On the phone I was explaining what I knew about the fire pit he built for the previous homeowner which has never worked (he laughed at me in an insulting manner as he interjected that I must have overpaid for the house, so we were already on surprisingly shaky footing). He kept talking over me as I explained the issue and as I mentioned that I was trying to find the right person to help me he hung up. I went to Aisle 10 only to find a slim, pricey and picked over selection of dehumidifiers. I decided to take my business to Walmart. As, I was walking around I noticed some large work wear attire. When we entered we were immediately greeted and offered assistance if needed. The shop offered an amazing display and variety of plants, varying in size and price. The plants located on shelves further away from the windows tolerate less light compared to the ones on shelves closer to the light. This made it easy to narrow down choices for me. Nice selection of air plants occupied shelves near the cas register. Some pots are available for purchase. Inside the store is a small greenhouse displaying plants for purchase in the future. He took my payment, I went to my car and realized that I had NO verification of services/ acknowledgement ... just a receipt showing DEBIT CARD PAYMENT. I went back into the store to get proof that I had dropped off my machine ... chain of custody ... This guy, smirked at me and said, "I can print you out one." He should have printed one right along with my payment receipt. I should not have had to ask for something that is owed to me, as a customer. A young Black employee, stood nearby, while this person continued to demonstrate blatantly apathetic unprofessionalism. It's River Oaks! Historically known for harboring racists and racist-acting people. This white guy treated me like he was doing me a favor. He treated white customers with respect.
