Warning about Bill's Auto Repair & Towing Service…read more I want to share my son's experience with Bill's Auto Repair & Towing Service so others know what they may be dealing with. My son was in an automobile accident Friday evening. The police called Bill's to remove the vehicle from the scene. We have roadside assistance, but I understand that police can require a vehicle to be removed immediately for safety reasons. When Bill's arrived, the driver said the car was going to their impound lot. My son asked about having it towed elsewhere. He was told that would cost $250 plus mileage, and the driver convinced him it would be cheaper to have the car taken to Bill's garage, where he was told he could pick it up the next day. What he was not told was that the garage would be closed for the entire weekend. When he was finally able to get the vehicle today, his bill was $328.79, including $25 per day in storage fees while the business was closed. They also initially attempted to charge him an additional $100 in mileage because the tow-truck driver had been pulled away from another job at Kings Toyota and wanted to charge my son for the driver's travel to and from that job. After disputing it, that charge was removed. On top of all of this, they would not accept a credit or debit card. They required payment in cash. My issue isn't that a tow company charged for towing and storage. My issue is how this was handled: my son had just been in an accident, was told taking the vehicle to their garage would be the cheaper option and that he could retrieve it the next day, wasn't told they would be closed all weekend while storage charges accumulated, and then faced an attempted additional $100 mileage charge unrelated to towing his vehicle. I would strongly recommend that anyone dealing with Bill's Auto Repair & Towing Service get the full towing charge, destination, storage fees, business hours, and payment requirements in writing before allowing them to take your vehicle.

I just wanted to give a little shout out to Jess'n'sons: I was actually helping a friend out of town on vacation after their car was towed from the street. The situation was pretty lame: there was 24 hours 'no parking' notice for a public service, our friends were out of town already - and, as most impound lots are - there's a daily charge once your towed. We arrived to pick up the car, and it was a little difficult to find the office at first, but once I found it, the staff was friendly. They were kind amidst the frustrating circumstance, and even knocked a little off the bill of keeping the car because of the situation. Cool. So, again - if you're going to be impounded for a silly ticket, these are your guys.

Once I picked it up the second time, the fixed area of paint was raised / had a bubble almost under the paint. Keep in mind this is a very small area on the side of my car that was done wrongly not once, but twice. After the second time, I called and spoke to the manager. He denied any issue with the quality of work that was given and requested photos to show the issue. He failed to contact me back and I went through my insurance regarding the issues with Woods. They have since been taken off Nation Wides list of shops they work through. I will include photos to show the lack of quality. When I suggested they test cars in motion to avoid rework, I was dismissed as not being an "expert" and told to sit and wait, which I did for an additional hour, while this new issue was being fixed.
