured my family. To make things worse, he took my $300 even though he KNOWINGLY caused more damage than what I originally called him for. I've tried reaching out to him multiple times since the incident, but he has completely stopped responding to my messages. This is incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm now left with a broken shower door, out $300, and no accountability from the person who made the situation worse. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. I rarely leave reviews, but this was bad enough that I felt other people should be warned.

Everyone at Redlands Door were very professional and did a great job on our replacement of three…read morecloset doors. The price was good and our installer Tim was very careful to do a great job. We wanted solid wood doors that are hung from the top instead of the typical bottom track. Redlands Door was able to find the hardware to accomplish this. They ordered the doors and had them painted to match our current color. Two bedrooms had double mirrored doors and the master had three plain doors. All are non-standard sizes, which made buying them from a Home Depot or Lowes impossible. As mentioned, Tim was very through and made sure everything was installed correctly. He found that there was some additional siding that needed to be added to be sure the doors closed with no gap. It was extra challenging as besides being non-standard, the wall are slightly off square. He also did a great job in cleaning up the area when done. I would not hesitate to recommend Redlands Door as well as call on them again.

I called, he said that he had it down for Thursday afternoon and showed up at, if I understood him correctly, noon and when I wasn't home just left, didn't even call, just left. He said that he could still make it tonight possibly around 5:30, to which I agreed, but I felt it was reasonable to say that if he couldn't make it, I wouldn't try rescheduling again. His response was that he doesn't really work on a strict timeline (paraphrasing) and that he knew my time was valuable so he would pass on the job. My job is a relatively small job, I want to add a dog door to our slider, so I get it the it wasn't worth his time, but then say no at the start, don't give me a rough quote and then schedule an appointment just to miss it. Several people I reached out to have already told me they don't do the work I'm requesting, which is fine. I can't judge the quality of work, but the customer service, at least in my case, wasn't good.

After weeks of one-sided follow-up, he reversed course, accused us of essentially trying to scam his company, and refused to cover the repair. We had planned to hire this company for an upcoming $10K+ project. We are incredibly grateful we found out how they handle problems before moving forward. Run, don't walk, to the next company you received a quote from. During a door and window installation, the crew knocked my mom's Starlink panel off a table next to her Traeger smoker on the deck. Fortunately, the Starlink wasn't damaged. However, the incident immediately drew our attention to the adjacent Traeger, where a knob had been completely sheared off. My family had recently cooked a meal using the smoker, and it was fully functional--including the temperature-control knob--before the crew arrived. We immediately called Rick that same afternoon. He told us mistakes happen, emphasized that his employees were like family to him, and assured us he always makes things right. During the conversation, Rick even volunteered stories about other incidents involving his crews: a $700 lamp they had broken at another customer's home, a screwdriver dropped from a roof that broke another customer's windshield, a broken garage door he was dealing with at another home, and so on. At the end of the call, he took $150 off our nearly $5,000 project and promised to get the Traeger repaired. I specifically told him I did NOT have the time to manage the repair myself since his crew had caused the damage. He agreed. The next day, Rick texted that his guys didn't know they had damaged it but were extremely apologetic because they liked my mother. He again accepted responsibility and said they would handle the repair. See Exhibit A. Then nothing happened. I followed up. See Exhibit B. Eventually, I was told the foreman was looking into metal glue. Then nothing happened again. After another follow-up, the story completely changed. See Exhibit C. Rick essentially accused my family of trying to defraud his company and said he wasn't spending $600 on an "old, rusty smoker" because his team hadn't damaged it. Please. This was almost a $5,000 project. Do you really think I would spend hours following up, contacting Traeger, researching repairs, and dealing with a contractor over a few hundred dollars because I wanted to scam someone? This was never about the money. It was about principle, integrity, and accountability. Rick is a smooth talker--he can talk the talk as a salesman. Unfortunately, in our experience, he didn't walk the walk. At one point, Rick sent us back the same photograph we had originally sent him showing the Starlink on the ground next to the smoker, apparently as part of his "investigation." Rather than honoring his original commitment, he used the photo to construct an explanation for why he believed his crew couldn't have caused the damage. See Exhibit D. I ultimately spent hours dealing with Traeger technical support. Traeger confirmed multiple times that there was no way to simply glue the sheared component back onto the smoker. Interestingly, while Rick and his team claimed they couldn't find the part because it was such an old smoker, Traeger immediately located it and emailed me the price, quote, and ordering information. Surprise: metal glue wasn't going to cut it. I paid $160 for a replacement temperature controller box and then received a $450 quote for a handyman to travel to my mom's house to complete the repair. So much for "just use metal glue." My mom is absolutely infuriated. I'm honestly not sure what upsets her more: being called a liar by Rick or having her beloved smoker referred to as "old and rusty." And that's the real lesson here: Mistakes happen. What matters is how a company handles them. Rick initially accepted responsibility and promised to make it right. After weeks of inaction and repeated follow-ups from my side, he changed his story, questioned our integrity, minimized the damage, and refused to stand behind what he had promised. If you have multiple contractors quoting similar prices and the main thing drawing you to this company is how smooth Rick is during the initial sales pitch, RUN -- don't walk -- to the next company on your list. Maybe you'll have a five-star experience. I genuinely hope you do. That's what we expected based on the majority of the Google and Yelp reviews. But you may also end up in the one-star section of Yelp wondering why nobody warned you. Go look at my other reviews. I don't make a habit of bashing businesses. I generally prefer smaller companies because I want to support people who genuinely care about their customers. Rick says he cares about his customers. See Exhibits F. He was on time for both the initial measurement and the actual installation, which I really appreciated. The work itself was extremely thorough and clean, and you can tell he takes pride in doing things correctly. He was also very responsive and readily available whenever I had questions before the installation. I never had any issues come up afterward, but I felt confident that if I did, he would have been easy to reach and take care of it.
