I had such a great experience today. I have an HP printer, about 5 years old. It had a "paper out" error. I wasn't sure if it was a fixable issue. I called A Plus Printer Services, spoke with Curt, and got the answer. He suggested I try a few things to see if the problem might be fixable. After we ran through those things, he determined that it was not worth fixing. The error was an internal error and would be very costly to repair. Curt was knowledgeable and was looking out for me. He could easily have suggested that I bring my printer in for an expensive repair. I will definitely bring any printer, label maker, typewriter or other machine to A Plus Printing if I need help in the future. Very ethical and honest. read more

This is an honest business. On 8/5/19 I took in an older Canon printer because it had stopped printing and was making a strange noise. The experienced technician there turned it on, listened to it, and told me 'I could take your money to take it apart and diagnose what gear is malfunctioning, but I can tell from the sounds coming from it that it would require parts that are no longer available in the market due to its age, so I am sorry to tell you the fact that it can't be repaired and save you the cost of diagnosis.' That was sad but refreshing. I will go back to that company if I have problems with a newer printer in the future. They have my appreciation and trust. read more

First because I had trouble finding someone to work on my old printer; then because the works done within one day. I had attempted to make the repair myself and spent a lot more money for a part from the internet that turned out to be faulty. A-Plus' price was mush less for the part. Free estimate and diagnosis. Kurt is prompt. Within 24 hours our old HP K8 Inkjet Printer was complete. A-1 charged less than the Used Computer Store in Berkeley, which mis-diagnosed the problem. This place is absolutely terrible. Stay away from here. We brought our copier (Xerox) there and they said they can fix it. They took it, charged us $450 for it and then returned it. After 1 week, the copier was still jamming again. They took it back and said they would have it back to us in a week. Every week, I have called back and they have said they'd get it back next week, then the next, then the next. It has been 5 weeks!!!! Have you ever heard of a copier in a shop for 5 week? Also, when I first asked them to refix it, they actually had the gall to tell me I needed to pay another $65. When I told them that if I had know it would have cost me that much on top of the $450, I would have never brought it there. Then the guys responded, "Well, because we want to serve you as our customer, we'll waive that charge." That was 5 weeks ago. If there was any way to give 0 stars or negative stars, I would. I have been using A-Plus Printer Services for years to repair my printers and have nothing but great things to say about them. They are friendly, prompt, and provide excellent service. My office runs on communication. Communication with my team, my patients, and my other colleagues. So when a printer Broke down and I needed to get the printer fixed, I got a little haywire. I went to the retail stores and even though printers might be cheap, ink is crazy expensive. So before I upgraded, I figured, I'd give this place a call. Omar was my knight in shining armor. He fixed my printer and actually gave me options to SAVE money.... I am so happy with his service, the turn around time and the fact that he came to the office to look and pick up the computer. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use A-Plus Printer Services. We used them in our offices to do a printer repair and they called EVERY DAY asking about their payment. We paid them within 7 working days but, during that time, we received no less than 10 calls. They are worse than a bill collector! When I told the 'gentleman' who called me that he and his company's actions were tantamount to harassment, his response was, "we didn't do anything to you." When I informed the man that we would no longer be using his services, his response was, "Well, you might not be working there. So, don't be so sure." This vendor was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend they be contacted for your equipment service needs. read more

I delt with the owner himself so here it goes, Took my office jet pro to this establishment and told the owner himself that printer was missing ink and I wanted a diagnostic! He says that's fine no problem so afterwards I ask what date should I come for pickup he says it will take a week but before next Friday! So today is 1 day past Friday now Saturday (no call back) SO I call to check the status when he answers he says it's a ink error? Then says let me turn it on and see what's wrong with it!!! So basically I waited a whole week for him to tell me something I already told him which is there's ink missing!!! I feel as if there taking parts off printers without the customer knowing!!!!! My old-faithful printer HP 8500 OfficeJet Pro --- seeming out-of-the-blue starting making sort-of growing noises. Seemed like it was going to warm up to print - but then...just stalled. Repeated tries just ended in repeated noises and then stalls. Looked on Yelp and called five places (it was a Saturday). Eventually 4 out-of-the five places called, but A-Plus Printer called back that morning. Kurt (or Curt?) said they were vey familiar with this printer and could probably fix it. So, on Monday morning I took it in -- but to the wrong place. Had too many repair places in my Navigator and went to the wrong place. That placed charged me $30 and said it needed a belt or something, but they could not get it. (The place was nice.). Then, I called Kurt - a bit ashamed since I had told him, gratefully, I would be bringing the printer over - but ended up going to the wrong, but nearby place. Anyway he was very helpful and nice. Did not charge me. Called in a couple of days and said it needed a belt or something and he thought he could get it. He was able to get it. Because I was leaving on a trip I asked if, since he had to printer, if he would check to see if it needed Print Heads and if it did, to please charge me and put them in. He called back and said it did, said he would get them and he charged me half the price if I had purchased them on my own. Then, he discovered a sensor was off - - causing the paper to intermittently curl when the printer tried to come out of the printer. Kurt kept in communication with me. Did not charge me for the sensor fix and told me repeatedly he did not want me to pick my printer up and then have problems with it. Well, I picked it up and it better than new. I am so happy with my newly-fixed printer, totally cleaned (like a refurbished printer) and how very nicely I was treated. Recommend highly without reservation. In the old days, I was given best counsel and repair for my inkjet printers, and the best prices on cartridges.
