I'm very happy to report that Greased Lightening can do that emissions inspection, and fix you up with an oil change as well, as we did with our sweet little Mustang automobile recently. The guys are always pleasant and helpful. They have a waiting room with a television set that plays shows that remind me of home. They have a pop machine if you're thirsty, and the prices for those sodas are quite reasonable. Also, I always appreciate the mechanic shops whose waiting rooms have a coffee table full of a variety of magazines, as they do at Greased Lightening. We appreciate these guys a great deal. I had an issue with my car that my dad couldn't figure out. He recommended A Premier and I brought the car in. Tracey greeted me and had me explain the situation with him. He listened and provided an opinion on it as well. It was late in the afternoon and he said they may get a chance to look at it that day but would definitely get to it first thing in the morning. Next day I got a call from Tracy and they had found out the issue. Tracy explained what the problem was and how they discovered it, in a way that someone who wasn't versed in garage talk could easily understand. He gave me a quote and I called my father the mechanic to see if it was a fair quote. He said it was a great deal and to let them fix it. I called Tracy back and let him know I wanted them to proceed. That afternoon I got a call back saying the car was done and ready for pick up. Evidently these Goodyear dealers do not use the same system. I told him the warranty was in my vehicle but he said that didn't matter because they do not honor the Goodyear warranty. Said it would be $40 bucks. Huh? Why is your business called Goodyear and have huge signs out front? Anyway. It tried to show them what it says on the Goodyear website: Warranty Information Lifetime Tire Rotation Lifetime Tire Rotation on new tire purchases of Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly products. Good for the life of the usable tire tread (2/32"). Present the warranty brochure provided by the dealer at time of purchase at any Tire & Service Network location for a free tire rotation every six months or 6,000 miles. (Vehicles requiring mounting or demounting of tires to perform rotation excluded.) That's when the owner and manager got hostile. Threatening me and calling me cheap. Manager said do you even have a job? I swear if my truck wasn't on that lift he would have seen a whole different side of me. Long story short If you bought Goodyear tires somewhere else they will not honor your warranty. If you call them out you may end up in a fight.
