I have used this towing company to tow cars off the parking lot of an apartment building I own. They have been responsive when I call to get a car towed. When the spot is marked "Reserved" and you are not a resident/guest of the apartment building... You.. Will.. Be... Towed. And this is the company that should do it for you! By the way, anyone who has been towed by them will give them a 1 star review. That's the nature of the business. People are pissed when their car gets towed. After being asked, refused to write specific fees on the receipt. From other reviews, seems like they have a history of scratching cars when towing. They towed my car from a spot with absolutely no "tow zone" signs in sight. When I pulled up to get my car back, I wasn't sure if I was at a tow truck company or some crack dealers trap house. The place is disgusting, run down, looks abandoned. Their tow trucks are all on their last leg rusted out junk. When I saw my car, it was parked within inches of another car beside it and when I got closer I noticed a massive/deep scratch in the door. I immediately said something to the crack dealer...I mean tow truck operator and all he had to say was "there is no way a tow truck could do that" I then asked him well did you tow the car how would you know were you there? To which he responded "no I didn't tow the car". I told him he would be hearing from my attorney and he said go ahead we've been sued before. Whatever you do, do not trust this company. They are a Predatory towing company, who take advantage of people who are in a bad situation. I borrowed my dad's car and parked in my spot at my apartment complex, which was then towed for not having a permit. When I called, I was informed that it would be $250 cash to retrieve my car, which hadn't even been there for a day. Naturally, I got upset when I heard that number, and the guy on the phone was rude to me and told me it was my fault for getting it towed in the first place. Not only is what they charged me Illegal in the state of Ohio (yes, I confirmed that the Public Utilities Commission), they refused to give me an itemized receipt or a real explanation of the fees (his exact words were "oh it's just a general impounding fee). And when I told him that the fees they charged were not what the law says was allowed, he lied to my face and told me that they should really have charged me over $300, but they were giving me the "student discount", even though they never asked for my student ID or anything. This place is sketchy, and clearly taking advantage of people in illegal ways. P.S. if you ever get towed, if they do not tell you that you are allowed to take them to small claims court to fight the charges if you believe you were wrongly towed, THAT IS ILLEGAL AND THE TOWING COMPANY WILL BE FINED IF YOU REPORT THEM. read more

First off this has nothing to do with the tow, that is on the management that runs my apartment building. They failed to give me a parking permit or at least tell me that I needed to purchase one. This review is about the character of one of the workers here. I was woken up by the sound of my car being towed at 4 in the morning and immediately headed outside to find out what was going on. Sadly, I forgot to bring my keys with me so I got locked out. When the man was done with my car I asked if I could use his phone to call my boyfriend to let me back into my apartment and he hesitated and let out a sigh. I've never come across a person who would leave a young girl outside in the middle of the night in a dangerous area (I live in Clifton for gods sakes and it was very hot in my apartment so I was wearing small clothing) and hesitate to let them use their phone. He probably doesn't have a wife or children because what kind of man does that? He also used *67 which I thought was kinda strange. They are always quick to respond when I call them to get abandoned vehicles off my property. It Is nice that they have an impound lot as well since some tow companies will only move a vehicle to somewhere else. If I have a vehicle towed that someone on my property was trying to keep they have been able to get it back quickly. I have not received a single complaint from anyone about their experience in retrieving a vehicle from them. It stinks to have your car towed in general so I understand why they get bad ratings but there is always a reason why these cars got towed. read more

I went to go retrieve it and the guy handed me a piece of paper and said "here ya go, have a nice day". I've never been towed before so I thought he was handing me a bill I had to mail in so I left. The next day I parked in a legal overnight parking spot and I was towed again. When I called they said, "you didn't pay us so we towed you again". So I was charged for 2 tows ($217.78). When I came to pick my car up, again, the OWNER was there and was unbelievably rude. I paid the $217.78 and as I was driving out of the lot, two of his workers were yelling "See ya f*cker!" and "Bitches always pay!" while the owner was standing there laughing at the whole scene. This is a scam company. parked in a private lot by mistake (pouring down rain & never saw sign) - they have scouters (lowlife that calls as soon as you park in the lot) & tow your car in less than 5 miinutes. They towed my car from the dillonvale plaza. I went to deals to buy a birthday gift and walked across the street to the house in which the party was. I came out to leave to find my car gone. After getting the police involved I found out A plus had towed it. They stated that "any car in the lot after 11:30 was free game". When I questioned why my car was chosen out of a row of 6 other family members all parked next to me I was given the shoulder shrug. I also asked why there were no signs stating vehicles could be towed after a certain time, and again was given a shrug. I had to pay $109 to get my car back the next morning. It is complete bullsh** considering I was a paying customer in the lot in which they "stole" my vehicle. Not to mention they claim to be open 24hrs. I called on my way to let them know I was coming to get my car but when I got there is was all locked up. I called and the guys said he would be there in approx 20 mins. After 45 mins and still nobody there I called again only to be disrespected and told "dude I said I'd be there, you need to wait". Trent owns or works at the company. They use to be kenwood towing, and we had their sign on our property in case we needed to have someone towed. We set the deal up that we would call. To make a long story short our next door neighbor also uses A plus towing, and his tenant claimed we were slightly on the property. So A plus towed my wife's car off my property while I was a customer of his company. A plus claims that he is not responsible to know what the property lines are, but you think he would call his customer's since it was during business hours, and we were set up to call him if there was a problem. Sounds like a court date is in order for Kelly Blue Book value since the car cannot be replaced ! To give an update on 12-29-2015 My wife and I got a judgement against trevor rose of A Plus Towing in small claims court in hamiltjon county,ohio. the court case is 15CV26127. A Plus Towing has a sign on my property and I regret the day I allowed them to put a sign on my property. If you read the Ohio Revised Code go to section 4513.601 and that explains the law in ohio. Tow Companies recently came under more regulations. Keep in mind that if you approach a tow company that is just starting to pick up your car in a private tow zone the tow company is suppose to offer you the operator of the car or the owner by written notice or oral offer that you can pick up the car for the half off price which is $45. Tow companies on private towaway zones can only charge $90 for the tow and $12 per day storage. There is no a record of this company losing a case in court, and I will keep every one posted. A Plus Towing still has our car since September 2, 2015. If you are a business wanting a tow company do not hire A Plus Towing or Kenwood Towing that is the same company. read more
