Another thing that is a red flag for me is some vague but niggling questions... getting an "invoice" with nice round numbers and no itemization. And them telling me they would just charge me a bit less because of the credit card 3% charge... which comes from their pocket, not mine, so I can't quite figure out that one. Also got a "discount" off a large bill because they kept my car for a week instead of a couple of days so they "paid the other part out of their pocket"... or the original amount was overcharged? No one really knows do they... There's more, but that was enough to get me looking another direction. Nice people that I would still do business with if I could overlook the other things

So I went in and asked for an estimate to fix it and advice on what needs to be done. Verdict: it works just fine but it needed to be charged! I asked them, are you sure? I'm pretty sure it's not. But it was blowing cold at that moment, so I believed them. Can't remember how long it lasted but I promise it wasn't long, like a day maybe. So, I'm out another $400 and of course it still doesn't work. I'm done, forget it... not wanting to pour any more money into an old car. I'll go back to my old mechanic in the future. I'll give this three stars just because I didn't go back and haggle with them so I have no idea what the final outcome would be, but I can Guess (sorry, just that was too good to pass up)

I took my 2010 Nissan Armada back twice and they still did not repair it, so I wasted my time and money. They pretended like they did and were dishonest. Another mechanic shop afterwards showed me where they did not repair. My family has used this place before also and they took months to repair their minor service requests on their Ford Explorer. They also did not repair it correctly the first time either. My father put marks on some parts in the vehicle to see if they would actually get replaced, and he got his vehicle returned with the marks in the same place meaning they were not replaced at all. They are very dishonest. One of the times I was there, the employees were arguing with a neighboring business over parking. The people here are not very friendly, have a dirty office and waiting area, do not repair your vehicle sometimes and are dishonest about doing so, and you will waste a lot of time here. I highly recommend spending slightly more money for way better quality of service somewhere else locally.

The truck is fairly old so, among several other things, they quoted new shocks and strut assemblies. After getting the truck back and driving a few days back and forth to work I noticed that it always had a pronounced lean where the passenger side of the vehicle was riding several inches higher than the driver's side. After calling to confirm, Phil stated that they had done an alignment and had even verified the ride height/level. The truck was definitely leaning though so something was not right, I took it to the Toyota dealership and they showed me the issue. Fort Worth Auto Garage had installed the wrong shock and strut assemblies on one side of the vehicle. I don't believe Fort Worth Auto Garage actually did an alignment or a ride height check, because it surely would have been noticed that the incorrect parts had been installed on one side of the truck. That being said, once I confronted Phil with this information he did agree to install the correct parts so eventually it was fixed. Fort Worth Auto Garage do have reasonable prices, however they seem to be a bit sloppy with their work and they do not seem to pay close attention to details, such as part numbers.

After 3 mos of getting ripped off for over $1700 from a local mechanic who would "fix" my problem only to have my light come on the next week. then tell me he needed to do more work because there were "so many problems with my car"... I'd had enough! A sweet co-worker told me about Heath - said he was one of the kindest, most honest mechanics/people she'd ever done business with. So I called him up, took my car in that next day, his mechanic Tyler assessed the problem and literally had my car fixed in one day! I showed Heath the bill from the former mechanic and he showed me where he waaayyy overcharged me. Heath charged me 1/4 of what the other guy had, I spent less money, got better and faster service, never had to leave my car overnight, and he truly fixed my car! Heath is a Christian and honest.
